- Hey friends, I released the Triskele over 2 years ago and in that time I've picked up some tips and tricks on construction and stabilizers, so I wanted to upload a full length video showing those. I hope you enjoy it! Please like and leave a comment!

This wallet pattern is genius. I don't know how you thought this up but wow!!!! 😍
Thank you so much! It was a brain teaser for sure!
This is such an amazing wallet. I love the look better than the NWC. I need to find someone to make it for. Thanks so much for this updated tutorial.
You are so welcome!
I agree! I like this wallet more than the NCW and love the structured build.
Such a fabulous pattern!! Not hard at all and comes together like magic! My new favorite. Thanks a ton for the super clear tutorial!
You are so welcome!
Love it! You are so talented.
Thank you so much!
I will watch it again and then give it a try. Thank you for such a detailed video!
Glad it was helpful!
Cut this out last night and I'm making it now. I'll watch this ten times while I'm making it. 😂🎉❤
Ahh can’t wait to see yours Kira!!
Another fabulous video and pattern 👍🏼👍🏼 thank you
You’re welcome 😊
Thank you, I just purchased this pattern and can't wait to make it.
Hope you like it!
I thought you were saying terrible tape. And t thought that’s awful to say for the business. Then I realized you were saying tear-able. 😂
😂😂😂😂😂
I thought the same😂
Me too…
Same! I rewound this portion to listen again because I just made a purchase from The Sewing Room of Garner and it was great. Glad to hear it's tear-able tape and not terrible tape 😂
@@LaurenLeventhal lol that’s so funny. People in my class thought I was saying terrible too, I had to spell it.
Another great tutorial. 👍
Thank you! Cheers!
I really like this pattern, I have made two so far, the cork is great for my domestic
Wonderful!
i’ve made quite a few of these, but I definitely learned a few things here today. Great video. Thank you!❤
I'm so glad!
Yay!!!! So excited for this. I have the pattern from the monthly club. Jess's video was great, however as a first time I want to make per pattern! Super excited, thank you.😊
So happy you’re excited to make a triskele!!
I love, love, love your videos! They are amazing! I am to the point in using your patterns that I am now ready to give this a try. Wish me luck! you always make me laugh!! What a gift!!!
You’ve got this!!! 💪🏼
OMG I love your cat.
😻😻
Thank you. This is an awesome wallet and you are amazing at teaching. I’m finished sewing the Triskele Wallet and I’m currently edge coating. Thank you again.
You are so welcome!
Excellent video. I have watched several of your videos on various wallets and this is the most detailed one yet. I could actually see every step that you made without trying to enlarge my screen. Not only did it answer all the questions I had but I learned a lot of tips or tricks that will definately come in handy. I never used the ModPouge before or fired the edges of my card slots. Thank you so much!
I’m glad you liked the video!
My favourite wallet!
🤗🤗🤗
Very nice work and excellent job at showing how to do it. That turned out beautiful 😊
Thank you! Cheers!
Nicole THANK YOU so much for doing this tutorial! I did watch the dual one with Lauren but couldnt follow LOL One on one is better!! Now I think i feel better about making this while playing the tutorial!!!! Your wallet is AMAZING!
You are so welcome!
Great tutorial!!
Thank you!
Amazing.
Thank you! Cheers!
Second time watching. Love all your helpful tips.
Glad you like them!
I have been making card slots with using the Fabri-Tec glue instead of the tape. I just find the tape gunks up my machine, and the glue is great and fast drying.
That’s what I always used to use! Love fabri-tac!
I get to see arch live so nice we are having a blizzard - weather be chill -22
Omg 🥶
I have a suggestion for the landscape fabric. I found that i could cut the whole roll at once into 2.75" rolls with a kitchen knife. The knife needs to be a smooth blade not serrated and with a sawing motion cut through. it works perfectly. i too have a cat that wants to help in sewing and laying anything out is he cue to lay on it.
Oh very interesting idea! I’ll have to give that a try!
Ty for this video!! I have been looking to make my own wallet but couldn’t find a printable pattern I wanted for it. Ty Ty Ty!!!
Glad it was helpful!
Great video - I especially enjoyed your cat, as I have one as well (Chili) who likes to hang out on my sewing table as well
Aww tell Chili we say hi!
My Bag Making tip - cat hair stuck in the tape burns off nicely with the lighter..I love your patterns!
Hahah yes it does!
I’m confused on the coating you put on edges do you have a video on that to? Thanks for the video by the way I love this wallet. I like my wallets stiff and solid. Your video was very informative you explained everything well and gave different scenarios that could happen and how to take care of them . Greatly appreciated.
You’re very welcome! Search “edge coat” on my channel and you’ll find several videos!
Thanks so much. Really good video. P Harp
Glad you liked it!
Just a thought - Behind the card pocket I use the RIFD 2” tape to hold down my landscape material - my wallet has that extra protection. Bought it on Amazon
I haven’t heard of rfid tape! I’ll have to look into it!
I have an order for a leather Triskele. I tested my first one with cork and love it. The leather will look great. Just a plain leather wallet she wants. This is not a plain wallet an the leather will up the look. I don’t think I will need to skive the edges either. Will begin sewing tomorrow.
Post a pic in the Facebook group so we can see it when it’s done!
If your needle doesn’t like the wide double tape try a “Q” tip dipped in Vaseline and swab your needle (especially the thread groove when u see the thread start to pull- skipping a stitch). Works for me! but i I only have this problem if I use 2 pieces of tape- 1 on top of the other.
Also try Sailrite for your wide tape. I never have a problem with the 1/2” wide tape.
Great tip!
All I need now is an industrial sewing machine ,even though I think my old school kenmore could do the job
I sew on a domestic too!
Thank you for another tutorial! I really like your cork. Where did you get it? I have made 3 wallets so far and they are awesome! I am planning to make many more😊
I bought it from a customer who sold off all her cork, I’m not sure where she originally purchased it, sorry!
Hi I love your video can you please link the craft tex you use in the video for the wallet. Everything I came across looks like cardstock paper. Thank you in advance
It is like card stock paper! I Google “kraftex” and find the cheapest option.
Thanks for the updated tutorial. Great as usual. Where do you purchase your kraft tex? How much is too much to pay for it? These prices are all over the place.
Oh gosh it’s been a while since I had to buy some, I generally just search for the lowest price I can find. As long as it’s name brand kraftex I go with the cheapest shop.
Really enjoyed the video! Great tutorial. Can we purchase the templates for this?
I’m waiting on a restock but when I get them in you can, sign up for restock notifications on the listing itself!
Im just about to start cutting materials out and dont have any satin etc for the cc slots.
Could i use bias binding (1 inch wide is 2 inch wide when opened and quite thin)
It’s needs to be an extremely thin material otherwise it’s going to be puffy in that area and possibly throw off the measurements. Thin like SF101 or Cambric. Interfacing may be a better option!
@@SewGnar ok great. I have interfacing I can use 😉
Where was the 1/8” and 1/4” tape from? Couldn’t understand. Thanks!
Also which Modpodge? Several choices have on Amazon.
I get tape from The Sewing Room in Garner, NC (she has an online shop) and also Wawak. And I use the standard regular yellow label mod podge!
@@SewGnarThank you!
Love the metal tags! Would love to know your source for the custom tags. I didn't see it in the comments below (doesn't mean it's not there). Thanks for taking the time to update!
Hey! Check the very bottom of the description!
@@SewGnar Finally opened up new video on my computer - much easier to see all the comments you wrote. Missed it the first time on my other device :)
Where can I source the sassy cat that was mentioned in the supplies needed? 😊 Love this wallet. I just found you; will sub. Thank you for sharing. 🌹Rosie of Oz🇦🇺 & 🐶Omega the cavalier🐶
We got our sassy cat from the shelter, she came with just the right amount of attitude 😽 thanks for subbing!
Is there a reason you don’t stitch the ID backing fabric while you’re stitching the clear plastic? You could stitch 3 sides then glue/tape the top. Just curious. Made my first one last night…going to do another one tonight. GREAT pattern and GREAT instructions and video. Thanks for such a wonderful pattern!
If you stitch the ID backing fabric at the same time then the card won't easily slide into the slot, there won't be enough room. But you can certainly try for yourself! I'm glad you like the pattern :)
@@SewGnar thanks….hmmmmm…..I might give it a try….
My cat does the same thing it cracks me up.
Always in the way!
can you tell me the name of the interfacing? something tex? I only find Bosal but that one is white and yours is a yellow/brown color. Where do you purchase yours?
I googled “kraftex” and found the cheapest site!
Is the Amann thread you're using Nylon or Polyester? I sew (get it?) love your tutorials! Thanks Nicole.
Bonded nylon! 🫶🏼🫶🏼
What Craft Tex did you use? Do you have a link? I've never used this before and love the idea!
I just Google kraftex and get the cheapest option. It’s paper fabric and goes by the name kraftex, so it’s easy to find!
Thank you. I was spelling it wrong and came up with all kinds of options 🤦♀️
when using " vinyl"- what does she mean? faux leather vinyl? or is there another type of vinyl? What is the name of the vinyl that is shown in this tutorial. would love to figure this out plus any shops online where I can get it?
I used cork in this tutorial, I get mine from fabric funhouse but the pattern print is from a customer of mine and I’m not sure where she got it. Vinyl is considered faux leather.
Love this wallet!! Where did you get that gorgeous cork? Cute sidekick 🐱
I bought it from a customer who sold off all her cork, I’m not sure where she originally purchased it, sorry!
@@SewGnar no worries, it's really pretty
Great tutorial! Where did you get your nameplate?
Ditto 😊
I got them from Alibaba!
Where did you order the bag tags?
Lihui imports on alibaba
Where do you order your metal tags from?
Lihui Imports on Alibaba
I'm sorry to ask, but what is the name of the company you ordered the 1/8 & 1/4 tape from?
I get mine from Wawak!
Where do you get your metal tags?
Alibaba!
Hi Nicole, where do you purchase your cork from?
Fabric funhouse, use code SEWGNAR10 for 10% off your order!
Thank you. I just finished making three Triskele wallets following your newest video. Absolutely love them!@@SewGnar
Can I use #5 zipper tape??
Totally!
Where did you buy your landscape material and what is the name or brand??? Please. Your landscape fabric looks really thin.
It’s a really old roll so I don’t remember but it’s just regular weed barrier fabric from a garden store. Nothing fancy.
Where did you purchase your metal tags?
Hey! Check the very bottom of the description!
Thank you so much. I’ve been looking for awhile
Where do I buy the templete
On my site, they’ll be restocked soon! You can sign up for email notifications on the listing
Where did you get your Kraft Tex from?
As long as it’s kraftex brand I buy from whatever online shop has the lowest price, so I shop around every time I buy.
@@SewGnar thank you!
Is there a problem with your website? I can’t get on…
Yeah someone just alerted me and I’m looking into it now
I have 2 comments. 1. Your cat is cute! 2. Where did you buy the thumb punch tool? I searched leather punch tool and got different results. :-(
Search rotary punch pliers! I got mine from MoreMeKnow.com, she may have some left!
Is your Juki an industrial machine?
No, it’s a domestic
Tape will always gunk up your needle, unless you buy a special tape for sewing. To un-gunk your needle, have alcohol swabs handy to clean the needle. Do this or you could experience some serious problems.
I’ve been using tape for several years now and certain tapes will gunk up over time but not all of them (for me and my machine). I know how to handle it when it does 😉
What is modpodge?
It’s a clear substance that I use to seal edges.
@@SewGnar Thank you. I hadn’t heard of it before but when I spoke to my mom, she knew instantly what it was. I saw your plate later..it was very beautiful!
