Great video, love this overnight theta fairy strategy. I will be experimenting with this strategy with /MES for my tiny account, let's see what the theta fairy brings me!
I think MES is too tiny to overcome the fees paid on the trade but let me know how it paper trades.
How u deal with overnight risk? Market can drop 1%. And why not do $spx?
Isn’t a strangle unlimited risk? Most broker allow that over night?

Can I use this tracker for 0dte spx credit spreads ?
Do you still trade this? Can you share details on how your performance has been so far? How many total trades? how many winners/losers and the size of them?
I’m not trading this when the VIX is under 17. I was profitable in the first half of 2023 and make money overall. Luckily the writing was on the wall that it could have had significant losers in the low IV environment and i stopped trading it . I have heard that people that continued to trade it lost large sums or money in late 2023.
The tricky part is setting up the options without slippage
Slippage definitely hurts the stop losses on these trades.
Does this trade work with spx or only es?
This trade can also be done on SPX but right now the volatility is so low that the risk reward ratio is less than ideal. I haven’t been playing this trade for the past couple of weeks.

This trade works great in low IV environments. I haven’t played it very often the last couple of weeks.
So I'm a bit confused... You said you open it 30 mins after close and then close it when futures open up... but they are only closed for an hour at 5-6PM EST. Surely you're not opening this at 4:30 EST and getting $100 in theta decay by 6:05PM EST? Unless I'm mistaken? I suppose it does have a theta of 428 were I to put one on for today.
These are held for about 18 hours. Open after the regular market hours close. Then close (hopefully overnight) but if not, before regular hours market open. These are dangerous plays and can result in large losses. I’m not playing this in low IV.

@@suncasa2224 You clearly have never traded this strategy or you wouldn't sound so ignorant. The whole point is to be willing to take assignment so why would you put a stop loss? What are you protecting yourself from? Emotional distress, try a new line of work!
