    I'm currently using the MacBook Air M1 for coding. To be honest, this machine has never disappointed me, even though the M1 chip has been released for more than 3 years. It's still worth using. 👍

      Yeah so if you can code on all these years no issues then it has to be worth something!

    Great video dude! Currently got the Intel 2015 15 MBP which has been a solid machine, but getting old and heavy to carry... this conviced me to get the m1 MBA refurbed. Thanks for the review!

    You can also use a usb cable upstream to you monitor so you can use the usb hub on your monitor and connect your mic and other usb devices.
    This way you don’t have to switch hubs.
    You will also gave a usbc port free for even more devices.
    And the usb a on your monitor for even more devices.
    I have an usb hub with a usb, and 2 usb a and hdmi.
    I connected the macbook pros power cable, a usb a to usb b (printer square) cable and hooked this up to the monitor and a hdmi to the monitor. This way i can connect the macbook pro to the mac and charge it. I only have to plug the usb c to the mac and have it send data from and to the mac and from and to the monitor

    Hi, great video! Just had a couple of questions though:
    Do you think it’d be good for the coming 5 years? I personally use excel and for general web browsing. Some very light editing once in a while and other than that just leisure activities such as watching netflix or youtube.
    Also if you believe it’s good for the next 5 years, would you suggest buying the base model or do you think getting the 16gb ram would be the ideal one?
    Thank You!

      What’s up! I think it’s a fantastic computer and brand new, it should go 4-5 years no problem. I see Apple products usually do that as long as you make sure to clean up old files every so often and keep things updated. You describe doing pretty much exactly what I do with mine.
      As far as storage, I would go as high as you can afford. More storage is always great, mine is the base model and what I don’t need anymore I delete to save space. Hope this helps!

    This the best iPad Air apple have ever made, the 2020 M1. I have 16 gb ram and 1 tb drive.

    You can re order your screen in the settings. Right now you have it set to moving your application windows from left to right if you want to switch screens. But you can adjust the settings to moving the application windows up and down so it matches your screens and makes working on the more natural.

    I really want to buy a 16gb, 1tb version of this of the M1. I am upgrading from a 2013 pro (old college computer from 10 years ago). In your opinion, would it be worth it in today’s time Lifespan wise or would it be more wise to stick with an M2 16gb 512 or M3 16gb 512?

    • @TMTVKC
      @TMTVKC  Před 3 měsíci

      I had that same 2013 MacBook from college probably the worst Mac in history! I would say if your budget permits go ahead for the newest model. But for the budget, the M1 is the way to go. It really is a great computer. Save some money too.

      @@TMTVKC I agree, 100%. I really want the M1 for the nice design and colorway. Do you think it is worth getting the 16gb/1TB Storage one in 2024 as far as the Lifespan of this particular machine model? The base model of the M1 would not do me any good.

    The M1 Air basic configuration is currently $700 at Walmart and was $650 last week at Best Buy. The M2 basic configuration is currently $850 at Best Buy.
    I have been debating between the M1 and M2 13 inch. I'm looking to upgrade my MBP 2015 which still works well and has all the ports. I am a regular consumer and want a laptop for browsing, Netflix, youtube, and light Microsoft Office for remote work, nothing intensive. What would you recommend?

    • @TMTVKC
      @TMTVKC  Před 3 měsíci

      I would recommend the M1. But you should check out a M2 review as well. The M1 is just perfect for what you have described and it runs flawlessly no issues. The newer chips had a few issues which could have been improved by now but that is what I found in my research.

    My wife picked one up at Costco last month for $750 and she loves it. (Time finally for her to retire her '08 iMac 😉) For her useage, there was no reason to spend hundreds more on an M2 or M3. I believe it's still available on Amazon for that price.
