That Ruggs TD in Pittsburgh makes me want to cry. At that point I was thinking "This kid is going to be taking the top off defenses for years to come".
Ruggs was going to be the best pure deep threat in the nfl,it's just a really sad situation that should have been avoided.
I want to see the confidence throwing the ball deep to Adams and Edwards that I used to see when it was Coop and Crab I think this season will be special

Wonder what a Brady or a Rogers or a Mahomes would do with lame defenses year after year, receivers who can't hold onto the ball and a crap as hell O line? Not to mention having to adapt to a new HC every two years. DC just continues to ball out and get the Raiders wins they would NEVER have had without him. He is 100 percent better than he ever gets credit for. Hopefully this new regime gets him the credit he has ALWAYS deserved.

Almost making me emotional watching all this after what they did to Carr this week… last year’s team might have been my favorite Raider team ever. So much heart.

There are people that honestly believe Carr won't succeed with Devante Adams. Some fans have this delusion that Derek Carr is Taylor Heinicke or something. I understand the guy has had his share of struggles over the years. Most of Carrs struggles have happened for reasons that have to do with the overall team's struggles. I'm not excusing his failures, but great players do not usually fail without good cause. There are solid reasons why Aaron Rodgers can't get to the Super Bowl again. There are reasons Russell Wilson struggled in Seattle the last few seasons. Every player has their own unique challenges, situations, successes, and failures each season. I'm just tired of casual football fans putting every talented QB drafted after 2014 with a last name ahead of Derek Carr. Show me a throw Josh Allen, Mahomes, or Justin Herbert(3rd year media certified HOFer) has made that Carr has not in his 8 year career so far? The only way for Carr to get his credit is to prove the haters wrong. He has been the most accurate passer in the game next to Josh Allen, Brady, and Rodgers. I remember when idiots were saying that Carr couldn't throw the deep ball in 2019 despite Carr statistically leading the league in accuracy with passes over 20 yards since 2014. The haters immediately let that narrative die when the 2020 season started. If people remember correctly Crabtree was supposed to be washed and Carr made him a 1000-yard receiver again. Carr made it possible for Cooper to get a sweet payday and pro-bowl recognition. Jared Cook had his best season with Carr as the most consistent receiving option when Cooper, and Crabtree were dropping balls left and right (not saying it was great or anything). Cook got paid by Green Bay after that. When Cook went to Green Bay he became their 3rd or 4th option which tells you how much talent Rodgers always had at his disposal. Nelson Agholor was considered a bust until he got to Vegas where he showcased his talent. He went to the Patriots and had a lackluster season. Not much was expected from Hunter Renfrow coming out of college yet Carr eventually allowed him to grow into a 1000 yard receiver/pro bowler. Ruggs was excelling despite his lack of experience, and skill before his incident. Waller, a guy that no one knew about became one of the best TE's in the league and got paid. None of those guys do half of those things without someone getting them good opportunities to make catches. That is why Carr deserves to be paid elite QB money at the NFL level right now. He's gotten so many guys paid playing for average teams with average coaches and no reliable defense. Acquiring Devante Adams, Demarcus Robinson, Josh Mcdaniels, Patrick Graham, and Chandler Jones will be Carr's reward for paying his dues over the years, even when he was faced with consistent chaos. When Carr wins a championship no one will say he did it the easy way.
Absolutely love someone who gets it that Carr is beyond amazing as a QB. So tired of offensively play calling that has had him stuck having to do check downs and not being able to air the ball out. They will have to do better to make Adams' money worth it. He makes every receiver look like a stud. The amount of dropped passes last year alone was dumbfounding. I am a bit worried that there have been no additions or adjustments to the O line so far as I don't see McD being able to get Carr better on his "scheme" if he can't get Carr better protection. This is just football 101. I believe it's why his TD/Int is still not improved. Defense needs to be able to get take-aways and do better getting teams off the field on third down consistently to give Carr more chances with the football. I assume the red zone scoring should be better but my thinking is that if you let Carr just throw to the the end zone he can get you the TD long before the Raiders are within 20 yards of it.

@@RaiderJosh Yea. I have been spending the morning looking into all that. I was surprised LV ranked 11th in overall offense. It's looking like McD may be the right guy as the red zone is our HUGE weakness. I mean, I knew it was bad, I didn't know it was THAT bad. LOL!

His only weakness is holding the ball too long and getting the ball stripped. Nobody's perfect.

Carr gets so much hate and I never understood why!!! Carr has been more then consistent then any other QB in the nfl… every year it seems like he’s playing under a new offense which he basically has for 8 years…. He never had a true #1 receiver and had always had a piss poor defense and still averaged 4,000 passing yards with a better TD/INT ratio…. Now carr has all the weapons, #1 receiver in adams, best tight end in Waller, best slot receiver in renfrow.. not to mention Robinson from KC Bryan edwards, foster mareau and drake and jacobs in the backfield… all the haters out there who hate on Carr truly don’t know football or just hate him cuz he’s on the raiders…. THATS MY QB and I will take him any day of the week…. Raiders will shock the world this year and all the haters out there will start putting respect on Derek carrs name….. SILVER AND BLACK LETS GOOOOOOOOOOO!!!!!!!!

May you have a great career after being part of my Raiders D.C. I strongly believe we'll be a watered-down football team with Josh McDonald's ruining the show. I honestly hope that I'm wrong because I am part of this Raider Nation first and foremost. But I don't trust that McDonald's process. Seeing D.C. adjust to every coach he's played for, shows intelligence. We'll probably win fewer than 6 games in 2023.

Frustrating editing. Half the time it cut to a new play it seemed like the ball was already in the air, didn’t bother to put in alternate replay angles that I know were shown on TV that give perspective on how impressive some throws were, and many were wide open targets. How do you not have anything to Waller? That amazing raindrop to Drake down the sideline last year?…
