I’m 6 months clean from a 6 year heroin addiction and 2.5 years of alcoholism. After recently learning more about Post, I feel I can relate to him so much. I love his music, of course. But now I love him even more. I am early in my recovery, but I’m doing the right thing now. I got my job back, I’m meditating every day, and I’m finding my joy for painting again. My dog is my best friend. A good friend who’s had his own experiences with addiction is coming to my state to work with me at the cafe. I’m finding hope and purpose in life for the first time.

I’m so glad this topic came up. I’m 35 and I know that I don’t look as healthy as I should. I’m skinnier than I need to be. My dental health is terrible. My eyes have dark circles. I’m so self conscious about my looks now. But I also take care of my special needs son 24/7 as sole caregiver and just don’t have the energy after the stress and nonstop attention I give. I’m doing it all on my own and it just feels like a cycle I’m trapped in until I’ve gotten him settled. And the thing is I love being with my son. I just wish I had a little help to take a night out some time for an hour or two to reset.
I say all that because I can see people look at me like I’m on drugs because of how frail I look compared to 3 or 4 years ago. People don’t realize the effects true never ending worry and stress can have.

I did worry about Posty, when I saw him suddenly thin. I’m older, so I only see him places every once in a while. I’m so glad he is healthy, happy and doing well. He seems like he would be really fun to be around. He is very wise. ❤
Let me say something about homie. I was in a fraternity in Lubbock back in 2013 and we hired this guy. My elders told me not to talk to him much but he saw me jamming at the pregame and he jammed with me. We played say it ain’t so together and that’s when I knew he was a star. This dude is so damn kind and has not changed a bit. Much love post! Also remember he dated the my gfs coworker at a yogurt shop. She left him because she thought he was a loser. Super mean girl. When you go from the darkest depression of your life and come out stronger than ever people will always assume there is something wrong with you. My story is similar to post Malones and during my healing journey people thought I was on crack because of the energy I had as a coping mechanism for all the things I was dealing with

I pray extensively for so many peoples sobriety bc I have been on the other side of it as a someone who loved a person so much but ended up losing that one person that inspired me in such a positive way to an addiction. Its incredibly hard for the familys and we suffer just as much if not more and dont dare try to argue this bc im telling you know i have been down this hard cold road with two people i loved immensely! When your loved ones addiction takes you to a place where you find yourself doing everything you can round the cllock to make it as impossible as humanly possible for your beloved not to get that drug. Like it will consume your entire life and you will fight to the end of the moon to keep your loved one safe and sober. It takes a toll. I have never preferably cared so much for a celebritys sobriety before until post, like this man i will always pray for God lifting him up and keeping him on the up and up bc this is a genuinely amazing artist but such an incredible human being!

A few years ago I was drinking every day and depressed and not working out, just drinking and eating bad and sleeping a lot. Well after seeing myself in the mirror after about the tenth time and hating how I looked I decided I needed to make a change. I got up and started going to the gym, running every day, boxing and changed my diet completely. I ended up be coming addicted to running and working out since I'm an addict when it comes to anything and I lost over a hundred pounds in about 8 months. The very first thing people started to say right as soon as new pictures were put up of me on my socials was "welp obviously drugs" "looks like the drugs worked". It honestly made me incredibly pissed off. I was running sometimes 3 times a day and cycling and I had really really put out my most hardest energy to successfully lose the weight and all people said was I was on drugs. Wellll because I knew that would be the case, I used a mile tracker every day to track my running and cycling and also recorded videos of me boxing and back in the gym. So I instantly put them up to shut people up. But I a hundred percent know how it feels to really make a huge change and have people shit on it. We all need to be a bit more compassionate with each other and stop making assumptions.
Posty gives us so much inspirational music, and seems to be a genuinely good person, so I am especially glad he is in a good place and happy. This world is a better place with him in it.

As a person that in the last couple years has gone from being in a depression that I wasn't aware of at the time, to getting dumped from a 6 year relationship, and now finally finding happiness in a lot of what life has to offer, I can tell you that happiness is one hell of a drug. So much so that at one point the pessimistic part of me thought I was going crazy for a time during that recovery process (which is still a daily challenge by the way).
I don't listen to Post Malone's music often because it's just not the stuff I usually listen to, but every interview or CZcams video I see with him I genuinely feel like he is a great person.

I used to suffer immense depression and when I changed my life and mindset around, I was starting to feel really good and happy, people assumed I was on some drugs or medications... It's none of their business and I was completely sober. I still fight feeling down every day but I am feeling way happier than I have.

I had friends send me the video of him that went viral where he was performing and his dance movements were, we will say, awkward. All of my friends were upset saying he was fucked up on meth and going downhill fast but I knew that this was not the case from the beginning. He is a MUSICIAN/MUSIC ARTIST! music is extremely emotional and I would say he was just showing his emotions to the music he wrote

I quit smoking weed after a few years of smoking and I lost a good bit of weight, obviously my appetite wasn't as strong. My whole family thought I was on hardcore drugs. Never done anything other than alcohol and weed in my life, never ever seen meth or anything. Kinda hurts you when people assume the worst when you are just trying to better yourself and your health.
Glad you are doing better. Many people find it hard to quit habits like weed, so you displayed tremendous discipline and will to get to where you are!

@Jiggy609 I guess it's different for everyone, but for most it makes you very hungry, and you eat more than you would if not smoking. It gives the majority of people the munchies. In my case I was eating way more than normal and at the worst times at night because I mainly smoked at night. But I'm sure it's different for everyone. But it's always made me gain weight, and the times I have quit I've lost a good majority.
