All I can say is that they can never be able to show us what happened that day or to those people as it was worse than horrible. I am glad they were able to show us a glimpse of what happened the day our heroes died. Rest in peace Sailors!
A lot of people give this movie hate but I loved it. The real life story is both amazing and tragic. If you don't like the movie that's fine I'm not forcing you to like it but we're all entitled to our own opinions mine is just one that people disagree on
This was the most terrible sacrifice, it Has been logged in us navy history and around the world as the biggest shark attack in history. God bless them all, will we never learn, I hope one day we will, rest in peace all of you, and as for cpt macvay you will live on you had no reason to do what you did, you'll always and will be a honoured and respected hero and dedicated commander. Rip
In my opinion, I think the film would have been better if they had more famous soldiers that survived the shipwreck. Not the real soldiers, I meant being portrayed by Actors.
In the age of technology - this film could have done more justice to those whose story they were telling! -The story line could have been stronger! I see more horror in a B rated movie... these men lived through unimaginable horror and the film did NOT make you feel like you were living it with them. Ive seen some Star Trek episodes that pull the viewer in more than this movie did. What a shame! Our youth need to feel what our WWII generation went through! Do you think they read about it ? Sadly these types of movies share our history with todays young people! The music was the most touching. 😞 - WWII generation's motto was "If you cant do something right, dont do it at all!" and "Never do things half as*ed". - Just one persons opinion.
I enjoyed this film OK the shark graphics weren't that good. The sea should have been much more crowded with disparate disparing sailor's. So the audience could have a better perspective of the horror of watching your shipmates being attacked by the sharks. The worst tragedy is that of captain Charles mcvay thelll being made a scapegoat, not only did he lose his ship but also the guilt he suffered from losing nearly all his crew,may he rest in piece. People who've seen this movie with mixed opinions, I suggest you watch mission of the shark starring Stacey keach in some ways I thought it was better and seemed more gritty somehow, anyway watch it and then make up your own mind.
The film was awful. The acting, special effects was dire. I must warn you not to watch this film. Total respect to all those who lost their lives on board the US Indianapolis and this film doesnt do them justice and is quite an embarrassment to those who sadly lost their lives.
Bluenose 47 it was actually not a horrible film to be honest. Yes it had its flaws, yes some parts could have been way better, yes the animation was horrible, but it did a really great for what it got right. I'd rate it a 7 out of 10 actually. The film looses 2 points for special effects, animation, and lack of extras to make the water seem more populated on the first two days. It looses a single point for acting by the some of the side cast. Nicolas Cage actually did really well towards the end of the film. In the beginning half his acting wasn't good, but he saved it in the end.
I have to say thatyou are easily pleased cause i thought the film was awful and my wife was begging me to turn the film off as well. The graphics were dire and i have always mainly liked Nicholas Cage as an actor ie Leaving Las Vegas etc but im pretty sure when he looks back on this then he will probably cringe.
Exceptional music and so many great memories that we shared together during that film that i produced. Merci Laurent.

There were to many fictional characters. It would have been better if they had more historical characters instead.
