For anyone wondering about the houses they were constructed in place of a sea wall with all the strength of a sea wal including 4 layer glass on the front windows and they did this to preserve the look of the prince coast

Thank you for that information. I was in St. Malo, when a cross-Channel ferry took us there, from Southhampton. Beautiful. And, that was dramatic footage.
I have friends who live, literally, across the street from the Pacific Ocean, here, in California. They're keenly aware of how to prepare for storms.

It is not unusual, Saint Malo is well-known for its huge spring tides, so the local are pretty much used to it. Actually it's way more dangerous for tourists that are not aware of the phenomenon

I come from St Malo in france and this Waves appears 2/3 times every year and Don’t worry it’s safe waves are broken by the « wall »

Superb filming of Storm Caira. Sadly my tiny DJI Mini got destroyed in a storm the week before this where I live. However I also managed to film Storm Caira where I lkve beside the sea as well. That was until I got swamped by a wave that killed my camera.🤣
I managed to film it in 96fps buttery smoothness, so the camera did not die in vain after all.

Pour apprécier les marées à leur juste valeur, il faudrait des prises de vue à marée basse, 13 mètres de marnage et la houle de 5-10 mètre c'est spectaculaire quand on a vu la marée basse 😉
