My pleasure! Let me know how it goes
Great tutorial again! You¨ve got skills Sean!
Thanks, my friend! These are often very difficult to do for students, so I hope this was helpful or at least made it a little less stressful. Any tutorials you’d like to see?
@@TheArtMentor I'm just waiting to see whats up next! You're doing a great job!
That’s a lot to live up to, but I’ll try not to disappoint! Thanks for the support 👍
Awesome video
Thanks so much for watching!
I really appreciate your reply. I have a studio but send my clay off to be fired at a friends. I found your tutorial really helpful:)
My pleasure! So I personally like to sculpt with white clay with grogg. It’s easy to paint or glaze, and it’s pretty mid grade clay that can stand up over time well. Any other questions?
Really helpful.
Glad to hear! What are you sculpting lately?
Doing contemporary ceramic sculpture. Have not done faces but would love to. Your videos are stellar.
Thanks so much! I’m glad you’re getting a lot out of my tutorials. Anything you’d like to see in the future?
thank you!!
You’re welcome! What are you sculpting lately?
@@TheArtMentor Hi, and thank you for your reply! Currently, I am sculpting a cherub and gargoyle for my first ceramics class in college!

AWESOME
I’m glad you think so 😁 what kind of project are you using this for?
@@TheArtMentor i want to create my dad's face.
That’s great! Good luck and I hope this is helpful for you
Hello. What clay is the best for sculpture. I use paper clay but I’m a complete novice finding my way?
That's a great question! There are many different types, but it first and foremost depends on your access to ceramics facilities. Do you use a ceramics room with a kiln, or are you making sculptures from home?
@@TheArtMentor what would be best for a sculpture at home?
Probably sculpy or polymer clay if you don’t have access to a ceramics facility and kiln. Have you used those before?
What trouble areas do you have when making a human face? Are there more detailed tutorials you’d like on something else?
lips and eyes and ears :)
Yeah those are always troublesome aren’t they? 😅
Hey, awesome work. Could you make a video how to do a Sculpture Face on the Video layout (The White Sculptures, on this video). Would be GREAT THX
So you’d like to see the facial planes like the one I’m holding in the thumbnail?
Yes, exactly. I would also be interested to know what kind of materials you use.
I watched a lot of tutorials and your tutorial is by far one of the best. So thank you for your time and sharing your knowledge. 👌🏼🙌🏻
That sounds like a good idea! Thanks for the suggestion, and I hope you continue to enjoy my content
Where do you get the clay?
I get mine from a ceramics specialty store, but you can get it from most art supply stores too. Are you a student or an art teacher?
@@TheArtMentor No just wanting to learn, can sculpt things easily comes naturally. Want to learn. Thank you.
You’re very welcome! I hope my tutorials help you out!
