- Hazbin Hotel Season 1 has been concluded for sometime now, and Season 2 still has a while before it's premier. SO I WENT TO YOU, the beloved audience, to ask what theories you have cooking up for the upcoming season. Again, because it was fun last time and you had a lot more great fan theories to share! Time to chat about which might be the most likely, which are the most insane, and which are just straight up fun~

Here's a simple theory, Niffty is Alastor's only true friend, she only does what he wants due to her personality, it could explain their unique relationship, like allowing her to put a cockroach crown on his head.
I'd also think that Nifty originally had a crush on Alastor, seeing him as a “Bad Boy”
Also, her habit of always smiling plus the fact that she's camera shy are probably stuff she got from hanging with Alastor
This is a small one but I like it.
Vox is in love with Alastor. We learn in EP2 that he's salty because Alastor didn't join his team but that seems like a weird thing to hold a grudge over for seven years! did he really want Al on his team so badly? did he really hold onto this grudge for seven years?
My guess is that either
A. Vox is in love with Alastor and that's why him not joining his team hurt him so much or
B. Vox is simply using Alastor not joining his team as an excuse because he doesn't want to admit the real reason he's so mad at him which is that he loves him.
It could also be that Vox is mad he can't control radio like he can social media and the adult films industry, since despite those two belonging to Velvette and Valentino, Vox being the leader of the Vees gives him control over those two aspects of the entertainment industry, and he wanted Alastor to join as that would give him control over radio through controlling Alastor as he does with Velvette and Valentino
Bro they were bestfriends if you see the photo of alstor in ep 8 at the finale song you can see vox hands at alastor
SMALL THEORY FROM A VIDEO I SEEN which I can't find-
When Lucifer first saw Vaggie, he knew she use to be an angel. After he hugged her, there was a second or two of him looking above her head and even reaching out, as if he was trying to figure out where her halo is.
Lucifer use to be a very high ranked angel so it makes sense he'll be able to tell that she use to be one. Why he didn't say anything, I'm not sure.
I saw a video like that! It also added that Vaggie covered her X over her eye, so I'm supporting this theory
I said this in the last video too but my no.1 theory is still that Carmilla was a winner who had children when she was alive but both her children ended up in hell as sinners. Out of love for her daughters she quickly stole tons of angelic steel, or a way to access it as a form of income and safety because after she does this to avoid getting caught she litterally jumps from heaven too hell to protect her children. This theory definitely has some slight issues like how Carmilla would even know her children had died and were in hell (unless it had been so long it was kind of certain they'd all died or maybe her children died first) but it also explains some things. Like how Carmilla thought to hurt the angels with angelic steel (because she has experience around angels and doesn't see them as these higher beings and knows the truth about them being well..dicks) and why she seemed almost traumatised by the fact she killed the angel. Because yes it could've been she was just scared it woukd lead to her familys slaughter but idk why would she always think she would keep blood off her face? And if she hasn't hurt or killed anyone how would she even be an overlord? Its because winners i assume have some kind of benefit against sinners. It also explains why she feels the need to fake having horns with her hair

I found a theory (I don't know where) and it basically says that if you are killed by an angelic weapon, you manifest as an eye somewhere in Hell. If you look, there are many different-sized eyes around hell on sidewalks, walls, etc. They could be the souls killed in Exterminations.

I was watching a CZcams compellation of Hazbin Hotel edits, and one of them was using the song Me and My husband for Husk and Angel Dust. While watching it, this came into my head. What if while Husk and Angel were like a couple or something back when they were alive, and when Angel died (Angel died in his 30's and Husk died in his 60's) Husk turned to the alcohol and the gambling to drown out his sorrows. but now that they're both dead, they don't recognize each other, because how would they? I feel like it would explain their almost natural chemistry. 😊
Another theory of mine is that Adam made all the exorcists the same way he made Eve. He says he named Vaggie which is a weird thing to claim about someone if you didn't father them. Plus there's the fact that the exorcists seem largely separate from the winners, to the point that barely anyone even knows about them. It'd be weird if you met someone in heaven, then just never saw them again. Plus there's the fact that it just seems like a position that'd be hard to normally recruit for. you have to be good enough to get into heaven but violent enough to gladly kill sinners. It seems to me that it'd be way simpler to just make them

Lucifer didn’t fall, because he wanted to help humans, fell due to the motive of his actions; his pride. He thought he knew better than God. I believe Sera will be too stuck up to accept Sir Pentious. Just look at the way she treats Charlie (“you’re graced to be here” and “of course it’s only temporary” when Emily says she’ll never want to leave), and the way she views the trial. She’s completely unwilling to hear her out and see the evidence for herself. Sera might believe she knows better than *heaven itself* and try to send Sir Pentious back down or deny that he is truly redeemed, causing her to fall due to her pride.
I’ve personally been obsessed with the idea of Baxter or Arachniss (is that how you spell it) cause they were shown briefly and they could play a role in Alastair’s absence or Nifty
Theory:
1.Alastor is a circus and all of helluva boss and Hazbin take place inside of him
2. Nifty is literally god
Just an idea - Adam and Liliths deal, Adam pulls strings to get into heaven, Lilith supports the extermination plan but says to leave helborne alone in an attempt to protect Charlie. This part is a stretch, Lucifur owns Alistors soul but is also the one that boosted Alistor to begin with, could be Satan aslo.
Theory: kind of a crack theory but what if Lucifer is the true owner of Alastor's soul and just forget about their deal. This explains little to nothing. However it probably has a lot a fan fic potential
My season 2 theory is that at the start of the season or early in the season, Lucifer while not be completely taken out of the picture so he can get more characters development with Charlie will be restrained or preoccupied somehow from actively assisting the main cast to the full extent of his abilities. Perhaps being put under angelic trial/house arrest for being a major part in Adams death, injured by heaven or some new angelic weapon created by the Vees, being busy actually trying to somewhat lead/improve a hell going under a major shift in status quo due to the extermination being cancelled/him actively doing things due to Charlie reigniting his passion and status as a dreamer, perhaps Lilith entering the picture in an attempt to stop Charlie's plans making him torn between his wife he clearly misses and his beloved daughter, being held back by Charlie due to her pacifistic nature/a new desire to show she is capable of handling herself as princess of hell, preoccupied with one upping alastor, or a mixture of these things. He not only by far the most powerful member of the main cast and likely either tied for the most or second most powerful of the characters we met so far in the entire show, but unlike Charlie is also much more willing to use and leverage those powers. The Vee's being heavily implied to be major villains of season 2 would literally be insects to him, as he could completely obliterate from existence without a second thought the moment they try to do anything towards the hotel and especially his daughter.
(Also this is not my idea and I saw this somewhere, but he will form a genuine friendship with husk due to the bartender being a relatively chill dude who also dislikes Alastor)
Another theory: Vox will help the hotel beat Alastor when he turns on them, they will both get redeemed, and they will work together to creates hell’s spotify
My crack theory is Charlie masterminded everything. She knew Vaggie was an angel, she baited Alastor into thinking he had info she needed, she dragged Vaggie to heaven just to Throw Adam off and she baited heaven into making the rules for who gets into heaven. Everything was her. Remember, she told Nifty to stab angels. Thus setting up Adams death at someone elses hands beyond her control. Keeping her the cute princess of hell who couldn't hurt a fly. Even her transformation was a lie, just something to make her look good while nit revealing the actual demonic face beneath it.
Basically the entire thing wasn't Charlie being unreasonably ignorant and innocent but rather her acting that way. I mean she should know about angels, she's half angel herself.
Not original, I read it somewhere else but it makes so much sense. Allister is planning on, or feels he may need to, kill someone in the hotel and his favour will be for forgiveness or the promise that Charlie won't kill him or send Vaggie (or anyone else) to avenge the fallen. A favour at the time of his choosing where no one gets hurt.
Please don’t do this to me. I have faith in Alastor’s redemption.
I don't think that is how the favour is gonna be used. I think, it will be something, that enabled Alistor to hurt people.
Alistors wording, that Charlie agreed to, was: "One favor, at a time of my choosing, where you harm no one."
Charlie won't hurt people. Doesn't mean her actions won't lead to people getting hurt.
Actually, butting in for a moment, God HAS been mentioned, at least, in a "Oh my God" way. Something interesting about God also, is that he would be Charlie's grandfather!
The Sir Pentious theory is even better considering the other way that seraphim have been depicted is as serpents with a single pair of large wings.
my personal theory for Charlie and Alastor's deal is that it ironically will backfire on Alastor when he tries to cash it in. the wording says "one favour at a time of my choosing where you harm no one."
i think Alastor will use the deal to "unclip his wings" allowing him free rain to be as sadistic as he wants, however because Charlie is secretly stronger than he is and she thinks selflessly she would count even indirect actions that cause harm as her harming someone it would prevent Alastor from harming anyone with his newfound freedom basically fully neutering him rather than just limiting his scope like his current deal does.
I have a headcanon! Imagine how funny it would be if during the reveal of Niffty being an overlord, Niffty obtained Alastor’s soul, by giving Alastor her power and working for him as a servant. Basically meaning, she gained ownership of a soul, by giving someone ownership of her soul! XD
I mean, it just makes sense. Niffty would literally do anything to be with the “BAD BOYS!” XD
My theory is that roo is velvette on steroids or something somehow i'm the only one who noticed how similar they are and there is no proof that roo is short for "roots of all evil"
The individual who, in my mind owns Alastor’s soul is Roo who’s also likely to be known as Eve. As in Adam’s second wife and The Root Of All Evil.
My theory: Alastair is secretly the real sin of pride. We have not actually met the sin of pride yet, as Lucifer is an angel, and is only named after pride because of the ring he rules. If you watch the show, the way alastor dresses, talks, and almost everything he does is based on his pride. It explains why he hates Lucifer as he would think Lucifer stole his place and power. It explains why he is not scared of and is very cocky towards Lucifer and Adam. It explains why he is so powerful compared to other sinners. And it fills the gap of the sin of pride.
What if Alastors' deal with Charlie is him asking her to give up her throne...Not harming anyone at the exact moment she does it, later however...The carnage would come after the deal is done from his side. (Maybe not THAT exact scenario, but some scenario where he ends up with more, and i mean MORE power.)
Theory: I keep saying this, but Carmilla is Vaggie’s aunt. Now there was this theory that they were mother and daughter but I think it’s less then likely.
For one Carmilla’s daughter’s didn’t react to Vaggie when they came to the hotel in episode 3 and I honestly don’t think it makes much sense. I think they are related in another way however because of their character designs, their constant parallels being shown, and the fact the Carmilla and Vaggie seem to know each other in the “Out for love” song in episode 7. And it would definitely explain most of the questions I have about their relationship.
In the same way that Lucifer became the serpent of Eden that－despite his best intentions－allowed evil to take root in the mortal realm, I think Sir Pentious will be the serpent of heaven, and that Chalie's well-intentioned goal to rehab sinners has created a gateway through which evil can infiltrate beyond the Pearly Gates
In terms of god there’s definitely something above Sara in the hierarchy not quite sure what or if will see in, it may literally just be the fours of nature
Sir Pentious also has multiple eyes, on his hat and on his skin, like Sera and Emily. Looks like a strong and direct message to Sera to me. - Att. God.
I’ve got a couple
A) the show will end with heaven and hell disbanding and just being one after life for sinner at least
B) at some point Lucifer will die and or get locked in some form of purgatory
C) Emily will fall from heaven
The person to lock away lucifer ( if it comes to past) will be rue/ Alistor being controlled by rue if she is the one to own his sole
You know what the car military is actually a pretty good one.Cause you know how all of them have some sort of indicator on how they died.I don't see any on carmela so it would make sense for her to be From heaven because she doesn't really have any indicators on how she died so it would make sense
I have a theory that when Alastair came to hell roo made a deal with him asking him to kill those overlords for her and gave him the power to do so
I have a possible theory. Sir Pensious was killed by Adam. Adam then dies at the hands of Niffty. Because Adam is dead, does that mean not only is Pensious a seraphim, but also takes Adam’s place in heaven?
Since I am late to this party (video) this likely won't be seen but I would just like to point out Charlie's deal with Alastor screams of a devils bargain and thus the wording is likely very important.

as opposed to
"One favor at a time of my choosing WHERE YOU DON"T HAVE TO HARM ANYONE"

@@jean7464 Might be a little complicated to explain, I will do my best if you need me to try again let me know, the short answer is the first is forced leaving no choice the second is optional meaning that Charlie would have a choice whether or not to use violence, but in the first option she would have no choice instead forced to stand aside even if she wanted to use violence.
An example of this would be if Alastor's favor were to be for Charlie to not stop Alastor taking over hell, under the deal in the show which is the first of the two I wrote Charlie would be forced to not use force to say for instance even save her father from Alastor. Where as in the second option I wrote she still wouldn't be able to stop Alastor she could still defend her fathers life so long as that didn't stop Alastor from completing his goal.
Ultimately the point is that that was a Devils bargain, where the wording of it is VERY important, as the saying goes "The Devil doesn't lie, but the truth he tells may not be the truth you hear."
My example of why the wording is bad for Charlie is not a great example but I couldn't think of a good scenario right now where the forced versus optional pacifism made much difference.
Theory: the egg boys were enslaved kids when they were alive and sir Pentious was their owner
IDK why, and I don't have any proof or anything to justify my theory and am probably incredibly wrong BUT! I think that Alastor made a deal with Lilith and that Lilith (and by extension Alastor) is gonna be a big bad next season. Regardless of how that pans out tho, I simply don't see Alastor becoming "good". I can only see him as a manipulator who does things for his own good, may it sometimes coincide with the good functioning of the hotel, yes, will that mean he puts aside his plans for the hotel? doubt it.
I personally am thinking that god has died and his power still radiates from his body in a similar way of the pale king and the can't comprehend someone like him dying so they just think he has not be responding because he approves their decision up in heaven
Here's one I've had for a while. Those slain by angelic weapons don't fade into the either, but rather go to some kind of netherworld.
Hehehe, these were some very interesting Theories, I wonder which will be more accurate than the others?
Anyway, in case you do another one, how’s this for a Theory?
I am pretty certain that, when it comes to Sinners, we all probably think whoever they are now is probably how they were when they were alive and probably could be the case for some of them, there by you would think that would be the case for Nifty as well, but let me ask you this:
What If that wasn’t the case for Nifty? What If when she was alive, she was still a relatively flawed Human but nothing too bad or at least not as bad as she is currently? What If when she came down to Hell, her already present Flaws worsened while also getting some new ones?
In other words, What If Nifty’s current level of insanity isn’t due to her experiences on Earth, but rather due to her experiences in Hell?
Honestly, as far as we know, this could be possible, which would bring the Question of who’s the Real Nifty? I think this would be interesting, but that’s just my opinion.
Yes i find weird that they obscured Lilith face on that scene, i dont understand why, they already showed us Lilith face in his demon form, there are multiple close ups to the pictures of her in the hotel, specially in the pilot.
I have a Theory it's about Alistair ok so my theory is Alistair is a Nephilim so the sort of connect with the Alistair train to get into heaven to take control of it the reason he's doing it is because he's pissed off that his whole race was wiped out except for him because you know Nephilim
I think Lucifer is going attempt to take over Hazbin Hotel from Charlie.
I still belive that Carmila may be Eve, because i think they already showed all characters in the short intro story of the first episode except for her. Because Eve should be in hell for taking the fruit right? Also Carmila design seem to have long hair, but it is tied up, and i find particulary interesting the design of his hands that are big, and just so happens that Eve sin was taking the fruit on his hands. But yeah it is just a crazy theory.
Something is definatelly off with her, because the angels were targeting her and her daughters, and that should not happen, hellborn should be except from exterminations.
About Sir pentious becoming a seraphim there is a lot of mythological support.
the word that we translate to "seraphim" can roughly means "winged serpent"(or firely ones") and the specific world appears in two very distinct contexts
1)Describe the angels closest to God, a choir eternally singing praises to God and being closest to him, their appearance is a mystery as in this revelation their forms where occulted by their multiple pairs of wings and being hard on fire shining like burning coal they are shown using this fire to purify anything i'm presence of God.
Personally i fell that the show take on seraphim is most based on this passage and derivatives of that as we see in the fire themes on Lucifer and Sera, the wing number match and being highest rank. there later other mentions of seraph like angels but the ranking or appearance doesn't always match and they also come from books written way later in Hebraic or even Latim.
2) The second one and the interesting to this theory is another passage of a similar age narrates God sending "something" to scourge and "purify" enemies. this "somethings" are caled the exact same word "Seraphim" and are described as multi-winged snakes that shoot fire breaths. from hebraic onwards this got unified in translation with some winged snake beast that appear in other texts but has a diferent name.
We are translating a vague language entirely pieced together by translations back then on another also vague language so is very hard to say anything definitive, but to many people this two instances describe the same kind of angels making the Seraphim a form off firely multi-winged snake creatures of very high rank
.That said another interpretation(and my favorite) is that td;dr this describes wersten dragons
Bonus: if sir pentious is now a seraph he power scales way above alastor now.
Emily will become a fallen angel like Lucifer. My guess is that she will start questioning heaven too much.
Adam will become a sinner.
I think the good and evil shown in the first episode are real primoridial entities, Roo is Evil, and the Good is who the Angels worship, the God humans worship is the battle between these beings of Good and Evil, and Roo is the actually Devil character mentioned in most of the Bible.
I also think Adam never ate the apple and that’s why he can do whatever he wants.
I have a theory that Lilith and eve are working together
And nifty could be a spy
I don’t know if anyone has said any of this yet or like at all but I have a theory multiple
This theory sort of completely demolishes the whole thing with nifty being Roo pet
But what if Nifty is created by Roo
The other one is the same one but with Alastor created her
But then again the polkadots that’s on her dress looks like bullet holes that’s possibly the way she died she was shot three times she seems also like a Yandere Possibly got killed by someone she liked or by police
My Theory is God does exist in the show but does not intervine with someone's free will, however, he is angry with Sera and agrees with Charlie and he desided to teleport Sir Pentious to Heaven after he gave his life for the hotel. But that is just a theory, a film theory. Peace out and have a good day.

I think niffty and alastor are just friends, i dont think she could own his souls if someone else does which seems to be whats happening. If nifty owns alastors soul but still does whatever he wants, why would he be so desperate to break the deal he seems to like nifty

I will never belive the nifty owns alastor theory,it makes 0 sense,they get along far too well,alastor has made it perfectly clear he has a deep hatred towards the person that owns him
I have a theory of my own please do not talk s***how about this theory my theory is I think Alster will make himself Charles royal advisor. Basically the number to when she takes the crown think of like Aladdin when the Salton does something stupid under jafar's rule if I want to get blamed by salt and wood I suspect a similar thing may happen with Alister and Charle

I feel like Cherri Bomb will be the next sinner to stay at the hotel/get redeemed. Why? Let's just say in season 2, the hotel finds out about Sir Pentious getting redeemed and stuff, and since Cherri Bomb and Sir Pentious kissed at the end and she said it was hot, so maybe she will want to get redeemed to reunite with him
