Today we are going over the difference between the Kubota LX2610 and L2501! B&T MacFarlane Ottawa LTD. 45 Slack Road Ottawa ON 613-225-0555 sales@btmacfarlane.com
Fantastic info! You helped me decide which one should be right for me which is the LX. Thanks for this comparison of pointing out the comfort & finished property weekend warrior types LX vs L series.
I’m a very happy LX2610SU owner. When I went to the dealer to choose between the LX2610 and L2501 it was a hard choice. I decided the LX was a better fit for me. I think the 2501 engine, with its larger cubic inches and longer stroke, is awesome. The cast tranny case is nice too. But the pedal layout on the 2501 (HST) really turned me off. They improved that on the new series L 3302 and 3902 . Brake on left and HST on right is the way to go . Very happy with the LX 👍
It’s funny that you did this video. I actually built a LX2610su online and went to my dealer to look at one of those tractors. Once there, and after looking at each and talking about my needs, I purchased an L2501. The biggest difference is the nearly 900 extra pounds of weight you get with the Standard L. Great video.
The young man seems to be on tract with his tractor info, also he gives a good delivery , which is clear and direct. I would also like to hear about the 2650 model, if possible. Thanks for the info.
Yeti cooler love to Win, because I haven't yet tried a Yeti!!! But I have tried and will again be in the market to buy !!!! New Subscriber and Liked#41 !!!
I have been debating on whether to get gear driven or hydrostatic in the 2501. I am used to my 8n gear tractor and am worried that the hydrostatic may be an expensive repair in the future. Am I wrong about this concern?
We have had very few issues with the hydrostatic transmissions from Kubota, generally we see more repairs being done to gear drive ones surprisingly. Not sure if that is just operator error or what. Thanks for watching!
The hydro tractor cannot pull as much weight as the gear tractor, they are not even compatible. Hydro tractor good for bucket work, Ease of operation moving dirt, rock, brush and light pulling. Gear tractor is good for plows, disk, stumps, etc. gear tractor takes a little more effort from the operator for bucket work.
The gear tractor is a beast, most noobs don't know how to run a clutch, which explains why they may see more in for clutch work, not to mention the WHINE is the HST, it sounds terrible.
Make sure to subscribe and comment to be entered to win that YETI cooler!! Thank you everyone for the support and watching!
I really enjoy all your videos especially the LX series. I own an lx2610 and always learn something new and informative in your videos.

Same for me…went in for an LX2610 and ended up with an L3302
@@zombieslayer556 haha I went with a L2501 because of the weight.

2650 was replaced by the LX2610

I really enjoy my LX2610
Yup, looking at the lx
Can the cab be added to the LX or does it need to come from Kubota.?
Sweet
I have a BX but that LX is sweet !
In the 26HP tractors / where are the cab versions
Which one is priced lower?
Maybe in the Future the L series will get a factory cab.. I feel like it would sell very well
LX26210 CAN FIT WITH CAB IN A 9 X 7 GARAGE. MINE DOES, LOVE IT.
Do they have the same engines ?
The lx is a great machine!
I have 30 acres all woods with 4wheeler trails and food plots. Which of the 2 tractors would you recommend? The LX2610 or the L2501?
L2501 for sure
I would love to win that Yeti cooler

Isn’t the L2501 cheaper?
You can't go wrong with either one, just depends on the pocket book.I bet the price difference is fairly wide.
They are actually extremely close in price, to the point where you really have to look at what you need the tractor for!
The LX was more than the L when I shopped them, and you get less tractor, go with the L
I have the weakest turf you can imagine and I have a l2501 with r4 tires. I don’t tear up my yard.
L2501 hands down, more cubic inches and alot more torque, just lose some of the creature comforts.
It weighs 700 pounds more! Thats huge when pushing snow.
Lx2610 is made of aluminum underneath
@chuckstubblefield5998 why did they do that?
He compared a top of the line LX2610, to an economy L2501 lol. way to go lol Id take the 2501 everyday
