Stale Cupcakes is my absolute favorite Animal Crossing song. It's so peaceful and calming. I have it playing in my ACNH bedroom (the music box version). When my son was a baby (about 2021) I would sometimes play the Aircheck hour long loop in the room where he slept and he seemed to like it a lot.
I just ordered stale cupcakes from Nook shopping (I check the selection daily in anticipation for my favourites) (those being bubblegum, bazaar and Ily) and I can't wait to listen to it tomorrow :)

KK Disco is my fave track along with Steep Hill. I love the lullaby versions on the clam music player too
I use K.K. Choral at the memorial area on my island. I dedicated my island to my cat since he passed away the day after I got my switch and a couple days before I got New Horizons. I go to that area to reflect or calm down, and that song with the waterfalls surrounding it really does something to me that I can't explain. That made me all the angrier (/lh, of course) when Kitty autofilled two days before I could amiibo Bertha in and she was playing that song in her house.
It is such a good music for that kind of scenario! I personally like the melody. Sounds classical ❤

Some of my favorite KK songs are KK Ballad, Island, and Bossa! Steep Hill also goes so freaking hard.

I always put it on outdoor speakers somewhere around Halloween for the added atmosphere when the villagers sing along - cranky villagers go *so* low, it's almost unreal, 10/10
24:37 the music is supposed to sound random, it's based on a brazilian genre of music called samba where you have to make quick leg movements to dance to it, as a brazilian i actually recognize biggening of the song as it's a part of one of the most popular samba songs!
the amount of clear cultural refferences is so lovely. its like K.K. travels around the world learning about each culture and their music and makes a song for each of em.

Lolly is a permanent villager in my town. She likes to wear her orange comedian outfit and sings I Love You for half the day. It's a favorite of my villagers so we kind of had to adopt it too.

K.K Faire is Haisai Keke in Japanese; "Haisai" is how you say "Hello" in Okinawan, Okinawa being a part of Japan.
Khoomei is a popular kind of Tuvan throat singing, and Tuva is a federal subject of Russia.
K.K. Love Song's start makes me think of an old 1919 song (so a couple of decades older than my mother) called "Swanee". (Be warned, some performances you might find were done in blackface, so you may not feel comfortable viewing them, regardless of singer intent.)
K.K. Lament is "Keke Enka".
K.K. Marathon's identity was one of the more surprising ones out there. It turns out to be based on a traditional type of Indonesian music called gamelan.

Slider were your teacher, as the Japanese name is "Keke-sensei", "sensei" being a word encompassing a number of professions, but most universally known is "teacher". Note that the album art depicts the girls as wearing sailor uniforms, while the boys are in gakuran. If you've watched anime set in high school, especially a co-ed high school, you've seen both.
Which is funny because you're mostly -- outside of a few bits of the list -- just serpentining your way down the list of songs as they appear in a full menu for a music player. If they were in writing order, maybe you could expect to see trends, but this is mostly four songs in alphabetical order, then four songs in reverse alphabetical order, next row forward, next row reverse, etc..
Stale Cupcakes is really "Blue Onigiri". It's like, what is this 4Kids-inspired localization, guys? There's nothing like a stale cupcake, I guess.

K.K. Soul is my favorite song. But I think objectively, Steep Hill is the best one of all. It's a total masterpeace.
it's definitely up there with the top. i think, composition-wise, steep hill, two days ago, k.k. sonata, k.k. moody, k.k. milonga, k.k. lament, agent k.k., k.k. bossa and bubblegum k.k. knock it out of the ball park.

Edit: I don't say I dislike the song, it's just that you just hear it pretty much EVERYWHERE in Animal Crossing. Also why'd you force your villagers to just sing it for thousands of hours? 🤷🏻♂️ There are so many songs that are so much better than Bubblegum.

Hypno K.K. Is my favorite song. It sounds like that because it’s being played backwards. Normally a note has articulation at the beginning of it and ends much softer. Since hypno kk is backwards the articulation happens at the end of each note which gives it the creepy vibe.

29:20 It is a graduation song. The original title is “Keke sensei”=Teacher Keke and the cover art is of a class picture tacked onto a bulletin board.
King KK, in my opinion, is very underrated. The whooshes and hints of Tom Nook’s town tune really give off a great vibe.

Really fun idea for a video! I was shocked to see "Pondering" somehow escape a 1 or 2... that song is just mad unsettling to me. In a similar way to K.K Hypno (Which I am also shocked didn't get the absolute lowest rating lol) Great taste for the upper ranking songs tho

Stale cupcakes was the first song I ever purchased on animal crossing and it was my favorite for so long. I was new to the game and I didn’t understand it was a song so it was sitting in my storage for so long until I realized it can be played on a speaker. I just got it for the silly name

The song "Steep Hill" has always spoken to me. One day, I heard it and cried. It wasn't sad, it was just so deep. I believe that it is the most meaningful, deepest, and most memorable K.K Slider song. It feels as though it's trying to convey a deep and meaningful message. If you haven't heard it all the way through yet, I suggest you do.
K.K. Stroll holds a special place in my heart since nowadays it brings me nostalgia of me playing New Leaf

K.K. Dirge and Hypno K.K. are creepy songs. But I think Dirge is the creeper one because of the lower and more muffed sound. Muffed audio sounds a lot creeper than more clear audio.

Kk salsa was in my living room in new leaf for a long time. I put it on my beach in new horizon but then changed it to kk mariachi, but kk salsa has a special place in my heart, same for steep hill.
Go kk rider is probably a reference to the japanese tv show kamen rider which is about this guy whose kinda like the power rangers but in a bug-like suit and he can ride a motercycle

my favourite k.k. songs are as follows: agent k.k., k.k. aria, k.k. ballad, k.k. chorinho, k.k. hop, k.k. house, k.k. lament, k.k. waltz, steep hill and two days ago. out of all these, my all time faves (i can't pick out) are agent k.k., k.k. chorinho, k.k. hop, k.k. lament and two days ago. i LOVE how k.k. chorinho got the attention it deserved. out of all the new songs, it seems to be the most underrated one. it is SUCH. a banger. i love the guitar at the beginning, and then how they key changes (i am a SLUT for minor-to-major key changes, they hit some spot in my brain). i love the latin/spanish-inspired ones in general- k.k. mambo, k.k. samba, k.k. tango, k.k. flamenco, k.k. moody, k.k. milonga, k.k. condor, with exception of mariachi, i don't hate it, i just feel like they could've gotten a lot more creative with it. and k.k. samba gets bonus points for leaning in heavy on the cuíca- one if my favourite instruments.
Mr K.K. is 100% a graduation song and nothing will change my mind. 10/10 job ranking it.

k.k. moody, k.k. swing, and cafe k.k. are my long time faves but i really like two days ago because it used to play in the house of my fave villager (olivia) in older games and also it reminds me of music from the 60s which i associate with my dad and listening to in my childhood. also i love k.k. bossa and disco because they’re just universally accepted as absolute bangers. somehow i’m not a big fan of bubblegum but it’s probably because i was an ac fan in 2020 and i couldn’t escape that song 😭

So around ten years ago. Back in the new leaf days. I streetlassed their girl in the streetpass plaza. This girl (I forgot the name of her) her name town was named créme.
I walked into her house and it was really pink. Bubbly and cute. And bubblegum k.k. Was playing.
Then I went downstairs and literally the most TERRIFYING pattern of this creepy EERIE face on the wall. And it was small and dark 😭. I literally was shaking at my 3ds. Went back upstairs and I haven’t seen bubblegum k.k. The same ever since
