*IMPORTANT FACT MISSING FROM THIS VIDEO* - So I didn't realize this until someone in the comments brought it to my attention but Urbain won't actually offer the Recovery miracle unless you've killed a primeval demon. Primeval demons only spawn when the world is really close to pure black world tendency and each world has one that spawns in a specific location. The easiest one to kill is near the start of World 2-1 at the bottom of the first lift you activate in the level (Not Ed's). The reason I overlooked this is because on my file I killed one but I didn't realize it was necessary in order for Urbain to offer the miracle, especially when you can get 3 colorless demon soul's without ever having to kill a primeval demon so that to me is pretty stupid in and of itself but I digress, it's still my @#$% up and I apologize for not including it in the video. Let it be known guide makers aren't perfect.
Also funny enough after making this guide I realize something I could've done better. Around the time where I begin to advise you guys on killing yourself in stonefang to begin lowering the world tendency It would've been more optimal to just go and find scirvir in World 2-2 and kill him (he would be there since the world would be pure white after dragon god) and then that would reset the world tendency back to neutral thus saving you some extra ephemeral eyes. No guide maker is perfect I guess.
I got firestorm as well and the problem is when I buy all the miracles first like you said, I will be missing the dragon demon soul and won’t be able to buy all of them. How did you work it out?
@@natedogg999 right so if you do the same thing as me and get fire storm then you'd just go through a playthrough on NG+, once you beat dragon god get all miracles, and then once you have the all miracles trophy then use w/e to get spells in w/e order you like

Ring of Longevity is also included in digital deluxe edition, which means that you dont have to grind for pure Bladestone if u have it. Found out about this after I grinded for it tho😅
After I platinumed the game, here are some tips (especially for weaker players like me):
Prerequisites: PS Plus for saving online (saves lots of time)
I played mostly offline. I went online only for the priest boss invasion (and reverted the save cause you don't want your character tendency to shift because of that).
1. You can abuse the online save, save before a boss and use Stone of Ephemeral eyes to go into the fight at full HP. If you die, just load the save and your world tendency will be fine.
2. I recommend starting with noble cause there is a good magic scaling weapon + you have a range attack.
3. In Boletaria, when you meet Ostrava, just let him die in a fight, loot the Mausoleum key, cheese the Red Knight guarding the door using the tower on the opposite side of the wall (the one with wooden stairs); then, fight Doran, drag him out and just headbutt him to make him fall (there are online guides for killing Doran early and getting the DemonBrandt - a strong early weapon)
4. Use DemonBrandt for the first 2-3 archstones as it is strong enough
5. In 4-1, grab Crescent Falchion; In 4-2 you find upgrade materials for it.
6. When farming upgrade materials, because lizards don't respawn forever, consider saving before a run where u exhaust all the lizard spans
7. Getting your Falchion +5 will probably be strong enough to win the game, even +4 is really good
8. After finishing 3 bosses in each archstone, before final boss, we need to do the tendency specific stuff:
a. Because you killed Doran, you won't have PWWT in Boletaria; No worries, only PWWT necessary stuff is the rings behind the Blue Dragon; You can get them if you kill the Red Dragon which you can do at the bridge in 1-2.
b. You should have PWWT in all the areas; do the specific events for platinum (only in world 3, 4 and 5 I believe)
c. Farm stone of ephemeral eyes, have like 45 of them
d. Die 8-9 times in body form in each world to bring it pure black
e. Do the PBWT specific stuff
f. Kill the black phantom and eventually the primeval demon (don't warp between the 2 kills)
g. After killing the 5 phantoms, you should have PWCT, get Ally's ring from the Monumental
h. Online save
i. Bring your tendency to PBCT by killing the 5 merchants in each world
j. Do Mephistopheles quest
k. Get the King of Rings achievement
l. Load the save
m. Finish the game and enter NG+ with the ending where u don't kill the maiden (but get the other one through saving before too, for the trophy).
9. In NG+ you should have only the Regalia trophy and the Magic Spells trophy left. Now you need to kill first 3 bosses in each realm, and free Yura the Witch and Sage Freke to learn all magic spells.
10. The NG+ shouldn't be hard because we have PWCT. A mistake I did in my first try was beginning NG+ with PBCT which made everything way harder.
11. As for weapons in NG+ you have the DemonBrandt maxed out cause you are PWCT, and once you get the Northern Regalia you will also have that maxed out.
Hope these tips help someone. I didn't find any good guide about an optimal playthrough, and this is how I would approach things now.

Hi, to get the Thief Ring you don't need to make a leap. Just stand next to the railing an press circle. Your character will jump over the railing ;)

If I can add one thing, you can farm Pure Bladestone from the black skeleton in 4-1 as well. That's how I did it. This saves you the trouble of having to deal with that pesky Reaper.
Fools Idol tip to not hit a clone. Lock onto her, if it shows a health bar it is a clone. When you lock onto the real one it won't show a health bar underneath her. Much easier than paying attention to her brighter soul arrows.

I don't know why, but for some reason I kick King Allant's ass after 2 or 3 attempts. Even on NG+ I've got him the second time. NG+ is really difficult by the way. But NG++ is not that hard anymore. So don't worry about NG++ after NG+.. Everything will be fine :-)

Just FYI for anyone on this video still going for platinum. Dragon God boss (killing with the Hands of God), I did see a video where someone equipped only 1 Hand of God in their right hand, then used magic from a catalyst in their left hand to kill the Dragon God and they still got the trophy. If you want to try that for yourself, it could save you some time and trouble, but backup your save before you try just in case

This is a great Platinum guide,
however...
This is also a beautiful game with loads of adventure and challenge if played mostly blind (without a guide)
My suggestion is that you play the game normally first in any way you like and experience it as it was intended.
On completing your first play through you will know how the game works, where to go, the fight mechanics etc.
now start a New Game and follow a Plat strat like this video. I think this way you get more game and more fun for your money.
Also, a cheap way to save scum if you need a few attempts to get through a boss. Before going through the fog (or into the area you're having trouble with, go into your inventory and change a load out item (like your weapon) come out of your inventory and then go back in and put the item back how it was. the game saves whenever you change an item.
Now if you die in the boss fight, as you get killed but before the "You Died" text appears, quickly hit the PS button and close the game. when you restart and continue, you will be back at the fog where you last changed your inventory.
The PS5 load times make this very quick
You may be able to brag about fire storm, but I got the gold coin and the pure blade stone within 20 minutes of farming…fantastic guide though really thankful to you, My guy

You can do this in one run with save scumming. Just save before buying spells, reload after. You’ll still have the progress for attaining all the spells from before
that's not true. you still have to go to NG+ no matter what cuz you only get the maiden's demon soul after beating the game and then you'd have to play all the way to rescuing yuria again to make the spell from it.
I probably should of viewed this video before the end of my first playthrough on DS, which I'm almost done, got few bosses left. Oh well, looks like I'm go need to play a few more times again.
unfortunately its really easy to fuck up a playthrough in this game, trust me ive been there. hope my vid helps regardless
Getting used to the world tendency was the hardest thing for me to get used to in this game.
The key for me was to always stop and think when you're in body form. You don't always have to kill yourself in the nexus.
If you're done with the pure white version of some worlds by then, you can use your body form to get closer to the black version of those worlds. This lets you save on ephemeral eyes, since they can be annoying if you're doing all black tendency events.
That said, I am annoyed that cloud storage only works for the region with PS Plus lol. I play on UK but my PS Plus is in SG. I might transfer there soon instead since UK's is expensive.
What you said about Pure bladestone is actually incorrect. I actually got it last night from the red eye dual katana skeleton guarding the Adjudicator boss door. Just used the 4-2 archstone, ran up the stairs, killed, repeated for about 45 minutes. Got the stone. MUCH faster run. Just an FYI for anyone seeing this.

If you follow fightin cowboys, everything will be done except all spells/miracles first play thru. All you need in ng+ is a couple boss souls so you can buy all the magic, save scum, buy all the miracles and be done.
Don't even have demon's souls, it's just fun to watch

Definitely one of the most rewarding and toughest platinums I've got alongside the likes of Final Fantasy 7 Remake or RE2 remake.

RDR2 is a pain in the ass, took me like 300+ hours
For me the Pure Bladestone dropped from the Katana Skeleton right before the fog wall to the Adjudicator boss fight.

Maybe it’s important to note that if you want to ring from the child, you have to accept his request in the beginning of the game. Also, killing the npc in world 2-2 to get to neutral world tendency will drop your character tendency so be carefull with that
And if you are mid level grinding for souls, i would recommend the Ritual Path area soul farm. After u killed the ‘master ghost’ go trough the hidden wall in order to try your luck with the katana skeleton. The pure bladestone dropped for me while i was farming souls.

Would you believe in true Demon Souls fashion my Pure Bladestone dropped the second encounter ever with the Red Skeleton without Prov Ring on. 🤭🤷♂️ It took me 36 hours of farming in the original to get that for my Platinum. This fucking game... Thanks for the guide.
Tip: You can also get pure white character tendency if you defeat players who invaded your server. I turned my self into human form and waited at the 1-1 archstone. I found players to be much easier to kill then 4-1 or 5-3. Depending on the server activity this can be much faster then killing all pure black world tendency phantoms.
You can also save scum if your afraid of losing all your eyes of ephemeral during the duels. Good luck.
This is absolutely correct, the only reason i didnt mention it is because i always try to make my guides prioritizing the offline methods first since playerbases usually die out over time

Correct me if I'm wrong, but it seems like you don't need pure white tendency in world one or two. In world one, that door on the left opens up in pure black as well. And I didn't really see that pwwt was neccesary for world 2 either.
FOLLOW ostrava the first time you talk to him to begin the quest. Video just says you need to talk to him. He died shortly after and now i have to remember it for another playthrough

After seeing the whole guide I will probably dont do it. Those last couple of steps seemed to tedious and I missed a couple of things on my first playthrough, so I might have to do 3 playthroughs and who knows if more. I have black character tendency and I got the bad ending on my first playthrough, and I also used a couple of the boss souls

30:21 This tip is worth gold, i tried maybe for half an hour to invade somebody, nothing happend. Then i used the stone in 3.2 and it teleported me in maybe 2 minutes as old monk boss. And then i even get it on my first try, i felt a lil but sry for the other player, but hey, they forced us to do this trophy, maybe i'll have the same trouble in 3.3.

There's a much easier way to kill the red dragon in 1-2. Stand on the bridge leading up to the first tower right by the first charred body. Do a 2h attack right after he roars. You'll hit his tail and you'll be just out of range of his fire attack. Much easier and less frustrating. Great video though. Thank you.

You're not screwed you just need a little extra money. If you keep killing the reaper at the beginning of 4-2 its the best/fastest way to farm souls.

Well someone else summoned me into their world for the trophy, meaning we killed their boss not mine, so i didnt have to back up my save file

Without a shadow of a doubt, Demon's Souls Remake is such an amazing and beautiful remake that takes you on a epic journey like no other. I too like so many others love the souls games because of the challenge it provides 😁. For me Demon's Souls is my favorite of the souls games. But man I cannot tell what would even be my top number 1 game of all time because that is just too hard, because I have too many I love 😆 🤣. you only need bior to help you with penetrator for the trophy, after that bior isnt necessary for anything. after that bior just makes it much easier for you to get past the blue dragon since it's targeting him instead of you. once bior dies it becomes much harder to get past the blue dragon but it's still possible.
Also LOL did you just call allant tim allen? xD that's funny. and yes you can visit doran and kill him prior to allant however you only get soulbrandt after you truly defeat allant in the second fight, meaning you cant get the northern reagalia and have it for the allant boss fight if that's what you were planning
When I speak to Saint Urbain nothing happens. I started with magician class but didn't upgrade my magic or faith at all. Is that the problem?
