Because this is more complex than static environments where the map doesn't change, it becomes a primary area to scrutinize when bugs appear. The destructibility is a standout feature so any bugs related to it might draw more attention and criticism, even if bugs are normal for a beta stage. Destructibility is a new way for players to showcase their skills, map and flank knowledge. Destructible environments add a layer of unpredictability to the gameplay, and in my opinion, that is not a bad thing.
was about to comment about that. the destructible environments are a selling point. having put in over 20 hours in the beta, i can confirm that they make fights more serious and varying, so keeping an extra element on your mind during team battles adds to the experience. plus, they vastly improved it from the alpha into the beta. so i have no doubt they will continue to improve destruction.

What I love about this game is that every character is busted, and yet it’s still fun and hilarious to play. No one is taking to the streets, screaming at the devs about balance issues, because the game is just that FUN. Anyway, I need this game to come back yesterday; great video as always.
Wrong. Everyone is not "busted". Being effective doesnt equal busted. People want balance but the game is already pretty well balanced for the most part.

both Magnitos's 30 second ability and Mantis' self revive are team up abilities, like Hela's reviving Thor, so Magnito only get's it if Scarlett Witch is on his team, and Mantis only get's it if Adam Warlock is on her team. Adam Warlock actually always has the self revive, so Mantis is basically borrowing it if lol
one thing you didnt mention, but ultimate charge REMAINs at the end of every round. a whole new and fun way to strategize and make matches unpredictable, yet skill reliant.

I can definitely see how this game would be so refreshing for an Overwatch player. The best part about overwatch in the past was that more or less all the characters felt impactful like Andrew said. If you were good enough or played smart, you could 1v1 as mostly any hero in OW1, and there were less heals to go around so it was easier and more fun to get big plays. That's totally different in OW2, and big/silly plays and combos are so rare. Teamplay is more important now which is good on paper, but it's gotten to the point that individuality is basically gone and you can't play how you want. Can't wait for MR full release
You say Lokis healing and damage is underwhelming, but that's because you don't have your clones out. With 3 clones you're doing 3 times the damage and healing you would be doing alone.
I love how every character (but Jeff) feels super strong and impactful. It reminds me of the early days of Overwatch, where I would show up to a tank with McCree, stun, right click and delete them... then get chained by Roadhog and also die instantly. I miss those days!

As a Jeff main: I highly recommend using your bubbles more often to heal yourself. And focus on using his swim mode to swim away up walls. You’re meant to play passively and just heal pocket, as you have some of the best non ability healing in the game.

I also like the lack of hard counters, I don’t know if I’m the only one, but counter-swapping in overwatch makes the game really unfun, I just want to play a certain character but all it takes is some cheeto muncher to swap to my hard counter and I become irrelevant. It’s been a really nice change of pace.
I’m a fan of a game like this having characters that ALL fell overpowered, they’re superheroes they should all be overpowered I’m glad they understand this. Hopefully there’s some good PvE eventually as well
putting a strange portal off the map and then the other part on the ground somewhere (near cart or a choke) is the natural evolution of the spawn one. also, the little demon is the stronger option between the two. Way more damage, way more shields, way more range. Only time you don't use it is in ult. I'm happy you liked it, looking forward to seeing more of your content on it :) I thought Marvel Rivals was going to be my main multiplayer game when it came out, but then I got access to Deadlock.
i'm usually not much of a support player but i was shocked by how much fun Luna Snow and Mantis were so i ended up playing equal amounts of them to Magik and Venom
I've seen the opposite about Jeff from PunchKid, who would just eat the entire enemy team and jump off the map or spit them out off the map for an instant team kill.
Turn off "Automatic Swing" or "Easy Swing" on both Spider-Man and Venom. Makes you web seing to where youre aiming, and if you aim at the floor, it'll zip you to where you aimed at. Makes it so much better to play Spider-Man

The self rez that mantis does is actually her team up combo with Adam warlock. Star lord can do the same thing. And magnetos metallic fusion ability is also a team up combo with scarlet witch.

For example Hulk instead of that "shield" idk, use a big rock as a shield and then trow it, make a floor tremor or like the move on Marvel Vs Capcom to slow enemies... Idk more like him? I know i have been nitpicking but they are heroes created long time ago and their "images" are really clear this days. On the other hand some are really on point, like Punisher, Iron Man, hell even Loki feels more their characters because they have skills they can/or have in the comics. movies, etc.
i disagree about hulk. in rivals, he uses scientific and gamma related abilities. a gamma shield, a hypersonic clap, a fear stun. it makes him less of an idiotic creature and more of a calculated smart machine. his ultimate is also interesting, as he becomes a more bestial version of himself that's actually angry. but i see where you're coming from.
Looks like a lot of fun but a little chaotic with everything that’s going on, hope the might be a 1v1 mode or a 2v2. Maybe even with more health to make it more interesting?
game has so much potential due to marvel having over 800+ characters both from movies and comics, so many possible skins, so many possibilities but some characters just seem way way better than others
They should add a mastery road for each character just like brawl stars where you can have a title under your actual name and each character has a unique title here are some examples Thor - The Worthy Spidey - Gets Sticky! Groot - Grass toucher Hela - Death Jeff - The danger ( or some goofy shit like that )
I dont know if u know but u can change some settings for spider man that will make u able to aim where to swing which makes him so ez and op and much more fun to play with and the setting can be applied to venom too
Things to note, Mantis isn't normally able to self-revive, and Magneto doesn't normally have the sword ability. Both of those effects are the result of "team-ups" with other characters, Adam Warlock for Mantis and Scarlet Witch for Magneto. Team-ups, in essence, mean that when certain characters are on your team, certain other characters gain passive benefits or new abilities, depending on the specific characters chosen. Another great example which you even brought up in the video is Hela reviving Thor and Loki when she gets a kill

Im so excited for Storm (obviously Wanda more so but) Lucio just never cut it for me he always felt sooo bad to play but speed boost is so fun. Its gonna be so fun just flying around controlling the sky :)
loki has great damage and healing because his clones attack and heal too and he has an ability that makes enemies heal your team it's like immortality field but even more broken
To be fair, it isn’t that hard to be better than Overwatch these days. Anyway, personally I’d rather see Andrew play games he genuinely finds fun, and not force himself to play some games just for the views.
Mantis's self revive is actually from her team-up ability with Adam Warlock. She doesn't have it without an Adam Warlock on the team.

i disagree about hulk. in rivals, he uses scientific and gamma related abilities. a gamma shield, a hypersonic clap, a fear stun. it makes him less of an idiotic creature and more of a calculated smart machine. his ultimate is also interesting, as he becomes a more bestial version of himself that's actually angry. but i see where you're coming from.
Easily the most fun I've had with a hero shooter type game since Overwatch 1 release. The game feels so good and I cannot wait for full release.

game has so much potential due to marvel having over 800+ characters both from movies and comics, so many possible skins, so many possibilities but some characters just seem way way better than others

They should add a mastery road for each character just like brawl stars where you can have a title under your actual name and each character has a unique title here are some examples

Spidey - Gets Sticky!
Groot - Grass toucher

Jeff - The danger ( or some goofy shit like that )

I dont know if u know but u can change some settings for spider man that will make u able to aim where to swing which makes him so ez and op and much more fun to play with and the setting can be applied to venom too

Things to note, Mantis isn't normally able to self-revive, and Magneto doesn't normally have the sword ability. Both of those effects are the result of "team-ups" with other characters, Adam Warlock for Mantis and Scarlet Witch for Magneto. Team-ups, in essence, mean that when certain characters are on your team, certain other characters gain passive benefits or new abilities, depending on the specific characters chosen. Another great example which you even brought up in the video is Hela reviving Thor and Loki when she gets a kill
It all depends on how marvel rivals will handle its monetization

Damn, I missed the beta?! Definitely looks a lot more fun than OW. Might try Scarlet Witch & Storm first when I play this since I liked playing Lucio & Moira.
Im so excited for Storm (obviously Wanda more so but) Lucio just never cut it for me he always felt sooo bad to play but speed boost is so fun. Its gonna be so fun just flying around controlling the sky :)

loki with the clones out can actually throw out an insane amount of healing
Mantis' revive only works with Adam Warlock, Magneto's sword only work with Skarlet Witch on the team
loki has great damage and healing because his clones attack and heal too and he has an ability that makes enemies heal your team it's like immortality field but even more broken
