2 - Whoever Allāh guides - he is the [rightly] guided; and whoever He sends astray- it is those who are the losers.
3 - [It is] so that Allāh may distinguish the wicked from the good and place the wicked some of them upon others and heap them all together and put them into Hell. It is those who are the losers.

They enjoyed their portion [of worldly enjoyment], and you have enjoyed your portion as those before you enjoyed their portion, and you have engaged [in vanities] like that in which they engaged. 2 - They have certainly disbelieved who say, "Allāh is the Messiah, the son of Mary" while the Messiah has said, "O Children of Israel, worship Allāh, my Lord and your Lord." Indeed, he who associates others with Allāh - Allāh has forbidden him Paradise, and his refuge is the Fire. And there are not for the wrongdoers any helpers.
They have certainly disbelieved who say, "Allāh is the third of three."And there is no god except one God. And if they do not desist from what they are saying, there will surely afflict the disbelievers among them a painful punishment.
So will they not repent to Allāh and seek His forgiveness? And Allāh is Forgiving and Merciful.
The Messiah, son of Mary, was not but a messenger; [other] messengers have passed on before him. And his mother was a supporter of truth. They both used to eat food.Look how We make clear to them the signs; then look how they are deluded.
Say, "Do you worship besides Allāh that which holds for you no [power of] harm or benefit while it is Allāh who is the Hearing, the Knowing?"
3 - Abraham was neither a Jew nor a Christian, but he was one inclining toward truth, a Muslim [submitting to Allāh]. And he was not of the polytheists.
4 - They said, "O Noah, you have disputed [i.e., opposed] us and been frequent in dispute of us. So bring us what you threaten us, if you should be of the truthful."
He said, "Allāh will only bring it to you if He wills, and you will not cause [Him] failure.

@@mobrown7751 I've subscribed to AP for years now, and I've never considered him as 'some intellectual' at all.
He is simply an excellent critic of Islam, and him also being an apostate who was raised within the religion gives him an 'insider's perspective', which has lent authentic depth to his commentary.
But it wouldn't matter if he was an apostate or not, because all of his points are valid anyway.
It is pretty desperate, fallacious and pathetic for anyone to attack AP for maybe not being an apostate, because it wouldn't change all the good reasons why we should 'stay away from Islam'.
In other words, you are attacking the man instead of attacking his arguments like you should.
And that is an ad hominem fallacy which only invalidates YOU.

Also, they always ask ex-Muslims to recite some verses, as if knowing them proves you were a "real" Muslim, I was born in an Arab Muslim country, went to school there, I know more Quran than most Muslims and guess what? I was never a true Muslim, never believed in it for a second in my life, I couldn't disclose it of course because you know how tolerant this religion is. The crazy thing is that I never had any choice and in the eyes of the society there, I was a Muslim, and now I'm an apostate even though I never believed in Islam, this is because in Muslim countries, you're born a Muslim if your father is a Muslim.

That guy is talking about " exposing someone " I was born into a Muslim Marriage and I cannot recite a single verse from the Quran, because of the trauma I dealt with as a child, I do not want to remember any verses from that terrifying doctrine. The things that will forever be ingrained into my soul are the stories they tell after death, being confronted by three angels, and the punishment you receive if you are unable to answer their questions. Being hit with a hammer that can shatter mountains or my mother telling me one night as a teen that a Djinn probably urinated in my ear because I was so tired that I decided to skip a shower. I'm sorry but, the God of the old testament is one nicest entity's on the planet compared to Allah. Salute to you AP, Ali Dawa, and the other dude Muhammad whatever his name is, dudes a narcissist, I remember my mom displaying these same types of behaviors.

Ex muslim Turk also. I stopped reciting anything in the mid 80's not long after learning the basic prayers. Like most Turks I didn't have a clue what they even meant. You are made to feel these words are sacred and magical like god cant understand anything but ancient arabic. Suprised me but I still remembered At tahiyyatu ... and qul huwallahu ahad. Thats about it. I only did it for about a year. My Turkish parents are secular strong Ataturk lovers they didn't even know basic islam. I learnt my stuff from a Pakistani student. It was when I started reading translations of the hadiths I knew it was bad. I had my doubts with the Quran but hadiths sealed my rejection completely. Growing up in the UK in a christian environment I had already rejected Christianity as a religion. But I like the quote love even your enemies god is love, treat people how you want to be treated. Being a keen astronomer and mainly science oriented in my job atheism seemed natural after a period of being a deist. Actually I've noticed most of my so called muslim family you could say are deist. Turks seem to treat Islam like modern Christians treat Christianity, nobody really goes to the mosque unless there's a funeral. Both my boys identify as christian neither are practicing like most christians in the UK.

Most of those who Muslims seem to think are Christians here in the UK are not people who have any real faith in God, the Bible or the Lord Jesus Christ and who are unlikely to attend any church or Christian event, other than perhaps a funeral or a wedding which may include Bible quotations, or may not.
Real Christians in this country are a small minority these days. We are very much a post-Christian society, indeed a society largely ignorant of and apathetic to Christianity. Indeed, some are quite hostile.
