Thank you for this reaction, Roscoe. Great album review and your interpretation is pretty consistent with what we have seen of Jimin's personality over the years. Jimin has always presented that open face to ARMY, we see him being overcome when ARMY does something particularly touching, but he is also the member who has sometimes shown impatience with members or ARMY. Like Jin and Hobi before him, Jimin has left a love song full of promise and optimism to keep us warm while he is away.

Hey Capn! I'm so sorry that I miss the lives but they usually happen at a very bust time for me. But I am glad that you post them on YT, still, I miss interacting with the Couch Crew, Crotch Crew, Adam's Apple Crew, Feet Crew, etc., etc. (cake, chili, pizza crew so on and so forth😮) ...
Moving on ... I agree that it's very brave of Jimin to put himself out there like he has done with Face and Muse. I really felt very concerned for him with Face, not so much with Muse only because, yes he's still being vulnerable with Muse; but the attack can be brushed off as ridiculous hater mentality when you're talking about love (and the desire for it whether emotionally or physically) versus being attacked for expressing depression and self-loathing. One shouldn't be attacked for feeling any truly harmful human emotions and expressing them publicly since he is an artist and this is his medium; but unfortunately unhappy and sometimes just flat-out mean people find reasons to criticize and attempt to tear down others under the guise of "just being honest". I also believe that not being able to be honest with ARMY all these years (specifically about their plans for the "hiatus") has been hard for them but even more so for Jimin. At least this is what I got from some of what he said during the 2022 Festa Dinner. And he has said it in a few of his songs a few times, that now he can be honest and truly tell what he's feeling.
I don't want to give anything away and you've probably already watched the MMM by the time you read this comment but Jimin's vulnerability and growth is acknowledged. It's a wonderful discussion of an absolutely beatiful album of Jimin's musings on love. That's my interpretation and I'm sticking to it!! 😂
Que linda música para os fãs, as imagens antigas do BTS permeando a música, a cena do Jimin chorando no primeiro dia do show no Brasil em 2019, ainda me emociona. Essa é a música do meu despertador no celular, é uma ótima maneira para se começar o dia, já que se trata de uma música sobre amor e esperança. Vemos em seus trabalhos solos a intenção (proposital ou não) dos membros do BTS prepararem os fãs para a evolução e maturidade que vem com a idade. A necessidade de vê-los não só como ídolos, mas como seres humanos que compartilham as mesmas incertezas, inseguranças e necessidades de quem não vive sob os holofotes. Sobre Face/Muse, Jimin mostra sua grande força e coragem, pois é preciso ser forte e corajoso para demonstrar tão claramente suas emoções publicamente. Um ser humano adorável e lindo por dentro e por fora. 💜🇧🇷

Now that “pause” in Who, makes perfect sense. But can you really put things on pause, when we have continuously gotten quality content from the whole group, during their absence? It is ALMOST as if they never left.
So glad you made the point that “Closer Than This” is separate from the concept Muse is presenting to us as a whole. It’s truly a song for ARMY - he’s said it many times. Jimin is evolving - it will be great to see what he brings to the table after 18 months of being in the artillery unit - oh so close to the DMZ 😳

I do not think it is different thematically, it is a different kind of love in Closer. All the songs are different kinds of love or levels in a relationship. Love is can be platonic or friendship based and still have commitment and deep love ... and also can be paused as you brought up.
