True boxing fans feels the same way as Leonard Ellerbe. It's not fair for Inoue to outright fight Tank Davis. It's a huge weight difference and for Tank to already beat these top fighters at 140 like Pitbull Cruz and Ryan Garcia...idc what people think but Tank is who he is. In my honest opinion, he's not only the strongest and most powerful but he's the #1 fighter in the lightweight division (130-140 lbs). People who want Inoue to move up and fight Tank just want to see the monster lose because they upset seeing a non-American fighter being more recognized than guys like Crawford. But a potential fight with Inoue and Tank Davis is if Inoue dominates the 126 and 130 weight division, then we can talk about that potential fight way down the road.

Yeah, Inoue simply doesn't have Pacquiao's giant calves, to allow him to slowly build up a robust, stocky body to move from the teens, when he was 18, to the 147, by the time he's fighting much bigger and taller guys, from elites like Floyd to bums like 5'11" Margarito.
Inoue is already pushing himself at 122, and he HAS put on some good muscles.
But 126, if he chooses to add another 5 pounds of solid muscles... likely will be his limits.
Tanks has always been a TANK SINCE his teens, a giant, stocky guy, having worn that big mass, despite his shorter stature, for over 20 years.
Leonard Ellerbe's right: no chance Inoue should move to 130, so Tank could come down to 130. That's just not fair for Inoue. If Inoue was still only 25 years of age, I could see him bulking up to do 130, after 4-5 years of fighting at 122, 126, etc.
But no way, now at 31, for him to just overnight bulk up to 130 and go fight Tank there.
Asking Inoue to go to 130 at the age of 31, is like asking Tank to go do 147 against Crawford, right now.
In fact, it is FAIRER to ask Tank to go up 7 pounds to fight Crawford, right now, than it is to ask Inoue to jump from 122 to 130, in 1-2 fights...

@@philipm5043 You might think this way because it's a 7 division jump from where they started but you also have to factor in the height to weight ratio (BMI).
130lbs at 5 '5 is healthy but 175lbs at 5 '8 is overweight (according to the BMI chart).
Bud needing to bulk up (since his walk around weight is 170lbs) + Being overweight in accordance to his height (BMI) + Fighting someone taller IS NOT EQUAL TO Inoue needing to trim down (since his walk around weight is 140lbs) + Being at a healthy weight in accordance to his height (BMI) + Fighting someone his same height.

Gervonta is 3 weight classes above Inoue at 135, it makes no sense to jump up that much weight at this point in his career. That would be like Tank jumping up to 154 and fighting Charlo this year. He already has belts at 4 different weight classes from light flyweight to super bantameight and is undisputed at bantam and super bantam. Now is there a possibility in the future? Sure, from a skill/ name recognition standpoint it has the potential to be a superfight. Asians are one of the smaller people on earth. They don’t have natural big frames. Inoue is only 5’5” and slim. He’s already moved up, fought and champion in multiple divisions. He will do what is best for him, not for a bunch of haters. They tried to push the narrative that he’s not good until he fights Tank and he has to prove in the US. Combat sports has multiple divisions for a reason. Why nobody tell Tank to move up and fight Bud Crawford or Bivol? Inoue can only fight the best fighters in his divisions and done that. In terms of fighting in the US. The Americans don’t support and promote the lower weight divisions like Japan. That’s why many fighters have to travel outside of USA to get paid. No one want to get into combat sports and fight without compensation.

First of all, the fact you'd make a Crawford / Inoue comparison under this video shows there's an agenda.
If you know anything about stats, its that they can be manipulated to prove anything.. This is similar to bringing up IQ scores and saying __ has a higher IQ than __ without factoring in the circumstances..
The question here is whether you're comparing apples to apples.. Are those lower divisions as stacked as the others..? You'd have to factor in how occupied those divisions are - because someone getting 1st place in a competition between 3 other people isn't as impressive as someone doing it against 1000.
The average height for men (worldwide) is around 5 '8 and the healthy weight for that height (according to the BMI chart) is 130 - 160.. So I'm guessing those are the most occupied and diverse divisions.
An adult male weighing 122lb isn't common (worldwide) - which is why we see a specific ethnic group occupying those divisions.. It's almost like Inoue's competing in local tournaments since his division isn't as diverse.
