Great Video and great explanation. The pump is up to $18 now.... Still very affordable and NOT make a mess.. Thank you for posting.

Just like I use a small 12-volt fuel pump to siphon / get fuel out of my f-150 for gas for lawnmower / quads etc !
    It works great but ,
Like you said they sell either the gasoline version or the diesel/ oil version!
I think you're right about seals in the pump !
Can't use oil pumps on gas or vice versa !
    Keep up the good work!
    Great videos !!

I ordered one yesterday. I'm going to use it to put oil in my hydro gear transmission on my zero turn mower.

I have one for caster oil but it just broke and I’m not sure what is broken. So I am trying to figure out how it functions internally. But nice video. I would try to minimize the face time and just get to business with the subject matter at hand. I hope that helps!

These are nice to have. We used something similar for years at dads shop for filling differentials

The threads did not match those on the 5 gallon pail of oil that I have. It certainly does pump slowly... which is good to avoid spills at least.

Thanks for the demo. You got my sub! Off to HF I go! About how many strokes per qt? I’d guess about 15-16.

I need something similar, to pump something of similar viscosity to motor oil however the tip I need at the “end” of the whole process needs to be 3mm. We do it by hand currently and it’s a b*itch. I want to pressurize the system to require a little less muscle. Any advise internet?

Heads up I bought this specifically for Kerosene. Installed it with hopes it would work...it does not. Sat in the can for two weeks and the plastic is melting...don’t use with Kerosene.

    Oil is Oil !
It will work with Fuel oils !
Like diesel fuel or kerosene which is #1 diesel fuel or same as jet fuel !
Don't let anyone tell you otherwise !
Back in the 80's or early kerosene was cheap like under a dollar !!
Then when someone spilled the beans to Big aviation that jet fuel and kerosene are the very same fuel and of course aviation fuel is five or six dollars per gallon now all of a sudden kerosene at your local pump had to be the same !!

    • @BlakesGarage1
      @BlakesGarage1  Před 5 měsíci

My assumption is that it comes down to viscosity. I'll test pumping fuel sometime to confirm. Mh other concern is what fuel might do to the seals of the pump but in my experience, it takes years for a negative affect.

nice device and thank you for sharing but did you really need 2 .5 minutes of blah blah blah to show the unit. please people who are making you tube videos get to the point, anything more than 15 - 20 secs of blah blah blah is just annoying.
