Wow! I feel as though my mind is expanding faster than I can assimilate your information. I’m a civilian who has PTSD and anxiety disorder. You described it perfectly. Finally someone who completely, 100% gets it. Ty. My husband tries to help when he’s around and my anxiety completely swamps me. However since he doesn’t suffer from anxiety, his suggestions irritate me. The worst ones are: just stop being anxious, get over it, move on or deal with it. All things that make me want to scream “are you kidding me? Like I hadn’t already thought of those things? Don’t you think if I could I would’ve for the past 50 years?” I don’t scream those thoughts at him bc I know he’s genuinely trying to help me but it’s frustrating. My service dog Ella died October 15, 2018 and since then I’ve been lost. Fortunately that’s one thing my husband CAN relate to. He still cries about losing her from time to time but he doesn’t feel the dread that I do about trying to decide if I can make it through a public trip. I’ve been hiding at home more since she died. Ty for the work you’re doing. The world needs more understanding of the animal-human bond. God bless you. 🙌🏻👏🏻🤗

My three dogs are just the same as my children. I love them and I will be their daddy. I treat them lovingly but I also educate them. I think we are a good family and have a good time.

Thanks so much for this! Your plain-speaking, articulate, clear-minded message comes through so clearly - and many of us can relate to on so many levels. What a breadth of people you have touched!

Im so happy to hear you speak and bring up this issue. Absused pit bulls are a tragedy becauee they are the most loving and caring dogs. They dont deserve to be tortured and then disposed of because of human cruelty and stupidity. Thank you and i wish you all the best.

We got a rescue dog. Had her shipped over from Greece as she was gonna be put down. She was a total nightmare whenever outside the house and had to be kept away from people and other dogs. A lot of gentle care and much effort on our part in learning how to communicate with her and we now have, 3.5 years later, a calm and happy and stable dog - unless you are a delivery man, that is 🙂🇬🇧

Bravo to you and your work, and truly understanding these Wonderful creatures! I’ve rescued abused Pits, others said should be euthanized, never had to use anything but exercise, respect, and patience to bring them back.... The Love that is reciprocated in Beautiful. Thank you for sharing, and I can only hope the lady who had a Ted talk listens and learns from you! Her talk was Horrible for me to listen to 😡
