As someone who sells toys on Mecari I hate the changes. Nobody is buying my items anymore and I’m also not buying with my credit. They need to change it back. It was working so well I don’t understand the change.
As a doll collector and someone who’s been using Mercari lately it’s crazy how much they will charge.
It’s just obnoxious. I would think pushing the fee on the buyer would be a good thing for sellers… in theory that makes sense… but nobody wants to pay $20+ for an item listed at $12 😭
@@xCanadensis I bought a vintage juicy couture bag for $100 and I got a processing fee I had to pay of $14 was that not the apps job and usually free it was my graduation present and it was $130 instead of the shipping just being the add on the $14 made it $130 I just don’t know why they changed it

Omg Legends of Oz!! It was an “unofficial sequel” to the original 1939 Judy Garland movie; it’s hilarious that Martin Short voiced an eccentric purple themed villain - must be a habit? 😂 it was such a strange movie! Definitely a must see for that alone lol.
Yeeeess, more Robecca love! I really hope that she comes back in g3, they did such a good job with Venus, kinda wanna see the trio together again

i had my eyes on that same lot of momoko/who's that girl clothing for the longest time haha. happy to see you were the one who got it! they should work really well for your jenny dolls since both momoko and the wtg dolls are a very similar size

Awesome haul Brooke I haven't bought any dolls off macri. Right now my parents and siblings are in the process of getting my childhood AG Dolls out of storage and I'm looking them over and brushing their hair. I'll be cleaning them and fixing up their hair. Then my Gabriella doll was sitting in the bottom of one of the bin and her head got squished in/sunk by her ear on one side and I'm debating on trying to fix it myself by taking off her head heating up vinyl from the inside with either hair dryer or boiling hot water and let it sit and try and get her ear unsunk in. Then get a pack of zip ties at Walmart or get some kind of good string to use as a neck string or I'll just send her into the doll hospital which I've never had to do until now
the bratz sea ponyz are my absolute favorite. I collected all of them in super awesome condition. the sea ponyz come with stands that keep them straight up

@@xCanadensis yup yup yup! when in new condition, their hair is actually super nice quality, but you definitely have to take of it and, oddly enough, keep it out of water or else it really begins to degrade
I remember thrifting a Dorthey back in June and her entire battery Compartment was completely rusted unfortunately.. but the hair is extremely soft and the button to let her sing her two songs is on her belly button.. she has a very similar torso to the Jakks Pacific Hannah Montana/Taylor Swift dolls with the button on the stomach. 🥰

Legends of Oz is one of my favourites! When I saw these dolls I stores I never made the connection 😢 would definitely give it a watch
Volks ended their 1/6 lines in 2009 or 2010, I can't remember. There was a huge sale on their US site around 2011, I think? I got one Who's That Girl doll and a lot of the clothes (but very random clothes). The clothes were mix and match separates and they were in themed lines (one was a lot of pastels and florals, another had mostly black pieces, etc). Once the sale (it was something like 80-90% off) many items were sold out so I have a bunch of stuff but it doesn't match. Volks 1/6 pieces don't really fit American dolls like Barbie, but are likely to fit other Japanese brands. They are very high quality pieces. The dolls were highly articulated, they had anime-style faces, and all had knee-length hair. I believe the idea of the Who's That Girl line was that you would cut and style the hair yourself, and then choose clothes to fit the style and personality you gave the doll.
