Whispering While Looking at Polymer Bank Notes - Aussie, NZ, UK & South African - Australian Accent

  • **UPDATED ** I've just realised that the UK banknote is not actually polymer. Also, all South African banknotes are printed on cotton substrate, so is not polymer either. However the Australian and New Zealand banknotes are definitely polymer. I was 50% correct (and 50% wrong). Sorry for the mistake. This polymer banknote video seemed a good idea at the time. I'll have to stick to Sudoku videos instead
    This is my thirty-second #whispering only video. In this video I'm discussing and looking at #polymer Bank Notes. There is one bank note from Australia, New Zealand, South Africa and the United Kingdom (Bank of England) in this video. This is an #asmr video, so the purpose is for relaxation. When we first got polymer bills in Canada there was a rumour that there was a "scratch and sniff" part that smelled like maple syrup and for a long time I fully believed it 😂
    Great video as always.

    It’s alright to get it wrong. As a citizen of the USA I’ve never even seen a polymer note in person lol. Still a super relaxing video even if 2 of the notes aren’t polymer.

      no worries mate. we don’t expect USA citizens to know polymer notes, knowing major countries in Europe is enough as a starting point

    These videos are such a great addition to your main channel, i would definitely suggest putting a link on your main channel to this account and maybe your other account as well. The only reason I knew these channels existed is because the came up on my recommended page lol

    Hi Aussie, loved the video - sublime whispering as usual. All the South African banknotes have English in the front, whereas the R10 note is the only one with Afrikaans on the back, and the others have one of the African languages on the back.

    I can see why the misunderstanding. The old style UK notes are like a waxy parchment. I once boiled one to see what would happen. It just fell to bits. £5 experiment 😅
    Malaysia has some interesting polymer notes.

    I've recently learned about the Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander custom of not viewing images of the deceased. Does that mean that every 50 Dollar note is an potentially offensive to first nations' people with the picture of David Unaipon?

    • @jago5193
      @jago5193 Před rokem

      I hate people like you. Not everything is offensive ffs in fact most things that people call offensive aren't!

    • @potkettle
      @potkettle Před rokem

      @@jago5193 offensive is maybe the wrong word. "A little insensitive" maybe? I don't know, no-one may care and I've completely misunderstood the concerns, but that's why I asked.
      But your comment was phrased politely, so for that I thank you and wish you all the best.

    The UK £10 note is now made from a polymer, but it's only changed relatively recently, and so your £10 is now no longer legal tender I'm afraid. All our notes are moving over to the new material one at a time.
