In the Czech Republic this is considered as a very good medicinal plant, i was very suprised to learn most people from foreign countries considered this as an inedible weed, you can make tons of stuff with these, (as you did in this video) such as a syrup simmilar to honey!
Awesome! Cool to know thanks! Maybe I’ll have to try the syrup next
Their an invasive species in North America lol
@@honkhonk8009the same companies that own week killers own companies that make heart medication. Dandelions are known for heart health benefits. Put two and two together, Sherlock.
@honkhonk8009 If so, turn that negative into a positive & help feed your community or family with delicious, nutritious food!🤗
P.S. I'm actually a little giddy because I appreciate good grammar & you correctly put "an" instead of "a" before a vowel, which very few ppl know to do!👌😁
they were brought over to America as a medicinal plant by the pilgrims
I love the positive energy of your videos. When things go a little wonky, you just roll with it with a laugh and good humor. Thanks for giving the world a little bit of your sunshine ☀
Thanks for such a thoughtful and kind comment! So appreciate you watching and supporting 🙌🏻😄
these videos are so slow-paced and calm. i love how they're not over-edited like a lot of other videos on youtube. you just earned a new sub 👍
Thanks! Appreciate you watching and for the support! Welcome aboard 😄🙌🏻
I remember collecting dandelion flowers for my grandma for her to make dandelion- honey and coffee :)
Awesome! I’ll have to try making honey next time!
**Disclaimer**
If you are going to do the same, and eat dandelions make sure you dont eat the ones near big roads or cities, as they may contain a bunch of chemistry and stuff that is deadly to a human. It is better to find a forest that is not very popular and offtrail js to be safe!
Yup definitely! 🙌🏻
this man is the most enthusiastic person ive seen about nature, and i LOVE IT!! such a wholesome dude man..

How to afford food in college:
Haha ya legit! The ultimate hack
But the apartments don't have dandelions
LITERALLY.
I have been foraging plants for years now, i highly recommend making sure you get your dandelions from somewhere that hasnt been sprayed with any oest or herbicides and isn't next to a busy road way!
I loved this video of you are serious about dandilions i love the stems! sauted in an omelette or fresh on salad, they are like green beans, kinda. Very good though.
Some other prarrie pesto canidates include lambs quarter, common plantain, stinging nettles, wild mustard, wild garlic, and even finding some good pecans or roaated acorns for a pine nut substitute.
Once again always make sure you forage away from roads and spray sights, that stuff can be bad for your gut health (probably wont kill you but its best practice)
Awesome! Thanks for the helpful info and tips 🙌🏻😄
You shouldn’t eat plantain leaves, bad advice. Use the flowers as a poultice, sure
@@humansomewhat2167 they would totally make an awsome poultice! That and velcro weed together would work really well. I still eat the leaves though as to me they have a very satisfying flavor and when they are pickled they remind me of grape leaves. That's just why they are one of my personal favorites .
I guess it could be fun to try and make cord with them since they are so fibrous
Sad they spray all over where I live 😢
We ate them as greens as kids, but my favorite use of dandelions is dandelion wine! It's delicious and opening a bottle in the winter is like opening a bottle of summer sunshine.
Awesome! I’ll definitely have to try making that next time! 🍷
My grandma's sure wasn't...and it had decades to age. We had more fun joking about it than the drinking would ever provide.
The garnish😂 killed truly legit man gosh im making these later today.
Dandelion coffee sounds like Starbucks is taking notes
Haha legit! What if it shows up as a new item on their menu
Can't be worse than Olive Oil coffee.
I'm not gonna lie that can actually be true😂😂😂😂😂😂😅😅😅😅 but there's a very small chance of will appear on their menu, but that is a good comment too bring up
I've heard about dandelion coffee, but never even thought of turning them into pesto and fritters! I'm so gonna try this!
Now you know! Your dandelion cuisine options have expanded 🙌🏻 lemme know how it goes when you try it!

“Oh look, a dandelion must be the last one of the season.”
I love the flowers caramelised or steeped in tea with lemon and honey, and the root to make a coffee substitute with adding come carob, also macerate the flowers with garlic in oil, great oil for food and a liver tonic.
wow, sounds great and looks delicious. Thank you, Connor!

You can use every part of this plant and it's healthy and tasty and for free? I'm sure, the goverment will ban it soon 🤭
Exactly! Haha hope not 😆😅
no they want you to eat this stuff, that's why they are trying to push people away from eating meat 😅😅
@weo1...: Wrong! They want you to buy cheap unhealthy food that cost a lot, so THEY earn much money and WE d!e before getting pension.

I have very low anemia, been taking vitamins but for some reason my body doesn’t really retain the iron. I looked up more natural iron sources and came across dandelions. Thank you for trying all these recipes or ways I can prepare them so I can try and see how my iron is in about a month. Again, thank you!
I would try eating beef
Ahhhh this brings me back to elementary school. I used to eat dandelions raw but then got curious and decided to look it up. I made this exact fritter recipe with my family once.

Great Video. Thanks for the info and entertainment.
Thank you! Glad you enjoyed it! And appreciate you watching/supporting 🙌🏻😄
Bravo! You did it again! A beautiful, uplifting, creative, informative video. With no innuendos, just clean informative education. I can no longer drink coffee since I began purifying my body for health. So I drink a dandelion and chickory drink called Dandy Blend. It does have body like coffee, making it satisfying to me. Now, If I had your dandelions, I'd see my "grocery Store" also has a pharmacy. I try the pain reliever formula, as I used to get Wild Lettuce as they call it for pain, and they also make it into many formulas as those weeds are really our friends. Who'd have known? Boy, this world is upside down. Thank you for holding your side up. Much Love
Thanks so much! Really appreciate your kind words and support 😄 and awesome I had no clue about that, I’ll have to try the Dandy Blend! 🙌🏻
Well according to Minecraft Dandelions are a good source of saturation, who says games don't help you in real life.
Haha ya legit! Good point
In early spring, the young crowns of dandelion can be gathered before leaves get 6" long or so (before flower buds form). These are much less bitter than older greens. They are famously made into salad with a hot bacon vinaigrette by Pennsylvania Dutch.
Okay awesome! Thanks for the info/tip!
From Kashmir. Have been consuming dandelion leaves (dried) with rice for past 20 years. It's a part of our cuisine in winters.
Awesome! I’ll have to try eating it that way sometime, sounds great 🙌🏻
Bees Swarm Simulator in Real Life but without The Bees.
Haha legit!
"The dandelions have risen up and formed a secret society"
Oh great it's the Kingdom Hearts mobile game all over again
Haha I haven’t heard of that game but now I kinda wanna play it! 😅🙌🏻
It looks amazing there
🙌🏻😄
I love these videos man, keep doing these.

you can turn you recipes into business
An intriguing challenge haha! Or a seasonal restaurant that only serves dandelion dishes!
Your lawn looks beautiful with the bright green grass

You can fry anything and it tastes good. Thanks for the ideas.

How long was that extension cord? What gage was it as well. It sounded like both blenders motors were struggling. You may have been experiencing a pretty decent amount of voltage drop my friend. Thank you for the awesome video!❤
Pretty long haha okay good point! 🙌🏻😅

I made a bottle of dandelion tea last Spring for the first time, it was delicious!! Definitely making it as soon as possible again! Taking care of the lawn in the meantime lol

This is so genuine
Free grocery store, yup. I just started foraging and have been all natural salads , teas, greens and salves. Amazingly natural lettuce, greens and herbs are so nutrient rich unlike store bought.
Awesome! Yes so true

The delayed "Ow its hot!" Really made me laugh. Thanks for including the blender fail. I love how down to earth this channel is. I made Saag with dandelion leaves once. Its slightly different but still quite good. I'd totally do it again. I worry about our lawn/neighbors lawn and pesticides though. Dandelion jelly is on my bucket list of things I want to make. I first saw a recipe I think in 2018, but still haven't done it. It was being sold at my local farmers market last year though. Also, cute family 🥰
Lol
Thanks haha glad you appreciated it and enjoyed the video! Oooh sounds good I’ll definitely have to try the jelly next!
@@itsConnorCreates sometimes it's called dandelion honey. I just don't like to call it that because blood sugar wise it seems more like jam to me, and I have several diabetetics in my extended family T1, and T2
@@YasuTaniina okay sweet thanks! I'll definitely look into it
