I'll keep an eye on it. I like Star Rail in bursts, but I think the actual turn based combat is lacking (turns get boiled down to attack or Skill, ultimate on cooldown). Hopefully this one gives characters at least 3 or so skills.

1:38 Tought it was Caelus from HSR. The game looks pretty nice overall, but I'm not sure if I'll have enough time to actively play it since I'm already with two gachas and I'll probably hook up with Wuthering Waves, ZZZ and Arknights Endfield when they get released.

Well the gacha meta has certainly changed. I dunno whether or not Hoyo deserves all the credit it was probably a confluence of things, but they were one of the first and now that they've proven what is possible everyone wants a piece. Sort of reminds me of the post-WoW days, when everyone was trying to make the next best MMO. I hope the gacha market isn't collapsed under the weight of high production costs. Anyways, game looks all right, I'll try it; but too many gachas, not enough time so it will need to impress me.

Hopefully this game will have auto complete on the material stages after clearing the stage once, since that is one of the main issues I have with Hoyo games in general. When you are forced to fully do fighting on material grinding, with only auto play as the option, making the experience a chore wait on, especially if the AI controlling your units are doing a terrible job managing them.
I love turn based games thanks to Honkai Star Rail I might check it out

I don't know when is the turning point of the great tidal wave of new title to open world genre or something similar but it's a welcome one to free market monopolized by hoyo and other company that find success in it albeit not as much as genshin
I can't wait to see even greater games in 2024-2025+!

Stix, I see that you like trying out gacha games but most that I've seen are just CN or KR gacha games. Have you ever once wanna try JP gacha games and if you want, try out the old gachas a.k.a the og's? Well just for curiosity I truly wanna know what nowadays gacha gamers would think abt old time japanese gacha bcs I personally still play some of them for more than 5 years

I really like turn based rpg but my hands are already full with Hsr plus wuwa ,and asur promilia all releasing this year or early next year so I just can't see myself playing etheria, sorry 😢

Was it just me or were there some 'legally distinct/inspired by' designs? The white haired fox lady with the fan is clearly Tingyun. The MC is basically Caelus from HSR. And I think I saw Jing Yuan's stand. I saw silver wolf.

Hmmm, it’s a little weird. This game is pretty much my type of game, but I’m not sure I’d actually play it.
It has nothing to do with not having enough time, but I just feel like this game hasn’t reached all of its available potential concerning music and character design.
For example, I like some aspects of their design but not their full design, making me just feel “meh” for every character. They don’t exactly draw me in.
And the music isn’t bad, but I feel like that rhythm will get annoying if I have to hear it over and over unlike some tunes where even if I hear them a hundred times I’ll still hum them lmao.
I want to hear my music and see if they’ll polish each design. Also the art style doesn’t have anything particularly unique about it. It’s not bad, it’s good, but not unique. It doesn’t feel very “creative”.
I’ll keep in eye on this one, but I wonder if and when it’ll go global, and if they plan on changing anything. Also the backgrounds are meh too.

Hard pass it's turn based but it doesn't look nearly as good HSR. HSR rn is the only turn based game that I actually enjoy every else is just mid. Also I play afk journey and it's pretty good.

Too much clothes on big breast characters.
HSR already cover up but Jingliu, Acheron, Black Swan, Ruan Mei, even Himeko easy beat all the big breast characters of this game.
For whatever reason this game expose more skin on small breast characters while put more clothes on big breast characters.
already playing with gi, hsr, az, nikke, pgr, sb, and some other, incoming wuwa, No vibe with this game, not my type. lol

After playing BDO these characters looks pathetic. Pretty much all characters from Chinese games look bad.
