  • In this episode of Tech Takes, host Breon Martin talks with Georgia Tech faculty member Shannon Yee about why climate change is not just a global challenge, but a grand opportunity. They discuss why creating technologies is not enough - and why it’s crucial to address policy, business, and even the humanities as we develop climate innovations. To scale up solutions, Yee says, we must bring everyone together under the umbrella of collaboration.
Yee is associate professor in the George W. Woodruff School of Mechanical Engineering and Vice-Chair of the Steering Committee for the New York Climate Exchange, a multi-university collaboration to develop a climate solutions hub in the heart of New York City. He is also executive director of The Exchange at Georgia Tech, the project's satellite office in the Southeast.
In Tech Takes, we sit down with renowned researchers, scholars, and experts to get their insights - and opinions - about the most pressing challenges and issues facing the world today. For more Tech Takes, subscribe to our channel.
