    【English subtitle】
0:39 today’s video is about defense, as I was asked yesterday.
0:50 I decided by myself what kind of defense to tell.
0:55 So today I'll teach defense on singles.
    1:07 Yes, defense is difficult.
    1:18 So showing TAGOKEN WORLD,
1:24 I want to tell you about "avoid risks" on singles defense.
2:33 Ok, let's start receiving (defense)!
2:35 There are 3 points, and front.
2:55 I'm going to do defense in these space.
3:02 The most important thing is how to keep your body balance.
    3:09 Don't just stand upright.
3:12 If you do so, you cannot respond to the shuttle fast.
3:20 I'm showing you how to deal with a sharp shot.
3:30 First, shift your weight down.
3:35 It's very import in singles.
    3:52 Stand widly.
3:58 If you don't really understand that, you are doing like this.
4:11 So stand widely to put your weight down.
4:16 It's similar to this movement.
4:52 I'm showing some examples. Right side at first.
5:38 I'm going to tell later where to return.
5:57 Don't leave your weight where you hit the shuttle.
6:06 Shift your weight (balance) forward after you hit.
    6:30 I'm showing a bad example.
6:58 So try to shift your weight forward after you hit.
    7:10 Left side nextly.
8:04 Try not to move your weight backward.
8:20 Even when you hit backwards, shift your weight forwards after that.
8:53 Why do we have to move forwards after hit?
9:12 It enables us to prepare for next shot easily.
9:25 Don't hit just by a hand. Use weight shift.
9:32 Like receiving with your body.
9:36 This is just hitting with a hand.
9:39 If you do so, you cannot shift your weight forward.
9:46 Suppose I had a son; his name is Kembou.
9:55 This shuttle is Kembou. He is coming flying here from opposite court.
10:02 You must not catch him by a hand, but by using your entire body.
    10:14 This is "avoid risks"
10:22 Avoid risks as less as possible, and move forward after hitting. It also stabilize your balance.
    10:34 My Kembou〜 Like this.
10:43 Go catch your son firmly.
    10:47 Bad example
10:53 This is like you, Joo.
11:39 You can do better defense in this way.
11:54 Next is how to return when the opponent smashes to your cross court.
12:01 I want you to imagine real situation in practice.
12:08 So don’t stand in the center.
    12:15 Stand around here.
12:18 You wait for straight smash from 60% to 70% .
12:24 And wait for cross smash from 30% to 40%.
12:29 I think it is a basic stance.
12:31 You have to understand the basis.
13:13 As I said before; hit, then move forward.
13:17 Because this shuttle is Kenbou (your son).
    13:24 Next is left side.
    13:59 This is good one!
14:04 Like Lee Chong Wei! He is incredible.
14:13 He easily returned my cross smash!
14:21 If I smashed to cross when my stance is not good, the situation would get worse for me.
14:26 So I could smash to cross only when the situation is really good for me.
14:29 Then did you smash mostly to straight court?
14:31 Yes, it’s ok if I cannot finish the rally by that smash. But just not to make my situation worse.
14:39 Also when cross smash comes,
    14:50 Catch the shuttle forward.
15:03 Try to receive the smash in this point.
15:06 Receiving at the side is too far.
15:30 This is too far (late).
15:37 To receive in front, pay your attention to the front after you hit a lob shot.
15:46 Pay attention to the front, but also think about the case the opponent hit to backward.
16:00 Also after you hit at the back, you have to stand lower again.
    16:59 Do you have questions?
17:02 Is it the most important to move your legs effectively?
17:05 It’s quite important. Preparation is also important.
17:24 How to look the shuttle is important.
17:27 Don’t look up to down.
17:28 Looking down to even, or down to up.
17:48 I will upload “the secret of defense part 2” later.

The foot work stuff is great, the way he is hitting it is old school garbage. Modren players hit the shuttle hard with there wrist. When you are looking at a 300 + kilo smash you should snap your wrist and hit is strait. Most of the time if you do this you will have a chance to hit it and even miss hits land in alot. You do not want to hit it like he does because that motion creates a push motion and if you push it most hard smashes will push the racket back and never make it over the net. and if you put a little power in it it will go long. That makes people push hard and pull there power at the last second. That will make the shuttle hit the net or hit a terrible weak shot. If you think and practise like this you will be much better. You should start your swinfg with your wrist hit the shuttle right away and your wrist should have a snaping motion and snap it as hard as you can. If you are looking at a very hard smash you have to hit it as hard as you can. Because with this motion you will get compression it will not go long and the shuttle will either go like a buttet or on miss hits nobody knows where it is going not even the person who hit it. Which is a good thing the shuttle that cannot be read is the best kind. The stupid motion he is showing is old scholl garbage. You should use a sliding motion to get to the shuttle if needed then keep your body upright as much as possibe keep your elbow as close to you body as posible then start your swing with your wrist
hit the shuttle as soon as posible with a snaping motion and hit as hard as posible. What he is showing is the reason Japan has gotten so weak while Korea with my info which was givin to them by Japans head coach a Korean and that is why Korea is dominating right now, (he and all the male international coaches shoud be fired in the US of A some one did this crap to american youg people he would be killed. He is a spy and the coaches are tradors. His foowork advice is solid the rest is why the hard headed japanese men are so lousy. and the stinkin coach is the reason the women taking my advice were the best in the world. Now with this old school thinking along with lots of backwards advice to sabotage Japan has ruined even the womens game. Here is an exsample of the advic he was giving in a mach against China in a finals lift your shoulder and hit the shuttle up. WTF is that garbage. You should never lift your shoulders it hake you body tight and WTF is hitting up got to do with winning. You can hit almost any shot as long as you have enough room from the net or if the shuttle is up high enough by starting your swing with you wrist hittinh the shuttle right away and snaping your wrist and hitting strait or in a downward motion. And you will hit screaming shots. That is why his garbage is only used in as last resort and this piece of hitting advice never used in the last 1 and a half years or so except by people who dont know no better. But watch he already gave it to Korea so now its unfair so I gave it to anyone that I seen playing at the Korean open and they will not dominate any more. I even gave to the eroupeans (sorry for my spelling that is not my strong suit) This info was for Japan to Dominate. But now even Japan knows they have been done dirty and I know the women will start playing and hitting right and I am always watching and learning and looking for and edge for Japan so everyong having this info ( which would of put them on top instead of Koreans) is only temporery. Far as the men go they are hard heade and that keeps the mens side and mixed doubles at a disadvantage. But I have seen some progress in Like Saito big improvment but his Partner Koga is still hiding under the net and running to the back of the court like the Korean crap man has shown japan to do but my advice was to keep one up fromt and one back, the one in the back covers the back and smashes everything and the one in front is always looking to attack the net for kills. Korea does that real well now and Japan is running back likme a bunch of (I hate to put it like this but its true) Like a bunch of Chicken Shits.

PS I do not hate Koreans I hate that oiece of Gargage and the national team male coaches the ones I have been warning that Korea is practicing the rights and Japan are practicing a bunch of gargage. I do not have to see what practice looks like the play under pressure shows all what you practice is how you play under pressure.I have told them a thousand times to show Japans young people and for them to to make sure that the national team practice what I have created along with some of the players who done what I said so I could see the results and keep improving what I try to do to make Japan the best. Now its easy because every player on tour will take my advice even the top players. I am not a biggott but I hate dirty people and this scum bag korean and the Male national team japanese coaches are as low as you can GET. Fucking spy and a hand full of traitors.

Tago I think you are alright and you make me laugh, but if you are going to teach Japanese get with the times you are old school and only beginers who want to play for fun will benifit from this kind of stuff. I tried to give you my advice which is the way the world is playing now and the game has gotten really fun to watch and Im pretty sure is gaining popularity around the world. But I give up.If You wold of put my advise on you tube and added your knolwedge on top of it it would of gotten you lots of sbscribers and helped lots of people out. Now I will continue to give advice to the Japanese and keep improving my Knowledge and hopefully it will stay in japan and of course if a see a plyer from any country who I feel sorry for because they have lors promisw but cannot get to the next level or some that I just feel sorry for. Because it is my work I am helping with which I have helped lots of players from lots of countrys. This kind of Advice I have seen here will not help Japans national team they already know this stuff and it is not used by top players anymore or very little. My goal is not to tell people what they already know it is to make Japan national team the best and to make this game I fell in love with watching about 4 years ago, and when I seen other countrys laughing at Japan because they were so bad I decided to learn as much as I can and help them. An d everytime they start doing good they start playing like crap if they get a couple of weeks off. First I thought it was that Japanese just got satified and quit trying to improve but about 2 months ago I took a good look at what is really happening and it was the international scum Korean and a and full of Japanese traitors giving Korea all the good info and sabotaging the Japanese.
