@@JK-iw6yn Here are the answers taken from press conference transcript: SV: Can you repeat the question?! Yeah, I remember the question. I think it depends all on how the monkey grows up these days. I think it’s a different generation of monkeys that Niki was talking about probably compared to monkeys we have today. Obviously there’s a lot of buttons on the steering wheel, probably too many but I think for us, we grow up like that, it’s a different generation. I think if you put a modern phone in Niki’s hands, I’m not sure he would know what to do - sorry Niki. I think it’s what you get used to. For sure, when I started, for example, in Formula One, there were a lot of procedures I had to learn, a lot of buttons I needed to know how to control etc. But it’s part of cars nowadays. If you jump into a normal road car, there’s also plenty of buttons but in the end the most important bit is the steering wheel, turning the car left and right and the accelerator at the bottom. I think the basics haven’t changed and that’s the important thing, that the sport remains as it has been many many years ago despite how many buttons you have on the steering wheel. NR: I’ll make this a bit shorter. I think we need to just make sure that the sport stays simple for the fans, that’s the most important thing. The direction, it’s all great, technology fantastic, hybrid power, buttons, everything, that’s all great but we need to make sure that for the fans it stays simple enough. That’s something for the medium term future, that we need to keep an eye on. That’s it.
@@TheLibermania He wanted him to rank his 5 worst races from best to worst. He just rambles a bunch of stuff into his questions that confuses everyone.
You can tell this man sits at home and thinks of unique and poignant questions to try and make himself stand out from the standard reporting staff. To which he does, it’s obvious his limitation is his understanding and delivery of English, not of his intelligence or insight. While it’s funny to see the drivers reactions, it is sad that this man gets laughed at for trying so hard to be better than average and different.
His questions, while good, are convoluted and badly written. Every single question presented could be asked in a better more straightforward way that would make sure it's actually understood. A good reporter gets good answers. His questions rarely produce good answers because his time is up by the time the driver even understands the assignment. Therefore he's not a great reporter at all.
Not really. Asking Charles to rank top 5 best races and top 5 worst races on the spot. Like who's gonna have those ready on standby without having to go back through every race they've had

I´m booking his flights to the event, so he is my customer. Mr. Koster is a smart, gentle and polite guy, who works as a journalist for a very long time. Guys like him will be missed.
@@leschulse5248 I'm new to the sport, can you tell me please on what event Koster asked Sebstian because I'm really looking for Sebstian's answer, I felt that was also my question.
I wondered the same at the time. Instead of two still-F2 drivers, more fitting choices as the other two would've been someone from the Ricciardo-Sainz-Gasly-Stroll-Ericsson-Hartley-Sirotkin-Vandoorne group, especially the last four who were about to start their (for the time being at that point) final F1 races with the first four about to change teams for the following season.
"Gentlemen, a short view back to the past..." is probably the greatest way to start a question. Walter is a legend
Does anyone know where I can find the complete clip of that interview? I never got to know what was answered🙈

He's like a diesel engine, takes a bit to warm up but once he's going it'll go forever
LMAOOO
:D :D :D
😂
Reminder for Lewis: only three years left now for his book
There's a non-zero chance he retires in 3 years so might be perfectly timed.
Tbh his questions are actually very good.
i agree
Well the Charles one "Rank your 5 worst races" is weird.

yeah they are good questions it just so happens that he asks all of his questions at once lmao i like the guy he will forever be a legend
Not Seb instantly smiling when he starts his questions.
0:03 look at Seb. He's already smiling knowing who's asking the question
Seb nudging Nico under the table and smiling as soon as Walter starts his question always gets me, this dude sat at the back of the classroom no doubt
Sat at the back yet comes first kind of guy :D
when walter starts speaking, you can't stop him
You put the quarter in the jukebox, you gotta let the whole song play
Walter Koster is amazing reporter people think he is a meme but his questions are really good and his work amazing

This is what listening exams in school are like
I love that Nico looks around excited as soon as he hears that voice at the beginning
5:37 DO YOU THINK… 😂😂😂
He shouldve just cut it there🤣
3:57 Lewis: Choose your next words carefully
2 things I am looking forward to in the future:
1. Lewis Hamiltons book
2. Aurelio to finish fixing John Wick’s car
The way Nico recognized him immediately
Walter Koster is not a national treasure, he's a goddamn UNESCO World Heritage icon
In 4 years now he will ask lewis again
If he ever attends a GP again.
He retired a few years ago but if anything can bring him back it’s Lewis’ book.
6:54 The laugh of Nando while Walter didn’t finished 😂😭
I mean, the questions are interesting but his wording is what makes it hilarious
Best races among worst races. That's a simple question charles
Charles is not a native speaker so it would be very hard for him to understand someone as bad at English as Walter Koster is
Walter Koster is a legend in his own right
I know the Dude Walter. Gentle, polite guy. One of the older ones.
Imagine if he asked Lando a question
He retired
😭😭😭😭😭
Lando would be dying and smiling

nothing just an incident
GENTLEMEN....
Lewis' face shift when he said monkey tho
Seb: Ah, I remember you
Charles: ??
K-mag has been regenerated since this press conference lol

i love this guy
Though i'm so new to the sport and just found about him today, I already loving this man, much respect
lewis has to dedicate his book in honor of Mr Walter koster, sadly he made him wait for so long

2 years to go!

The facial expressions get me EVERY time omfg
poor charles
how is he doing now? I haven´t heard from him in a while...
what did you loose charles? the question or your car? or maybe even your watch?
I thought I pressed the translator play button.
TLDR
Well 8yrs later he will be in ferrari who would have thunk? 😂😂😂
His talking looks like englo Chinese with some running and scare
Some drives really have no short-term memory to remember a couple of sentences. I think it's rude to laugh about him.
A couple of sentences? Some of the questions were 1 minute + long!
