@@kravn6677 Yeah I guess, supes would be responsible for making sure the compositor added the muzzle flashes, which then they would have sent the final plate to the producer which should have seen it for the editor to edit. Not sure why they all would miss it unless it's intentional. Oh well

No. Gatlings dont taditionally shake/bounce. Nothing with a firerate like that does. It pushes back and up continously, strong but smooth.

Aside from a part that it’s really hard to hold and shoot that thing, you gotta realise that it’s spinning barrels, so, even if you stop shooting the gun still spins.
Spinning object that is balanced will be more stable than not spinning one. Shaking is supposed to represent recoil from shooting

Reasons as to why the mounted gun is still shaking even though he stopped firing
1. He stopped shooting but the barrels kept rotating causing it to still move.
2. Recoil.
3. He's already in a pattern of moving and so he hadn't yet realized blah blah blah.
4. The effects team made a mistake.

For anyone who doesn't know, the MG still shake even after the actor stop shooting
yah but the shake wouldn't be the same as when bullets are flying out. This is a case of the VFX direction being to stop the shooting when the copter goes down, but the original recording have the actor act as if he's shooting until he gets knocked down. so the effect ends when the physical acting for the buttel kickback doesn't
the shaking is caused by high volumes of rounds at a very high rate of fire. due to its high rate of fire and the size of its ammunition, a minigun produces a significant amount of recoil.
yah but the recoil shake would end after the bullets stop flying, the spin of the barrel would be different and less significant than the bullet recoil shake
Knowing how past films were, this will most likely be fixed in the release of the movie. Similar to how the Spiderman Movie with the 3 different Spidermans coming together and not all appearing in the trailer, most likely will be adjusted accordingly for the release.

Not only that, there is no jerky recoil from firing a minigun lol. That's the kind of recoil you get from hip firing something like a MP40 lol. The rounds come out so fast it's just a continuous push backwards.

This isn't a mistake you're actually encouraged to shake the handle to disperse the recoil on light machine guns like this. It's commonly recognized as a mistake because most people have never fired a light machine gun lol

The electric drive rotates the weapon within its housing, with a rotating firing pin assembly and rotary chamber. The minigun's multi-barrel design helps prevent overheating, but also serves other functions.

Incorrect, you won't get any recoil from a Minigun that is not firing. To suggest that recoil is possible defies laws of physics. Recoil is the backwards pressure you get as a result of bullet being pushed forward
What you will get from a rotating Minigun is vibrations, not recoil.
Actor is trying represent here act of human trying to balance a gun that is recoiling, what is worse is his depiction has low frequency and would only apply to low fire rate, a Minigun a recoil is much less jittery
Alot of people are saying it's realistic since miniguns are like this and like that but people don't realize it's a film, and it still looks odd from a technical point of view. If the reason is if he ran out of ammo, directors could've a added a scene/shot emphasizing that he did in fact ran out of ammo, and observant people don't have to exactly point that out to other people who aren't knowledgeable about guns

He's on top of a moving train in the snow so yeah it would move a lot, and the actor is also moving the gun, just the vfx team messed up a bit when adding the bullets and such in post.
That also might be an effects-team error as well, especially if there were two teams working on Helicopter + Environment and Actor + Minigun.

The irl barrel of the weapon spins even though there are no rounds being discharged. Therefore the weapon will still shake even though no rounds are being fired. Not a mistake by the actor or the vfx team.

Minigun is still spinning, that is whats causing it. The shaking of a gatling or minigun doesnt come from the gunfire as the gun is way too heavy for that. But the barrels? The barrel grouping probably weighs like 15 pounds

I would say its more of a post production error because they stop its 'firing animation' before he stops shaking the weapon prop.
It looked to me that the barrels on the gun are still spinning after he's done shooting so it still kind of makes sense.

Im not too knowledgeable on miniguns, but it could be the case that since the gun was still spinning after he was done firing that it was still causing it to shake as it was spinning down. Feel free to correct me if I'm wrong here. Either that or the vfx team goofed here.
Spinning barrels on a minigun don't really shake much at all. A child could probably hold it still pretty easily while it's spinning (if they could carry the weight).

A gatling gun doesnt have a bouncy recoil. Its more of a continous backwards push and urge to raise the tip.

I dont pretend to know much about guns, but from my gaming experience those things spin up before and after firing
that wasn't a mistake, he was shooting the gun repeating the same recoil control movement but he just ran out of ammo without knowing so his body keeps doing the same recoil control movement. This was actually really realistic.

The thing is they put it like that because only people like xQc would be focus on the mini gun itself the whole time and most people would looking at the chopper that is about to crash into them.
I don’t understand people suggesting it’s the barrels still spinning that’s making him shake, if the barrel had some lopsided weight on it then maybe, but we know that’s not how a minigun works for crying out loud. Even with the shaking to begin with that’s not how the recoil works.

people keep saying that the minigun still spinning is responsible for the recoil, but if that's the case, that means your minigun barrel is poorly designed as its cylinders should be well balanced and hopefully well weighted

Its normal thing on this type of mini gun after you stop shooting the barrel is still spinning for little longer so thats what shakes the gun, its not like once you stop shooting barrel instantly stop spinning...so everything is ok in trailer

Honestly, I initially thought the mistake was the train or wtv the actor was on went over the crashed helicopter like it was a bug (no stopping, no derailing, no impact in a sense, just feels like the train went on like nothing happened).
Na the muzzle flash was added after the fact so the mistake was made by whoever did that. On set the dude was probably just standing on a green screen and told what to do

Anytime a movie or tv show is showing guns being fired you should take a closer look at it. YOu'd be suprised how many times actors "simulate" recoil from a gun that isn't firing anymore or how often they pull the trigger without any rounds going off.
I can understand this sort of mistakes for guns like a minigun but when it comes to pistols or rifles (or any conventional firearm for that matter) I never understood why they don't just use blanks so such a mistake is far more unlikely to actually happen.
