    Milton was stone blind when he wrote Paradise Lost, having dictated the entire work. He saw the whole thing with his inner eye, a feat he reflects on elsewhere. I love Milton. Who would not? Thank you for your talk and presentation.

    The answer to the question,
    "Is Milton better than Shakespeake?"
    would be dumber than the already colossally dumb question that is asked in the first place.

    Satan is presented in “Paradise lost” in all his beauty and glory, as the most powerful Angel. His expulsion from heaven , into Hell, seems all the more poignant in view of this. Powerful imagery and verse.

    The affected faux-innocent style used by the actors they get for such readings is enough to put people off whatever they're hearing. Sickly-sweet middle-class fare.
