Just like I use a small 12-volt fuel pump to siphon / get fuel out of my f-150 for gas for lawnmower / quads etc ! It works great but , Like you said they sell either the gasoline version or the diesel/ oil version! I think you're right about seals in the pump ! Can't use oil pumps on gas or vice versa ! Keep up the good work! Great videos !!
I have one for caster oil but it just broke and I’m not sure what is broken. So I am trying to figure out how it functions internally. But nice video. I would try to minimize the face time and just get to business with the subject matter at hand. I hope that helps!
I need something similar, to pump something of similar viscosity to motor oil however the tip I need at the “end” of the whole process needs to be 3mm. We do it by hand currently and it’s a b*itch. I want to pressurize the system to require a little less muscle. Any advise internet?
Heads up I bought this specifically for Kerosene. Installed it with hopes it would work...it does not. Sat in the can for two weeks and the plastic is melting...don’t use with Kerosene.
Oil is Oil ! It will work with Fuel oils ! Like diesel fuel or kerosene which is #1 diesel fuel or same as jet fuel ! Don't let anyone tell you otherwise ! Back in the 80's or early kerosene was cheap like under a dollar !! Then when someone spilled the beans to Big aviation that jet fuel and kerosene are the very same fuel and of course aviation fuel is five or six dollars per gallon now all of a sudden kerosene at your local pump had to be the same !!
My assumption is that it comes down to viscosity. I'll test pumping fuel sometime to confirm. Mh other concern is what fuel might do to the seals of the pump but in my experience, it takes years for a negative affect.
nice device and thank you for sharing but did you really need 2 .5 minutes of blah blah blah to show the unit. please people who are making you tube videos get to the point, anything more than 15 - 20 secs of blah blah blah is just annoying.
Great Video and great explanation. The pump is up to $18 now.... Still very affordable and NOT make a mess.. Thank you for posting.
I’ll be heading to Harbor Freight tomorrow to see if they have one! Thanks!
You're welcome. Thanks for the comment!

Get a life he did great with the video. No one on CZcams wants to hear you whine.
I ordered one yesterday. I'm going to use it to put oil in my hydro gear transmission on my zero turn mower.

These are nice to have. We used something similar for years at dads shop for filling differentials
Very good video, and Happy Birthday belated. My birthday is in March too. Stay Healthy!
Thanks for the information and video.
The threads did not match those on the 5 gallon pail of oil that I have. It certainly does pump slowly... which is good to avoid spills at least.
Thanks for the demo. You got my sub! Off to HF I go! About how many strokes per qt? I’d guess about 15-16.
We find roughly 20 but have yet to measure.
@@BlakesGarage1 thanks for the quick response ! Great channel btw!
Happy Birthday. Love the watch. What is the manufacturer and model? Looks like a great gift.
mine would not screw on to hydrolic oil 5 gallon bucket. Where can I get a lit to fit?

Look up the OTC bucket pump on Amazon.
It’s 3 times as much
@@THEMOWERMEDIC1 3 times as nice andbl 3 times easier to use. Been there done that
Do you think this would work with paints? Maybe if thinned the paint a bit?
I imagine so yes but not sure about cleaning in between colors
would this work for strong bleach? like will it withstand it over time

Thanks for the heads up. I was hoping to use it for gas but it says specifically not for fuel use.
👍

Point...it does *.* ...it costs *.*...not hard to do...
Do you suppose that you could get to the point ever????
LOL!!
Another drawn out video that took forever & didn’t show me how to prime it!!
Can you imagine how much longer the video would've been!?
That pump is a p.o.s
