Good information and well done! Lamb and Cod are a level above what you may find in the states. I do not think we found one bad restaurant in Reykjavik. Gull Beer is great. Staying downtown, you will be in walking distance of almost everything of interest in the city. Almost everyone speaks English and the city is very tourist friendly. The exchange rate as of August 2023 is about 140 krona to the dollar, but prices are high: a burger and a salad may cost you 80 dollars. If you want to try whale watching or puffin watching, go out of the city harbor where it will cost you less than through a cruise line and you don't spend the majority of your time sailing out of a fiord to get to where you can see these critters. The video pronounces the parliament as "Al lingi" but it pronounced "Al thingi" and is one of the smallest national legislatures ever seen, protected by one or two traffic arms restricting vehicular traffic, showing how sane the country is compared to some others. The rest of the country holds site after site of unbelievable natural beauty.
