1K SUBS Special: Transformation of my BMW E63 650i over the years

To celebrate 1K subs i made this short slideshow of how i transformed my 650i in around 6 years of ownership. First it was my only car, so it was a daily driver, but by the late 2016 i got a new one, and this stayed in the garage, so it turned into a project car quickly, and then i sold it in stock form in 2020.
Once again, in this one very little video, mostly photography.

Such a timeless car
it truly is
It is man, I saw one a week ago. It was a M6 E63 that looked a lot like this car in the video of course, I mean 2006 17 year old car. This one I saw had some spoiler kits and styling installed just like the car in the video but man, It did not look 17 years old, It looked like It could have been a new model within the last 5 years.
What a timeless chassis, look at the , lets say, 2013 year model, It looks nothing like this one, much more angular not as nice at all. I promise you the newer models will not look as good as this one in when they are 17 years old.
Same with the Audi A7 around the same time ~2006 that I saw yesterday, such a timeless chassis that still looks like a brand new car today especially with some light modifications. Looks much better than the new more angular ones.
Corvette is another example, the C6 around the same timeframe ~2006 looks amazing still to this day.
When I get a new job I am thinking of buying the BMW 650 they are really cheap right now. And style it somewhat like in this video, I may even buy the M6 to get the V10 even though It is a bit more expensive but damn, these cars are so amazing for the money.
This is the car that made me fall in love w bmw

Amazing build! I had a 09 550i m sport package for 7 years but sadly sold it when my daughter was born. Now I'm keeping looking for a 650i to have as a weekend cruiser.
thanks! :-) good luck with that, i would recommend the newest and most low mileage one you can get, so you dont have too many trouble :-D only model of E6x series i would go for is M5/M6

I actually got the same question about the rear spoiler not long ago, i went looking for it, but unfortunately the ad (and the seller) was removed from ebay :-( and i also couldnt find anything even close to that style.. all of them are "high kick" spoilers, didnt see any of these ducktail style for E63 :-/ it came straight from poland though, maybe it could be found there, but i am afraid it might be discontinued

Nice! What were the last set of wheels you had on it and what size? Also how did it ride with the bags?
thank you! last set was the rial daytona race 20" wheels, after i changed the lips for bigger ones the sizes were 20x10.5" and 20x11", forgot the ETs :-D
ride was quite okay for that kind of setup, but i didnt manage to set up the damper stiffness, so i guess it would drive even better
@@TheFuxxoWorksGarage I like the stepped lip. Never heard of them but they remind me of Racing Hart c2 20s. I'm getting a 2015 style 6 series convertible and going for this same look. Undecided on whether I'll bag or just lower it on springs 🤷🏾♂️. We'll see
PLEASE bag it! :-D it looks soo much better.. and its much more usable too
also, 2015 is F generation, so i would say the wheel offsets will be different to the E63 anyway.. you have to do some math :-D

you should for sure check out some local D2 Racing dealers, there will be plenty in Cali ;-) also, they might have a cheaper option too, this was like 6 years ago or so

i bought that spoiler on ebay, it was from poland, but it no longer is listed anywhere :-O so I dont know where you could get one :-/

thank you! exhaust was basically only modified stock exhaust, the middle part with xpipe was custom made.
What exhaust set up you got
the center resonators were removed and replaced with X-pipe, and then before the back mufflers i had bypass valves installed, so when closed it sounded a bit better than stock, and when open it was a menace :-)

just plant your left foot on the brake as strongly as you can, and then play with gas :-D should also turn traction control off, because that will not allow slippage :-D

what exhaust do you have fitted at the 4:15 mark? its sooo nice
thank you :-) those were only exhaust tips, welded on the OEM rear backbox, i dont even remember where i got them tho
It looked awesome with the big kinda BBS black rims and Federal wheels,nice and clean. After the front and back customized bumpers it looks ugly,but you have to like it,not us.

with the black 20" and federal tires it was basically stock :-D so no transformation there really. but i agree, everybody has different taste.
I wanted something different for the car, not the usual M6 bumpers, that everybody has, and this was the only other set i could get, that looked aggressive enough.
Just bought one bone stock, 130k miles for 6k. Needs some work but I’m excited

Preco nárazníky neboli v laku?
boli, ale v matnom.. plus som mal na tom matny cierny polep batmanovsky.. plan bol taky ze na dalsie sezony sa daju do laku, ale uz som sa k tomu nedostal, a auto islo prec (v serii)

diki :-) bolo pekne, ale omrzelo ma to uz, mal som ho okolo 6-7 rokov tusim.. a narazniky su teraz na kamosovej 650ke, v laku uz, aj s mriezkami a senzormi, komplet :-) kukni thekillko na instagrame

Am Anfang dachte ich noch „schöner BMW“ . Jetzt ist er auch zu einer x beliebigen Bastelkiste verkommen. Schade. Ein Klassiker darf nur bis zu einer gewissen Grenze verändert werden, bis er letztendlich zu einer Bastelkiste wird. Wie leider in diesem Fall.
