- Super Mario Advance is the enhanced and re-designed re-release to Super Mario Brothers 2 for the Game boy Advance. This version is mainly based off the SNES Super Mario All-Stars version, with many changes and additions.
Some of the changes include more enemies, enlarged versions of enemies, a brand new boss, character and enemy voices, and an after game mode where you find Yoshi eggs (not included in this playthrough)
My only real gripe with this one is with the audio - these remakes on Game Boy Advance just don't sound as good as their SNES progenitors, and I don't like the added voices.
This is still a classic though, and I find most of the other changes refreshing additions to a game I've played through so many times now. - Hry

My very first Mario game ever actually! It was that perfect 7-8 age range and time where internet access was not a given, which lead to the basis of game knowledge being hearsay. Most of us were confused that our Mario games started at “Level 11.”

I beat this game when i was 8 yrs old lol. I still remember the last boss look like frog or something 😂.
(As a kid) I remember getting to the very last level but never beating it cause I didn't know where to go or what I had to do in order to beat the level, I didn't realize it was more or less a specific path you needed to take in order to get to Wart.
I got this for like my 7th birthday. i could never get past the floating log section of 1-1. Thinking back on it I played more of the Super Mario bros than Super Mario 2

Ive played this when i got my first gameboy advance for my 7th birthday. I remember grinding this game all night long and when i heard my parents outside my room i acted like i was slepping 😂 this video brings back great memories, so nostalgic

They have the original and the super Mario all stars edition on nintendo switch online but they are pretty different

So, here’s a tidbit: when I played this as a kid, every time I reached birdo, I never understood what she said due to the sound compression.
