- Ever wonder what's inside the small black transmitter that you plug into your instrument? Ever have one fail on you? Well, I did both. Take a peek inside the transmitter and find out how and why it failed. Better yet, find out how NOT to have yours fail on you!
Another preventive measure could be to use a shortish ¼" extension cable, male/female, leaving it permanently connected. Secure the transmitter to your strap with a pouch of some sort, or keep the unit in a pocket. Then insert the male plug into the guitar's jack. Never unplug the cable from the transmitter. Thanks for the video!
Great tip!
It didnt "Exactly fit" my Ibanez ( sipiliar jack as a strat) also.
i had the exact same problem. Resoldered the wires back onto the jack and has been working fine since. Thank you for sharing this to everyone.
Thanks, I can fix mine with your video
Thanks for your analysis and tips - its much appreciated. I have 2 sets of the 2.4 hz and the 5.8 hz and they seem to crackle a bit or cut out.
How to open black case sir ? Tell me please...
❤ great video
I the same one but different ....and maybe but maybe . the wires are . different kind. some sort of micro insulated. its so tiny i cant even tell if its insulated or what it is. the wire is shinier. i'm going to try to solder different leads on and see if it works. took it apart originally to fix the charging jack but when i took it apart the wires ripped off the plug. plastic insulator seems to be intact. i'm doubtful but steadfast
I have these as well, works great when I am in my home studio plugged into an amp. I was at a gig last night ( full PA, multiple mics, amps and all that going on) and I get a screeching sound that I can’t stop. Had to go to hardwire cable . Anyone have any ideas?
So mine had a problem with the transmitter also. It could charge for a few minutes but the red light indicating that it was charging just turns off. When I try unplug it from charging and turn it on, it just won't turn on at all. Anybody have a similar case here? Been using the exact unit in this video. I'm turn whether to just buy another one or if it just needs repairing that I can do it.
I never used the 2.4 system cause I found that Bluetooth uses this frequency. I use 5.8 rechargeable wireless units or/ and AKG wireless bug systems. What I did was put velco on both bugs and guitars. That way nothing moves and/or breaks. My AKG systems are over 10 yrs old. And no problems.
My transmitter has just given up on me it has died on me right at the end of a set twice now so i think its more of a battery problem but wont know until i take it apart.
Ive had the sytem quite a long time without any problems so seeing how much it cost initially about £30 or so i think ive had my moneys worth.
Just ordered a 5ghz system hopefully it will be just as good.
such a fancy name. more like guitar joy joy in my language
Nice vid,I have a problem with the charge port and you have confirmed as to how to take it apart. I doesnt seem to consistantly charge.. Im gonna have at it..thanks
Glad it helped
I also discovered at the worst possible time that if you turn off the transmitter, and back on, it doesn’t automatically reconnect with the receiver. I had to turn both off and then on…
Thanks for the tip!
You bet!
Did you manage to fix it?
how did you open it?
I just bought this one and after my gig it died, the charging port is not working anymore
Thanks, I suspect this is whats wrong with my system. It works great, when it actually worked
Do you have a video replacing the battery?
