My parents were from Trinidad and they moved to England where I am now. I was born in England and I grew up with these exact songs all throughout my childhood. This beautiful music conflicting with the early 2000s english music, I’m glad that I can say that I have the best of both worlds. Although I can’t feel the Trini in me, this music awakens that part of me.
