    Fr Brendan, you've no idea how good it is to hear a priest speak like you just now...
    Naming it as it is, a small minded miserable assault by our enemies. The hatred of Faith by those in power who are so weak that they hide behind legislation and fear to inflict 'death by a 1000 pecks'
    That analogy is so powerful in its ability to describe the petty, underhand and insidious attack that's happening... 100s of miserable pecks that wear down, annoy and humiliate, all in the name of 'the public good'
    At least now its named, we know what we're dealing with and for those who believe in God enough that it matters in our lives the question is 'what now?' because compliance with a morally repugnant government that hates us but isn't courageous enough to admit it isn't really an option any more.

    Wow! We need more like you Father, calling it as it is! Was it George Orwell who said, when asked how he saw the future if things carried on as they were, "Imagine a boot stomping on a human face, FOREVER!"
    They aren't stomping on our faces yet but they are aiming weak little kicks at our faces, then running away again for fear we might get up and hit back! They kick us whilst we're down, weak, weedy, cowardly little kicks because they ARE petty people and they are, at heart, craven cowards !
    It's way past time we started naming this and the perpetrators of this crime for what it really is and thank you Father for doing so, so eloquently and powerfully! I'll keep watching it to empower myself in Faith! God bless you and all here!

    Other governments tried to do what the Irish government did. But bishops stood up. They celebrated mass against the guidelines. Irish bishops stay at home and refuse to stand up sadly. They should look at the example of the bishop of Barcelona.

    Thank you for raising your head above the parapet, Fr Brendan.
    Here in England, and certainly in my own diocese, I'm not aware of any bishop or priest who has spoken out during these past 15 months (but there may be a few?) Collegiality has seemed like the ultimate goal here.
    I know it is important to be obedient to those in authority. Nevertheless, it is also important to keep a sense of proportion. I'm not aware of a single case where the virus has spread in church. I therefore thank God for the underground Masses that took place during the lockdowns here, and for the few priests brave enough to celebrate them, literally behind locked doors.
    I am continuing to pray for my Irish brothers and sisters 🙏

    No apologies for the truth, you speak for us remnant. As a great St said, "the truth is like a lion; you don’t have to defend it. Let it loose; it will defend itself." What really saddens me is that the Church has shown a willingness - bordering on the enthusiastic in some instances - to forgo public worship in the name of the common good. And what have we got in return? Contempt heaped upon scorn.

    I agree with you on what you say about the church apart from
    the lockdown. All gatherings are banned, mass being "illegal"was brought in as some public masses went ahead in contravention of the ban. We are in the middle of a pandemic so I cannot see an alternative. Even if mass was said public some of the congregation could not attend. I visit my local church where some do not wear masks and there is no request to do so. I miss Mass and confession terribly but I also dread Mass in church recommencing before most are vaccinated because of people not wearing masks. There are also too many people gathering outside churches for funerals too. We had a family funeral prior to Christmas and stuck with the rules. This is all to save lives and overcrowding hospitals. In India due to numbers they are running out of oxygen, they cannot keep up wit burying the dead in Brazil all because there is no lockdown. Italy was in chaos last year with doctors having to choose who lived. I would not want to be responsible for a doctor having to make such a decision. As regards supermarkets, always quoted as a comparison to churches, I would spend less time there than at Mass and can choose to shop when numbers are low.

    • @murielkinsella3526

      I think you need to sort out your priorities.

    • @notamused3715
      @notamused3715 Před 3 lety +1

      I have to disagree strongly! First of all, all the vaccinations are abortion-tainted in one way or another and so we MUST refuse them for fear of damning our souls to hell! Unless one can claim invincible ignorance, by taking the jab one is choosing to benefit from wilful murder, a Sin Crying Out to Heaven for Vengeance. Who among s can claim invincible ignorance in this age of the internet? Not me , that's for certain!
      Furthermore, your fear that you will be infected by those of us who do not wear masks is totally unwarranted and is due to you believing propaganda and lies. Masks available to the pubic only stop particles of 0.5 microns or more from passing through the material. Viruses are only 0.03 microns in size and thus, if one WERE infected, one would still be breathing viruses out through one's mask. One could still inhale viruses from other people. Masks do NOT stop transmission of viruses full stop and you can read the research on this if you use Duck Duck Go instead of Google, which censors!
      Finally, there are 56 studies to date that I am aware of that have found NOT ONE case of asymptomatic transmission! NONE! Even the WHO have admitted that "asymptomatic transmission is so low as to be almost ZERO"!
      The PCR tests only detect fragments of viruses and cannot identify SARS-CoV-2/Covid 19 BECUASE IT HAS NOT YET EVEN BEEN ISOLATED! All the PCR tests can show is one has viruses in one's system. There are 20 different strains of corona virus alone and one of them is the common cold, so a positive PCR test could be merely showing one is fighting off a cold and, if one is not even showing symptoms of the cold, that means one's immune system is robust indeed and one is no danger to anyone else! Even the inventor of the PCR test, Carey Mullis, has said and I quote " The results are being misinterpreted! Just because you get a positive result does not mean you are sick!" . I watched a video, on YT of all places, where he said this very thing! He has also said he never intended it to be used as a diagnostic tool.
      I hope you decide to do your own research on this, using Duck Duck Go and realise you have nothing to fear from going back to Mass even if we all sat together again with no masks and the holy water back where it should be, Communion on the tongue and all! We MUST have supernatural Faith and refuse to believe the blasphemous lie that holy things, especially the Body and Blood of Christ Himself, could possibly be vectors of disease! It is a deep error to believe that! PLEASE, PLEASE stop letting propaganda and lies make you frightened of the practise of the Faith or of the Sacraments! Please remember Jesus's words in the Gospel of St. Matthew 10:28 " And fear ye not them that kill the body and are not able to kill the soul; but rather fear him that can destroy both soul and body in hell." Douay-Rheims Bible translated from the Latin Vulgate.
      God bless you and may the Holy Spirit guide you to truth and banish your fear!

      @@notamused3715 Must have a good read of your post, it looks interesting.
      My main reason for not taking the vaccine is my dislike of State coersion. We're being emotionally blackmailed into taking a jab for a virus that has 99% recovery rate.
      This is the thin end of the wedge; today the covid vaccine, tomorrow an implant allowing one to conduct business.
      I also agree with you on the tainted nature of the vaccines; I'm not convinced that Thomas Aquinas would concede this level of compromise

    • @notamused3715
      @notamused3715 Před 3 lety +1

      @@murielkinsella3526 I agree Muriel! I would go so far as to say that our obligation to others does not stretch as far as wilfully doing anything that we know would offend God, and I'm convinced these abortion-tainted vaccines offend Him very deeply! Abp. Vigano and other bishops have said so and I'm sure St. Thomas Aquinas would have a very low opinion of them too.
      May I also suggest you take a look at John-Henry Westen's interview on the LifeSiteNews website, with a scientist who used to work in vaccine labs, where she tells him about how the foetal cell lines for the AZ vaccine and for the testing of the ingredients of the others- Pfizer, Moderna , Johnson and Johnson- are harvested? It is a harrowing watch though, I must warn you. I haven't been able to finish it myself because I was so upset but then, I knew they were abortion tainted anyway and will never take one. If you don't feel able to yourself, and I would totally get that, would you be able to share it on your SM at all please? I've no Twitter nor FB nor any of them so I can't. God bless and keep you Muriel and God help Ireland!
