I have been an automotive painter for 30 yrs. Started when the old Binks no 7 was on its way out . Went from those siphon-feed guns to gravity fed. Fell in love with the first sata I ever put in my hand. I've made a lot of money with the sata brand. This led me to purchase a 1500 Jet b solv gun 1.3 tip. For basecoat. & 5500 1.4 tip for clear . The 1500 solv is the furthest thing from a problem solver you'll ever buy. It's terrible for high met, atomization is horrible you will absolutely work yourself to death trying to get 3 panels to lay using reducer thats right for the weather with no humidity. I don't care how this gun is set 16 lb air , 18, 20, 22.. 1 1/2 turn out on fluid , open all the way on fluid, closed 3/4. It doesn't matter, & blend you might as well use the paint paddle to sling paint there. it's best used as a paper weight. The x5500 is an awesome clear gun can't praise it enough.
hey man not sure if you're still looking for an answer but me and the more experienced painter have been demoing a 1500 for the past month and a half, we've only laid out single stage so far with it but he is used to his 4000s and he sprayed with a 3000 for many years prior to them, he says the 1500 feels very much the same with better fluid transfer, and almost convinced him into buying a new guy himself, like i said not sure if this helps but hope it does
@@MrSnipes1987 usually for shifting positions or when I stedy with other hand but i always knock the fan adjustment out on those Pretty sure I want the soul edition anyway tho

The problem is the authorized distributors, they raise prices too much compared to what it costs to buy it in Germany even in the United States.
And Canada is even worse!

Both are poor/bad spray guns, even chinese gti clones is much better too much material coming out from the gun
