How to Build a Drainage Ditch with a Land Plane and Tractor

- We are starting our Kentucky Fence Build, but before we start, the drainage ditch has to be right. The landplane shaped everything nicely, but I thought the tiller would bounce into the next county. The weather is not working with us as it has been so dry! We have only received 0.25" of rain in the last 50 days. This is very dry for us, making our clay soil like concrete. Please leave us a comment on how you think we did. #tymtractors #titanattachments #drainage

Great video Tony
Thank you. It was a fun hot couple of days.
Hy Tony thanks for your’s videos
Glad we can share our journey.
I hope you get a few days of dismal light rainy days to knock all the air out of that dust then some sun to turn it back into a structure. Would be a shame to wash it all into the type 6 rock (or whatever its called over there) after all the effort of shaping it. Thanks you both for posting. And thanks to Gizmo for just being Gizmo!
Yeah I use a lot of slang. Many people call it riff raft here even though I know it's called rip rap. We are some kind of dry here but we are showing some pretty good chances of rain later this week. We have had heat advisories for the last 10 days. It has just been crazy hot! Gizmo dog is always a game to go to the farm.
Looks great but only the rain will tell thanks Tony for a great video
Bring on the rains!🥵
Good work Tony. I like that rip rap! I need about 5 loads of it.
The cost of this riprap hurt my feelings.
Gizmo is in charge! Great job, guys!
He always guards us. The squirrels are mean in our area. 😁
Tony I love watching y’all’s videos! I didn’t know you guys was doing it until Tyler told me about it! Just awesome & it’s good seeing you guys again lol
Great to hear from you too! It has been a crazy ride. We never know what God has in-store for us. I pray life is treating you well.
Nice work
Thank you
Love your channel friend! I live in Florida, I would be glad if you had all this rain we gettin! Lookslike y'all need it! Love your channel! Keep it up!
Thank you. It is so dry here. The rain is always going around us.
Tanja, the videography is great. Keep it up. I know how hard it can be.
Thank you. I appreciate her so much for all she does.
Enjoyed this video Tony and Tanja. Looking good.
We are building our dream one rock at a time.
Awesome bucket skills there Tony!!
It turned out nice looking. Rain will tell the truth. 🙏
Great job Tony, be safe and enjoy your weekend.
Thank you, my friend.
Lots of work, but you have a couple good workers helping. I agree with the posters recommending the straw, rye, wetting it down. Might get lucky with a slow gentle rain, but probably not. I’m looking forward to that bridge build. Maybe the Guard will let you borrow an AVLB? Not a job the T25 would have enjoyed, thankfully you have it’s big brother for the heavy lifting.
Yes sir. You sparked my imagination. Wood AVLB on the front of the tractor.🤣🤣🤣
Really coming along looks great
We have worked hard clearing and cleaning. It is projects like this that let you see the work giving instant self gratification.
Here up north I use a mix of Rye and Kentucky Bluegrass.
I will plant it in the fall, but it is so dry here.
@@TonysTractorAdventure you will love that mix the Rye for the root base and the bluegrass for the fill. It ties together great.
Great work, Tony! 😎👍
Thank you my friend. It was hot and dusty but I had a good time.
Craig dodson. Don’t know witch would be right for this time of year but a rye for a root base spread hay and put out sprinklers to water the seed it will all so help compact the soil . Love your show.😅
We don't have a water well dug yet. It is going to be tough. Pray for light rain.
Do you have a tractor sprayer or a water truck good luck with your program 🇺🇸
Hey, I really appreciate that. We have some rain in the forecast and we have had a few sprinkles. Hopefully that will help.
Man you're not kidding when your saying it's dry! Hoping you get some liquid sunshine soon. What brand of tiller is that? Like it? Take care! 🇺🇸🇨🇦⛈🍻🚜
Thank you. I have the RK tiller made by King Kutter. It has been through the abuse. I am praying for rain.
Good evening to both of you 👍😇👌That is a very expensive wood fence 😮 🥴 Nice puppy dog 😇👌 Said what are you talking about your lovely wife ( slow starter !!!) Fräulein, Sie können ihn für seinen komischen Kommentar korrigieren !!! Wait for it Sir 🤣👌😇 Outstanding close up view 😇👌👍 Yes it is hard time for the air filters 🥴Outstanding tractor therapy video Sir and great views from your OUTSTANDING Camera Lady Cheers 😇👌👍🍻
I cried like a baby when I paid for the lumber to build this fence. The rip rap rock was not cheap either. We are building completely debt-free so this has slowed many projects down. I am glad that we can do this one and get it out of the way. It will make the place look better.
I will have to get my wife to read the German for me.
Tony ,be sure you build your fence gate wide enough for tractor trailers to deliver your home building materials. My 14’ was barely enough for them to turn in using the whole road in front of the property.
Yes sir. Gate width has been on my mind. My gooseneck is 25' and it is a tough turn. We are widening the drive and putting in dual 10ft gates (20' if we need it. We backed the fence off the road about 30'. I hope it will be enough. You never know what I will come home with.
Love your videos! You are a big part of why I bought a TYM T 264 that I love! I assume being former military, having a heavy duty diesel truck and tractors and not freaking out every tree you take down you two aren't flaming Socialists. I know you put down fabric, but like me I know you have seen full size trees growing from a crack in the sidewalk. Be prepared next summer with a lot of "kill all" and sprayers! lol Keep moving forward!
Thank you. I only put the fabric down where I think the water would be fast enough to cut. I expect I will have to weed kill the area.
Nice job!
Thank you. We are looking forward to getting the fence done
👍
👍
There's small fortune in treated on the back of that truck. I cringe every time I go into Lowes lumber section.
I don't talk about pricing on the channel, but the rock and wood made me cry.
Water it down and put a crust onto it in a controlled action.
We don't have a water source over here so all water is brought in on the truck.
I'd recommend at least throwing down a few bales of straw or hay, and hosing it down to help set the dirt in before the rain.
We don't have a water well dug yet. All water is brought in so we will have to figure out the best way. Pray for a slow rain 🌧️
I get hundreds of those mushrooms in my garden
Are they edible?
I'm not gonna try I can't find them anywhere
How many hours do you have on your tym t25? I'm buying a tractor next spring and not sure what brand to go with.
I have 130 hours on my T25. I have 270 hours on my T474-no breakdowns.
