Christmas were a short-lived band from Oshawa, Canada. Lead singer, multiinstrumentalist and composer, Bob Bryden, put Christmas together on December 25, 1969. It was a rare specimen of unique Canadian progressive Hard Rock until the Rush era. The album Heritage was recorded by Terry Brown, the future producer of Rush, and released in the end of 1970. It demonstrates powerful and hypnotic guitars riffs from the golden era of Rhythm and blues, solid and raw sound with a tendency to musical evolution. Although all the members were very young (youngest Tyler Raizenne and Rich Richter were just 16 years old), their music was quite strong and original.
