I edited this show and it is great to get a chance to watch it 30 years later again. Ironically I worked with Joey Lawrence (now 39) last Christmas on "Melissa & Joey" and we both remembered the fun of doing this show.

I was eight years old in 1985, man I got a little nostalgic, watching Mr. Williams and these kids brings back some memories.

It must’ve been a great experience for the kids from the Cosby Show, Punky Brewster, the Lawrence brothers from Gimme a Break, and Alfonso Ribeiro back when he did Silver Spoons, to do this special together with the legendary Andy Williams!
1985 was about the only year or era when NBC was the cream of the crop in terms of networks.
Oh man , this brings me back ! They don't make Christmas specials like this anymore , this is truly a classic ! What's Christmas without Andy Williams ! He is truly missed today !
"How do you go about tying a bow around love?" - and this marvellous clip achieves exactly that... I can't stop watching it! In the space of just nine minutes Andy Williams and co. deliver everything: nostalgia, great music, and love that oozes from the screen; 1985 is indeed a year that deserves lamenting. I wonder if it was Bill Cosby's inability to sing that led to his otherwise inexplicable absence from the production?
I love the Andy Williams Christmas specials, when I was a kid, this one was one of my favourites

I remember watching this so vividly! We must have taped it (on our Betamax!). It's so nice to see something that brings back such good memories.

Will we ever see these kind of Christmas Specials again? I had my son late...I was already close to 40.....the school had already did away with Christmas Plays. Our Country CHANGED!!!!! And Not for the Good!

The blonde girl who played Margeaux on punky brewster...seems she got alot of the dance parts here. She was the world tap dance champion a few years prior to her punky gig.
RUDY!!!!!! I just love how well Phylicia Rashad and Henry (Punky Brewster) sing. Nobody sings like Andy Williams, though. Voice like WONDERFUL!!!
This is a great video. Great seeing stars of the 80's when I was a kid. I always like Andy Williams during the Christmas time. Whenever I here Andy Williams I always remember the Holiday Seasons of the past.

I LOVE how they needed permission slips Haha! Reminds me of being a kid in the 80s in this exact age market at the time...I always adored (and still do) the Andy Williams Christmas Specials but this is pretty hilariously bizarre. I guarantee I watched this but me and my big bro bagged on it none the less. Love it!!! Total 80s NBC cheese.
