This triggers me for sure. Was told girl, then boy at the end. I wish techs wouldn’t say anything until they’ve really looked around for a long time. I’ll never forget having to feel all those feelings in front of a stranger.

Thankfully, In my country we did not go to techs for ultrasound. Its either obgyn or fetomaternal (high risk pregnancy doctor) doing the ultrasound..

I have heard of a few cases but it was only because was done too early. Its rare for them to be wrong if they are done closer to 20 weeks and baby cooperates because by then the genitals are fully situated and the baby is bigger and easier to see than just the nubs.
They told me the opposite. I went at 22 weeks and they were all mean saying they baby was too big, too hard to get them to move around. I freaking hate ultrasounds and how mean the techs are during such a special time for ppl

An acquaintance of mine was told boy at their anatomy scan, and was starting to feel doubtful near the end, but they couldn't get a good shot. Sure enough she was right and their daughter was born in December! Other than chromosomal testing, nothing is 100% sure!
Awwww. It's all to common that a gender given at an anatomy scan is wrong unless baby was in the optimal position. We do see many women come in later in pregnancy and when we scan, it's a different gender. Actually, you either see it or you do not! Ultrasound is 100% accurate after 14 weeks.
Is it more accurate after 30 weeks or it's even hard considering baby has grown?😊
Off the bat, I noticed it was a boy because the VERY first picture was a turtle shape. (The cord wasn’t entirely in the way, you’d see shaft and testicles) I have thought of being an ultrasound technician but I don’t wanna look at scans ALL day. It’s more intense or just as intense of schooling as nursing school. But I rather work with sick babies like how I used to be ❤️
Couldnt they have changed the screen so you see blood pumping through the cord.. so its easier to tell gender away from the cord

Funny enough b4 the scan I had a dream, where there was a little boy at my home playing with a motor bike. So it was late, I chased him away he did not go. He was so strong I pushed him, I couldn't get him out the door he sat and looked at me crying. Then my mom said, don't force him out I'll ask his mother to let him stay with us. I said let me try again. I pushed him. N I just couldn't win. That came to me as confirmation that I just need to make peace, boy or gal. But I still can't accept
This happened to me. I thought and prayed for a boy in these 7 months went for an ultrasound and came to know I've a baby girl. My brain just can't accept it and idk how to play with my baby as I always think of a boy and now it's a girl

I had a feeling it was a boy but at 20 weeks I was told that it was unclear and added that it looks like a girl. I was a bit disappointed but I got over it after a few hours because babies are gifts from God regardless of gender. 😅

I had a gender scan at 20 weeks saying the baby was a girl. I then had 3 more scans at another clinic saying the baby was a girl. I had my 5th scan at 35 weeks at another clinic for gestational diabetes and the sonographer said I was having a boy. I'm now 37 so I guess my little kinder surprise will be rocking pink either gender that pops out 🤣 I was hoping for a girl but I just can't think of a boy name if it is a boy.

Knew he was a boy from the second I found out I was pregnant ultrasound tech said he was a girl at 1st because he wouldn't move his legs and she saw 3 lines but when he moved at the last second she said he definitely wasnt a girl

Its very very important for every moms and dads to know what gender their baby at least at weeks 18 we checked out to the INDONESIAN doctor today they have very poor skill they have no idea just took my money and without any result😑 we still dont know our baby is girl or boy
My baby in my wife's belly only got 1 check over and they said girl and the photo isn't as clear as our first daughter but also it doesn't show much and the babies legs are super close togeather I wonder if they got it wrong we just got a midwife vecause my child is born in about a week and she tried looking but said the baby refuses to show its gender. Also the lady the whole time in the unltra sound when she said girl complained that she had just woken up the baby because it wasn't a ultrasound that is done outside on the belly its the kind that is inserted. She was also very young and the appointment only took around 3 minutes.

Yes, this happened to me. At 16 weeks scan they told us it is a girl, the cord was exactly like in this video. And at 22 week scan, they said it is a boy. We were very disappointed...

No, they often make mistakes. At 16 weeks scan they told us it is a girl, the cord was exactly like in this video. And at 22 week scan, they said it is a boy. It is still fresh, and we are very disappointed. We both wanted a girl.
What it was a boy from the start it just needed a better angle the 3 line you were looking at were horizontal anyway when you see girl part its usually vertical lines

The position of the placenta should not stop a doctor from seeing the gender.

The heart rate can differ from minute to minute. It will go up if your baby is moving and will be lower if baby is relaxing. You cannot tell from the heart beat.. Congratulations!
