What should I say about my country (or an European region now that it is clear that without a national currency you cannot be a country anymore!)France where they stopped the test program months ago after 3+ years and since not a word about medical cannabis here...and it's not a surprise since mainstream medias did everything to put in people's heads that hemp or CBD is the same thing then medical cannabis...who lead to confusion and lots of people who believe that medical is allowed since a long time to be precise since they talked about SATIVEX who never made his way to France...and our politics still have the same point of view on medical cannabis it is a myth a scam and just a trick to legalize recreational cannabis...

I’m a medical cannabis patient it’s legal on private prescription but costs a lot. I can’t afford the amount and the strains I need. It’s legal if you’re rich. Illegal if you’re poor. Growers get arrested if they are poor and get lots of profits if they are rich and well connected. Yet I’m prescribed opiates regularly and have been for over ten years! I was offered fentanyl on a recent hospital visit yet cannabis would have helped me enough. How many people die from fentanyl a year? No one ever died from cannabis

    • @zebj16
      @zebj16 Před měsícem +13

The medical cost is around £50 per 3 months. Very old and out of date video - law changed in 2018
Edit: to clarify, the medical costs to obtain a legal prescription, that is, the piece of paper that allows you to possess cannabis, will cost medical fees from £15 a month (Alternaleaf) or £50 for 3 months (Curaleaf) - other clinics have different fee structures.
The cost of the cannabis from the pharmacy starts at around £5 a gram for basic flowers.
Hope this makes it clear as only a year or two ago the biggest expense WAS the medical fees, not the weed itself.

A lot of daily smokers do it for a relief, like how some smoke cigs, vape, drink alcohol.
I have experienced addiction to weed, though it's still super helpful.
I smoked during a long boring depressing part of my life, and without it... I'd probably be dead.
Sure, could have gone to a therapist for it but I wouldn't have anyways... Similar to many others.
Weed can be extremely great for a weekend calm down, or out relaxing with friends.
A lot of my IRL addicted friend's are smoking spice, one of my old friend's HAS DIED FROM SPICE.
They thought it was real weed, but it's a market that only exists because of it NOT BEING LEGAL.
Alcohol is super comparable to weed, and the massive difference is that *WEED'S A LOT SAFER*.

These are older documentaries from the Weediquette series Krishna did. Medical cannabis became a thing in 2019. All you need is a medical (mental or physical) condition and have tried 2 therapies and/or medications that have been unsuccessful. The initial set up costs are pretty steep, but it's not too bad once you're with a clinic. You've got a choice of flower, oils and tinctures, and get a free vape kit with your first consultation. It's not heading anywhere recreationally speaking, but the UK sorted its medical cannabis stuff out which I'd say definitely takes priority. Hopefully they'll add home growing to the list of medical cannabis benefits.

For anyone wanting to do Hidrows extraction method its really easy:
    1. Place both your trimmings/bud (whatever material you are using) and your Extraction medium (I use food grade Ethanol)into the freezer to get as cold as possible.
    2. Once both sufficiently cold (look for 4-8 hours minimum cooling time) place both in a container.
    3. Shake/Mix the mixture for 10 seconds (You can do multiple runs so dont worry about not shaking enough, being too rough will cause more chlorophyll to be extracted).
    4. Using a filtering method, I use cotton placed between two coffee filter sheets inside a metal Sive. Pour your mixture through, do not press down on the material to force more liquid out on first or second run to minimise chrlorophyll extraction.
    5. Pour you filtered liquid into a water Distiller. (These are very cheap nowa days)
    6. Ensure you know how much liquid is placed into the distiller so you can stop the distillation at 85% distilled.
    7. Once 85% of alcohol is extracted, turn off the distiller and leave to cool.
    8. Setup a double boiler on stove if you have an indoor extractor fan above your cooker, or alternatively use a hotplate outside. Remember that alcohol vapour is flammable so try to ensure you dont set yourself or others on fire.
    9. If you can use a heat source to extract then place your mixture near an open window for a day or two.
    10. After heat/time evaporation of remaining alcohol, use the end of a spoon or other metallic object to scoop a little and then away from the mixture bowl apply a heat source such as a lighter. If the material sparks or set alight then it needs more evaporation time. If not then Well done you now have a pure oil.
    Extra Tips:
If you extract before placing in your distiller is very green or even just a hint of green you cna use a strong light to break down the chlorophyll easily. Just leave under a light untill all the green has been removed, please place a lid on your container so not alcohol evaporates.
This oil itself is best used for edibles and such, I personally create my own vape juice using terps for custom flavours. My most recent one is a Trpoical Lemon CHerry flavour :D

It is perfectly legal to buy cannabis seeds from a weed paraphernalia shop on any UK high street, yet those seeds can only be sold as "souvenirs", about which buyers must NOT discuss growing with the seed sellers. IT is time for the UK to follow the lead of Holland, Germany, and other EU countries that have legalized cannabis and thereby opened up a multi-million-pound industry.

In my opinion, cannibis doesnt dull pain. It takes your consciousness away from the immediate, visceral, inescapable nature of pain.
I used to smoke A LOT. In college i would lift weights on a sativa, it really felt great. It really helped me meditate during the process. Focus on my form and breathing, the pain of being near muscle failure was a dull noise in the background.
That being said I havent smoked in 10 years. But I recognize both sides.
Some people are always baked, 12 hours a day. I cant see that as a good thing. Peoples memory is gone, motivation sucked out of them.
Others cant wait to smoke a joint after work, kick off their boots and watch the next episode of that one show.
Still others get a medicinal value from it.
All i know, is that its a crime to lock someone in a cage for years of their life, all for cultivating plants.
It should be up to the people to decide for themselves. Government prohibition simply keeps the prisons full, and the markets black.

I lost a friend to heavy alcoholism last year and still know those who struggle with the negative impact of drinking regularly. After 35 years of involvement with cannabis, I've never witnessed such ill effects, despite the UK government's obsession, at one stage, with cannabis use apparently being linked to schizophrenia. Mental health issues can arise from heavy use, but with harm reduction/ education we can further reduce the minimal chance of this potential outcome. Better to educate than cause harm? Obviously, but, again, the UK's policy makers would sooner ensure otherwise.

It's kept from us out of selfishness, politics, and special interest groups.
It's so wrong, but I'm doing my part in normalizing it. I used to grow a long time ago (can admit now that the crime has expired, I don't even smoke anymore) and I gave it out for practically free. And by showing I'm just a normal dude, not some shady criminal. I do use a lot of CBD though.

Then sit in a shallow dish over night and it'll all evaporate. Use a germination pad under it with a fan blowing over the top. No hot plate needed. 1 ounce of premium flower will produce 5-7 mL of RSO. ❤

We'd also avoid the black market/ criminality aspect and those genuinely involved in growing could make a livelihood from their knowledge.

Well, you'd think so, but, as always, the UK drug laws would still rather make people's lives difficult and encourage organised crime's involvement rather than deal with the situation in a mature and understanding nature. My disability causes a lot of chronic pain since I’ve broken a bone over 300 times and had 19 surgeries. So opioids were sadly my only option. But GA just legalized it for medical use. I’m proud to say I’m finally able to eat, sleep, participate in life, work, AND in 6 months I’ll finally be worked down to be off my opioids completely which has always been a goal for me but I honestly thought I wouldn’t be able to for years. It is legal in the UK for medical use, you just can't get it off the NHS, go private and you'll get it legally providing your condition is approved for it, you just need to have had 2 other medications for your condition prior.
