A little handy pattern of the famous Yellow Owl but tied in a cruncher styled nymph. A good fly to have in the box
Hook - Fario wetfly 10/12
Thread/Body - Light Cahill UNI 8/0
Tail - Greenwells hen
Rib - Black
Thorax - Black Squirrel
Hackle - Greenwells hen

Nice cruncher, I used to do well on the yellow owl spider at Carron valley when it was only brown trout in there
