SHOUT !!!!!!!!
I've never seen you look like this without a reason
Another promise fallen through
Another season passes by you
I never took the smile away from anybody's face
And that's a desperate way to look
For someone who is still a child
In a big country dreams stay with you
Like a lover's voice fires the mountainside
Stay alive
I thought that pain and truth
Were things that really mattered
But you can't stay here
With every single hope you had shattered
I'm not expecting to grow flowers in a desert
But I can live and breathe
And see the sun in wintertime
In a big country dreams stay with you
Like a lover's voice fires the mountainside
Stay alive
In a big country dreams stay with you
Like a lover's voice fires the mountainside
Stay alive
So take that look out of here it doesn't fit you
Because it's happened
Doesn't mean you've been discarded
Pull up your head off the floor
Come up screaming
Cry out for everything you ever might have wanted
I thought that pain and truth
Were things that really mattered
But you can't stay here
With every single hope you had shattered
I'm not expecting to grow flowers in a desert
But I can live and breathe
And see the sun in wintertime
In a big country dreams stay with you
Like a lover's voice fires the mountainside
Stay alive
In a big country dreams stay with you
Like a lover's voice fires the mountainside
Stay alive
In a big country dreams stay with you
Like a lover's voice fires the mountainside
Stay alive - Hudba
That is why music is supposed to be played live by real musicians without autotune and plastic talent-shows!
R.I.P. Stuart.
to the person who posted saying 'one hit wonder' ....you have obviously been sniffing the glue!
Listen to that bass!!!
By far one of the most powerful, memorable guitar riffs ever. EVER.
Genius just genius. Sadly missed.
Holy frick, that was one of the coolest live performances I've ever seen.
i never took the smile away from anybody's face. rip stu.
R.I.P. Stuart. You were such a brilliant singer.
Watching this chokes me to tears....Stuart you are so missed forever and always
I was very lucky to have seen this band , they lifted the roof off a very small town in SW Scotland , Been to lotsa concerts with lotsa big names ...never seen better live band....this band stays in my heart forever.
26 years later, and this song still rocks! Good live performance, too. Usually, there's some feedback, but this concert is crystal-clear
I was lucky to see them at The Living Room in Providence..what a performance! They were fantastic and I know Stu's in Heaven, playing on.
woah when did they play the living room???
When I first heard this as a teen, I was blown away. It was so different and unlike any genre I had experienced. This makes me feel so young and untouchable like it did when I first heard my heartbeat almost louder than the drums. Does that make me a geek? who cares, I just got happy! Time is so fleeting, enjoy it you youngsters! Make it COUNT! Do something that is gonna MATTER! I'm praying for all our youth, I know things are tough on you guys. Need advice? Drop by my channel! Peace and luv
Brilliant just brilliant 👍🇬🇧
I always loved this song, especially blaring on the jukebox in the arcade I used to go to back in 1983. It's too bad he's not here with us today, great jam, great voice! :)
+Bill Suszynski Amen ;.....One of the most terrible losses in music .....I loved these guys .. Grew up with Zep and the rest from the 70's but this band is one that made the 80's a great decade also ..........Something awful happened in the 90's though .......Someone got the bright idea that rock needed to be contrasted with hip-hop ;......More divisive crap from todays divisive media establishment .
i cried watching this awsome and so missed
First time to say thank Christ we have CZcams where Big Country and Stuey Adamson will live on forever
They look and sound incredible 12 years later... I am still impressed with this song 33 years later. Nice work guys

This would have been much fun being at the concert. Dancing in the Rain.
In a wet country, stay alive.... Gee, these guys were excellent live too ! Such a dedication, many bands simply would have called it a day... But then again, they're used to that in Scotland :)
Your name will never die, Stuart Adamson
Great performance!Killer rhythm section.
RIP Stuart. You brought happiness to milions and still do.
The most original band of my generation. Their music and lyrics unmatched anywhere else in music history.
i never took the smile from anybodys face
Song still holds up....GREAT tune!
One of the Best live bands that ever play .

U2 are good, these guys are awesome. The best drummer in the world is in Big Country. Best band ever for me, Big Country rock.
R.I.P. Stuart Adamson
Bought a little tear to my eye. They were enjoying the whole thing, the crowd were really smiling the weather was f*cking awful. Utterly out of this universe.
In a Big Country dreams stay with you...........Stuart, you will always be the man, a musical legend never to be forgot!! Fields of fire!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Amazing set. Proper rock n roll. The connection with the crowd is amazing.
Saw Big Country a couple of times, last time was at Knebworth when they were one of Queens support acts, they were a great band love their music still !!!!
Fantastic version of this. They were just fantastic live.
this is easily my favorite version of the song
God this is so good. I wish Stuart was still here.
Long haired Stuart - what a mega musician- every song created by these geniuses is a masterpiece
Pure class, how could you not love this ?
Freaking wonderful I’m glad I came across this live version....!!!
seen them in Glasgow for a fiver back on 1985. brilliant group 👍
It’s fuckin raining and they’re still playing like nothing. God I fucking love this band!!!!
💯 facts most bands will cancel concert thinking they will melt (makeup) from the rain or their equipment will be ruined
OMG.. LOVE HIM!!! 😘
one of the best bands i have ever seen!! The storm tour was brilliant.
Probably the best band..........ever
Pretty much
Rain or shine. The show goes on. Excellent
best live band i've ever seen 2 date
I saw them this same year, and it was one of the ten best (out of hundreds) of live shows I remember. Stuart had such energy and enthusiasm; I recall him lifting a woman in the front up on stage with her disposable camera, and he took pictures of her with the band and himself. I wonder about those photos, now.
followed Stuart and the Skids.....this was a great group.....yep He is missed a great musician.....but we always got the music
13 people have no clue about what they just watched
+Ken Bartlett Hahaha!! You GOT it Ken!
32 now
I only found out about Stuart's passing last night and I was very sad. But I am happy to see him here.
Fabulous…amazing band! Tight as F!
Great memories listening to Big Country!!!
I never grow tired of this one. Qaulity sound, vibe, graphics. Thanks for sharing. Talented guy i wish he was still around . Not expecting to grow flowers in the desert. Why did he take his own life?
+musicsunhappy It is painful to think about it isnt it, when you listen to the lyrics. The song to me is about spitting in the face of adversity and defiantly dragging yourself back when everything seems against you,. Then we go and lose the man who wrote such wonderful words of life affirming encouragement in that way. Much as I still love the music, it is tinged with sadness now. Especially watching a performance like this where he seems so happy and enjoying himself. Like you I always wonder Why? The human mind and emotions are mysteries, even though we think we understand them.
Bring back my memoris of 80'....
seen them at glasgow green years ago got to shake stuarts hand AMAZING BAND .
This is my own personal anthem its been since I remember back in the early 80's.
Gaun the Stuarty boy!

Hope ye've found peace brither.
I agree. Look at Mark, Tony and Bruce. Wow. Stuart is as passionate as ever. I heard this song when I was 13 and the rest is history. Miss you all together. Stuart - you and BC made a positive difference in my life. So glad you are part of me. Rare. Only other band I could say the same of? The Beatles.
