"Dragonshore" is an original song we wrote based on the dwarves from fantasy literature. We hope you enjoy it:)
The lyrics of this piece are both original and taken and adapted from the Havamal from the Poetic Edda of Norse mythology.
We hope you enjoy this piece!
We wrote the lyrics, composed, and arranged the piece. My family sang it.

Lyrics:
Dragonshore
We sail upon the sea,
To fulfill our destiny,
We sail to pay the score,
We sail to the Dragonshore.
Dwarves out on the sea,
Go to scourge your enemy,
We will purge the world and more,
Conquering the Dragonshore.
Come ye Dwarves of Hammerdeep,
Our home was burned by dragonfire,
For seven days these seven beasts,
We fought with Dwarven ire.
We fought and made them flee,
We sail to pay the score,
Dwarves detest the sea,
We hate these dragons more!
We sail upon the sea,
To fulfill our destiny,
We sail to pay the score,
We sail to the Dragonshore.
Dwarves out on the sea,
Go to scourge your enemy,
We will purge the world and more,
Conquering the Dragonshore.
Seven deadly dragons stand,
Between our past and future peace,
They drove us from our Sacred land,
We drove them to the seas,
The island where they spawn,
Men say it has no wharf,
There they think they’re safe,
But nothing stops a Dwarf.
A burning fire, (Lust)
A breaking bow, (Sloth)
A howling wolf, (Gluttony)
A cawing crow, (Envy)
A flying spear, (Anger)
A crashing wave, (Avarice)
A broken sword, (Pride)
A dying snake! (The Devil)
The cattle die,
Family die,
You will die,
I know one thing,
That never dies,
The reputation,
Of the hero,
Who has died.
We came at day
Our foes to slay
Asleep they lay
With cunning and
With biting blade
We purged our lives from
Seven sinful beasts that day
We sail upon the sea,
To fulfill our destiny,
We sail to pay the score,
We sail to the Dragonshore.
Dwarves out on the sea,
Go to scourge your enemy,
We will purge the world and more,
Conquering the Dragonshore.
Smitten dragon corpses lay,
In salty surf and stony cracks,
Now dragon scales we will take,
An armor for our backs.
Our spoils of war will gain,
A treasure for our hoard.
With honor to our name,
And peace as our reward.
We sail home on the sea,
We fulfilled our destiny,
We sailed to pay the score,
We sail now from the Dragonshore.
Dwarves out on the sea,
Went to scourge your enemy,
We have purged the world and more,
Conquering the Dragonshore. - Hudba

i never thought something could be hilariously badass but here i stand corrected
In my most recent D&D session our paladin dwarf decided to buy these two other dwarves in a tavern a tankard of Honey (what the residents of the continent they were on call beer) each, and started a lengthly conversation about dwarven history that ended with all of them deciding to sing a song together. I had them roll performance and collectively they scored 52 between them, so I put this song on and describe as they burst into a brilliant performance that drowns out everyone's conversation for five whole minutes. By the time they get to the second verse they have everyone's attention, and many people are tapping rhythmically on the tables in time with their music. When the third chorus rolled around, our warlock's imp started dancing on the table. It happened to roll a natural 20, and subsequently convinced the dwarves to dance on the table too. Over the course of this one performance, the four of them rolled close to 90 collective points, and were singing together like they'd been friends for centuries. By the time they got to the last chorus, everyone in the tavern was belting out the song with them, and they finished the song to thunderous applause. Great way to end the night/session if you ask me.

And then come the second part, the enumeration, and I feel sadness, tears of wrath and regret about all the beasts have taken from them. There is rain in their voices
And finally the final part. The resolution. The beasts will pay. Nothing on earth or above can stop them now. There is steel in their voice, forged from raging fire and mourning water.

They are interesting nemesi: Both Dwarves and Dragons are known for their greed, as well as being intelligent races. Both often lair underground inside mountains. Both are tenacious and the body of Dragons and the halls of a Dwarven city inspire awe in their seeming defying of physics.
However Dwarves are small and communal, like most humanoid races, while Dragons are huge and usually solitary. Dwarves get their treasure by mining and creating. Dragons get it from plunder and destruction. Naturally Dragons would prey upon the riches of the Dwarves, since their cities form good lairs and the Dwarven treasuries would be a good hoard. And like Humans, when something tries to kill them, Dwarves don't run, they fight back.

When a song give Dwarves more personality than 3 Hobbit movies
Nah mate, the movies were cool but unless you are seeing the extended version then you are viewing an incomplete tale
Thw movies gave them even more personality than the books. I don't love the movies but that is one thing that it got right.
The problem with the movies isn’t as such their personalities but the way it was it was displayed through the dwarves relationships. I’ve loved the movies ever since I watched the first LOTR movie when I was 6\7 but the Hobbit just didn’t reach the league that the first trilogy did. The Hobbit book was a children’s story and the dwarves as a whole was always described as (for example),” They all shouted in agreement.” The dwarves were never really depicted as single characters (besides from Thorin and certain parts when it was referring one to two dwarves). Only at the end did we really get much of a backstory to any of the dwarves BESIDES Thorin and that was Fili and Kili’s death (when it was revealed that they where Thorin’s nephews and heirs). It was also briefly mentioned that certain characters where brothers in the book.
This is the most effort I’ve ever put into a comment/reply, if anyone reads it, thank you.
To me I think it's true but seeing the comments I give the other people truth as well

If I should ever be in the Position to create a movie, I'd definetly want you guys to help with the music.
This is an amazing song! It seems to be centered around vice and virtue. In the description, when it lists the wolf, spear, sword, wave, and some other stuff it has the vices by each one and then also the seven deadly dragons line like the other name for the vices, the deadly sins, just a thought. Keep up the incredible work!!!
From the description of the lyrics found above:
A burning fire, (Lust)
A breaking bow, (Sloth)
A howling wolf, (Gluttony)
A cawing crow, (Envy)
A flying spear, (Anger)
A crashing wave, (Avarice)
A broken sword, (Pride)
A dying snake! (The Devil)
How I see them:
A burning fire, (Lust)
A breaking bow, (Sloth)
A howling wolf, (Gluttony)
A cawing crow, (Envy)
A flying spear, (Wrath)
A crashing wave, (Pride)
A broken sword, (Greed)
A dying snake! (The Devil)
Imagine a bunch of goblins fidgeting with their inventions, just for a Dwarven Clanmaster to walk in with a sack of gold, uttering just one word "DREADNAUGHTS" 😅😅😅
one of my favorites
Dragons have always made sport of dwarves.

NOTHING STOP A DWARF! Apart from a breath of fire, a famous kind of giant winged lizards, a pool of lava, a fall of 50 m, a thallassotherapy stay in an acid bath, a...okay i stop here. Great music here, as always ^^

"But nothing stops a Dwarf," - Clamavi De Profundis
There they think they're safe...
BUT NOTHING STOPS A DWARF!!
Never was a truer line spoken.
Once it will be old... and someone like me, or you will listen to it... And his friends will say: ey, bro! You listen to really-really old music!
Well... All my honour to that little guy!
Another Clamavi de Profundis original? Couldn’t click fast enough
This song gave me some ideas for the book series I'm writing.
Yes! I must read!
Dear Gentleman @Camavi De Profundis,
Your Drawven songs each time give me goosebumps and make my day, thank you for such excellent music gentleman, your songs give more soul to the dwarfs than all books and movies that ever origin on Mr. Tolkien....
"Thank you oh Holy Smith, i praise you with all my wealth
For that you made me be an Dwarf and not and foolish elf"
Can I say how much I love you incorporating the "but one thing I know that never dies..." bit of the Hávamál? Thanks!
Great song as always btw!
Amazing song. Makes me want to run a Dwarf only DnD Campaign
I was thinking precisely the same thing.
Would either of you happen to still be looking for someone to join the company?
Make it a pirate campaign.
Never underestimate a dwarf compelled by a Grudge.
