Lovely! You really have an eye for color and flow. It's fun to see what is native to different areas of the country. My grandmother grew up in Wisconsin, and would talk about the Jack-in-the-pulpit and bright green moss she would find while picking blackberries in the 'Woods'. Here in Southern California, everything starts early. It's not cold enough for tulips, but freesias do very well, and re-seed themselves each year. Roses need part shade, but do fine with strategic watering. Wisteria bloom about the 3rd week of February. While I love English garden type flowers, the planting styles still work with bougainvillea, lavender, various flowering sages, and a number of Australian and Mediterranean plants. One day I will espalier some apricots and Santa Rosa plums. Thanks for the inspiration!
Greetings to Southern California! With high temperatures here still only in the 40’s or maybe 50’s, your climate sounds wonderful right now. I totally believe that you can create almost any garden style using native plants by paying attention to hardscape and foliage textures and colors. And, as you say, strategic watering and partial shade can go a long way in hotter climates. Thank you for watching and commenting and your kind words. I apologize for not responding earlier, but I was absorbed with the birth of my first grand baby over the weekend 🤗
@@RosannesGarden Congratulations! :)
What a beautiful video. I can feel the love flowing out of you as you show the beautiful blossoms.
That is very kind of you to say. Gardening is my passion.
Rosanne, this video is just perfect. Thanks so much! - Laura
You are so welcome! I'm so pleased you enjoyed it 🌹.
What a beautiful, enchanting garden. I binge watched your videos and it’s 3:07 am. I should go to sleep now! You are an inspiration. Will keep watching your videos tomorrow.
Ohhh, how sweet of you. I'm so glad to hear you are enjoying my videos! 🌹🌿🌞
Hi Ms Rosanne! You sure have a great huge garden! I am still working on my 30'x75' small garden since 1 year ago. Your garden is simply lovely. It sure is the result of lotsa hard work, time and money put in the garden. Love, from Malaysia.
Greetings to Malaysia! I do think that garden design can make a garden seem larger. Our entire lot (house and all) is 50 feet by 200 feet. I grow lots of vines on arbors, trellis's and other structures to make the garden seem fuller. It gives the eye more to look at. I'm sure your garden is beautiful and full of love. Although I've not been to Malaysia, my daughter-in-law is from Malaysia.
We just got 8 inches of snow last night. The garden is white.❄️ ☃️. Quite a contrast to your garden I'm sure! 😊
@@RosannesGarden Hi Ms Rosannes! It is delightful to read your reply to my comment. Thank you so much for your cold ( pun intended - due to the 8" snow, LOL) greetings! The bougenvilleas in my garden is sulking due to too much rain lately (its the monsoon season now till almost March, here). But the Butterfly Pea Flowers and the marigolds are enjoying the rain! Lovely to know that your DIL is from Malaysia!
Such a beautiful garden I love the variety of lovely flowers and trees! ❤
Thank you! I'm glad you are enjoying the visit!
Once again, a beautiful tour of your garden, a true inspiration to us all ! Thank you Rosanne
Thank you Mike! That is very kind of you to say.
Your garden is very beautiful!!! I'm glad there are several options of trees, flowers in the cold climate especially I live in zone 5. Your garden is very inspiring!!!
Thank you! Zones 4 and 5 really do have a lot of options. Glad you were inspired! ☺️🌿🌺
Bought a house down in Northfield and watching now while we have so much snow on the ground. Thank you for such wonderful inspiration , can’t wait to tr
Greetings neighbor! The snow storm was normal, but weird about the thunderstorm a few days later. I'm glad it looks like we'll have a white Christmas though. Glad you're enjoying the videos.
Your spring garden looks beautiful. The tulips in your front pathway are such a wonderful colorful welcome to your home and garden. In the south I am lucky to get two years out of them so I have about given up on them except in pots. Love seeing your spring garden.
Thank you so much 😊 . My apologies for not responding sooner. I was organizing content in my CZcams channel and came across your comment this afternoon.
I'm so glad you enjoyed the spring tour, although we are now almost looking into fall! I'm glad you liked our colorful tulips. Pots work great for tulips and so many other plants. Thanks for watching! Yours in gardening,
Rosanne

Those Tulips are truly beautiful....i admire the beauty of Tulips....but unfortunately...i can't grow Tulips in my garden because of our climate...
Thank you for sharing your gorgeous garden....Have a nice weekend and good night from my Country...Rossanes.
Thank you very much Zaleha! Even if you can't grow tulips, I am glad you enjoyed the video. I love sharing our garden with people from all over the world. How affirming to hear from so many people from so many places. All the best.
@@RosannesGarden Say HELLO to your Beautiful Tulips and Roses...
Good wishes to you and yours...
Thank you for taking a look at such a beautiful and naturally tasteful garden. That walk enchanted me ... A garden created with love, radiates a lot of beautiful energies ... You have something to be proud of, madam!
I have a small garden on very clay soil, there are many other limitations, but I believe that the hard work on it will bring me joy in time. You have my great admiration, because behind those beautiful shots there is a lot of knowledge, thinking and physical work. You are magical and very inspiring, thank you ... Greetings from the Czech Republic, zone 6
Greetings to the Czech Republic! Thank you for those very kind words 🥰. I do appreciate comments such as yours because it helps motivate me to keep making videos of our garden! I love connecting with people from all over, if even for a short time. Gardening and love of nature is so universal. I'm sure your garden will grow into a beauty, regardless of soil type. Nurturing and caring is the key 🌹☺️🌿. Thank you for watching and commenting. All the best in gardening!
I love all your beautiful trees!!
Thank you! The crabapple trees are indeed spectacular in the spring.
Thank you very much! So beautiful!
Thank you too!
Love your style of colorful clusters as opposed to a more mixed together look.
Thanks. Glad you agree. I think it's just more pleasing to the eye 🌷.
A real fairytale garden.
Thank you. Funny you say that. When we were first planning our garden, I wanted an "enchanted" feel. Hence, all the weepy and unusual trees. I guess our plan worked!
I love the pink cones. Very beautiful garden. Irresistible 😀😍
Thank you so much 😊🌷
Very beautiful! I am also a garden lover, but your garden is top level. About tulips:after 2nd year we dig out tulips after the leaves become brown, dry them out, store them in basement till autumn, plant them back in autumn and in spring they are blooming just fine. Another option is to plant them in bulb baskets so that the bulbs didn't dig themselves too deep. This year I will see if actually this worked. I have no time for digging them out (I am working full time & my garden is 1500 sq m, too much work), and would not like to throw them away either.
Hi! Thank you! Glad you are enjoying our garden. I appreciate your sharing your tulip technique, and realize it is widely practiced, but digging the bulbs up is not practical for us. Mostly, it's that we plant the bulbs about 8 inches deep (using an auger) and that we plant them so close to the hosta plants. It would be too disruptive to the surrounding garden. But, thanks for the tip. 🌷
Your garden is a very lovely place.🌷🐇 I like very much😊 💕
Thank you so much 😊🌹🌿
I am so ready for Spring here in MN! Some on my Daffodils and Hyacinth are emerging on the warm south side of my house! I can’t wait to see them all in Bloom!
Yes, spring is around the corner. Nothing happening here, but soon....🌷

Thankyou for shering wonderful garden
You are quite welcome! Thanks for watching and commenting!
Beautiful, some many great ideas.Happy gardening ,..... stay safe!!!!! Regards from Windsor Locks CT USA
Greetings to Connecticut! Glad you enjoyed the tour! 🌷
Your woodland garden is Heavenly! I've tried to start one, unfortunately most of the flowers seem to have spread the wrong way, to my neighbor's yard. He just sprays them with weed killer. Ugh. My favorites are probably the dutchman's britches & the shooting stars. My grandma had bleeding hearts all over her yard when I was a kid & she was buried with a sprig in her hand. I couldn't bear to lose them when her house was sold, so I moved them to my garden, along with her peonies, magic lilies & ostrich ferns. You've given me many new ideas for the garden this year... serviceberry, that unique peony that I'll need to find, those beautiful spruce trees... thank you!
Thank you. I'm so glad to hear that our woodland garden resonated with you! Your grandmother's affection for bleeding heart is very touching. Good luck with garden projects; happy you got an idea or two. ☺️🌳🌷
Lovely…thanks for sharing your beautiful labor of love….

Tulips done right!!! 👍🏽 in my area I just saw a random patch of 1 or 3 tulips or they are in a row. This is more appealing. Thanks for showing us your garden.

lovely tulips
Thank you very much. This spring it was especially nice to have the tulips. They made passersby smile.
GORGEOUS. You are a talented designer. I just discovered your channel. Love the photography and also the species info that you include. Just lovely. I am in zone 5 PA. Winters seem to last forever here. You demonstrate an incredible variety of plants that thrive in your short growing season. So happy I found your channel. PLEASE keep making these inspirational videos. A joy to watch!
Thank you very much. Glad you are enjoying the videos! Short growing seasons are a challenge, especially for many vegetables. But, I do love winter too.
It's gorgeous. My blue eyes just turned green with envy.
Thank you. That's so nice of you to say. 🙂🌺🌱
Simply beautiful! Im so impressed bu your handiwork and taste y greatest acquisition this spring is the addition of Eastern Bluebirds to my garden. After 20 years of birdhouses occupied by every other type (who are all wonderful in their own right) a male finally convinced a female to accept his offer of the home!!! They are on their second brood and the first babies are still nearby and after my neighbor's seen the brilliant blue, they have erected houses too! Ive gardened my entire life and I finally feel complete.
Thank you! I feel the same way about our little Wrens. We've had some for a few years now and it is so special to hear them sing while gardening. I used to listen to the radio when gardening, but now I rarely do. Congratulations on your Bluebirds! They are truly special. All the best!
You have such a beautiful garden. I wouldn’t have imagined this kind of garden would thrive in Minnesota. Truly beautiful.
Thank you very much! It is amazing the beautiful variety of flowers, trees, shrubs we can grow here. 🌷🌳🙂
First time I’ve seen red cones on a tree. 🥰
First time for me too. Most unusual
Aren't they fun?? The red cones eventually do turn brown though. The red cones are just a quirky part of the spring garden here :-)
So many thanks, really enjoyed your video 😀
Glad you enjoyed it! Thanks for watching!
Thank you for sharing. Your garden is so so gorgeous ❤️
Thank you! We love sharing our garden 🌷
@@RosannesGarden I am living in Minnesota, Minneapolis, zone 4...I am impressed with your garden. I had a lot of tulips for a year...But the rabbits ate all of them the next year 😢. Please show me how to avoid them. Tulips are the most beautiful flowers that I loved ❤️.Thank you very much ❤️
@@elifetime I am so sorry about your tulips! What a loss! I sure wish I had a good answer for you. We have many rabbits too, but their appetite for tulips hasn't been much of a problem for us. My best advice is to fence the area off so that the naughty bunnies cannot gain access to your tulips. I realize that may not be possible, as it wouldn't be for us. Some rabbit repellent sprays may work as well. When I have used sprays like that, the bad smell can be overwhelming, however. Sorry I can't be more helpful. I hope you have better luck this year!
@@RosannesGarden Thank you so much. You are such a kind lady ❤️

Hi Roseanne 🙂 I adore you with your sweet natured characteristics and wonderful detailed storytelling. Thank you! I agree in the anticipation for spring to appear 🌱 .. a most welcoming time with its abundant budding. Sure to lift spirits !! .. after our frigid winters (IL speaking, and I know MN is too)
I do not plant tulips myself but nearby I have a wonderful shopping mall who gives away their tulip bulbs every year!
I wouldnt mind on the other hand, your small mounded tulips. They are darling and not so sure that I've ever seen before ! Nice stonewall 😉! Lovely everything!
Thank you Gina! 🌿🌺🙂. Those species tulips are so great because they require no effort and they come back year after year. I highly recommend them!

~ Good to ' meet with you' Rosanne... the investment in all the tulips has paid you in full ... Found you this evening , the small, side? garden from last year showing the wisteria ( my blue moon looks lovely and is in flower, yet black dragon, has never flowered) and the winding path...magical...Thank you! Isn't 'nature' just wonderful, when represented as an expression like yours( tornadoes and droughts, are other, for me , less pleasurable aspects) ... yet considering how just a few weeks from being covered in snow ... teaches me, hope and endurance ... So much spoke to me, ( as well as the birdsong: ) things to do : get some Irish moss, as the camomile , has not enjoyed the small cramped lodgings, imposed on her! 2) find out what these zones mean and what mine is... and 3 ) to say thank you again for letting me share . Greetings from the land of my ancestors: England ~
How nice to hear from you Deedee! And, greetings to the land of gardeners! It is very rewarding to read comments such as yours. My goal is to inspire others to garden, try new things, and have fun. Good luck on the Irish moss; it is such a wonderful little groundcover. Just make sure that it gets enough sun. It is in the carnation family. Alas, zones. They are a US Department of Agriculture (USDA) metric that is based on a thirty-year average of the coldest temperatures each year. I do wish that it were an international standard! It is invaluable when figuring out what plants can make it through our winters.
Thank you for the note...All the best.
thank you , you have amazing garden, i will soon implement some of them

I really enjoyed your tour. I rent a house now, but used to have many of these in my Michigan garden. I planted some here but can't go crazy because it is not my permanent home. I appreciate your names and attention to detail as well as soothing voice. Reminds me of Priscilla Patrick's yoga stretches on PBS. Looking forward to more tours. Happy gardening and many thanks.
Thank you so much! Perhaps you will get back to a place where you can garden. I'm glad you enjoyed the video. Funny about the yoga and PBS! I really am not a fan of how I sound in recordings. Glad you find it soothing though. Happy gardening to you too!
