    Love the intro. Looks a little bit busy compared to New Zealand

    Wowsa.... so glad I found your channel !! I've been to New Zealand twice (I LOVE New Zealand) and been to Vietnam twice (I LOVE Vietnam). Yep, agreed, Hanoi is quite different from anywhere I've been. At first I didn't like it... too crazy! However, I knew there was lots to learn there. Maybe because I grew up in the 60's and 70's during the American - Vietnam war years. First time in human history that we were able to see a war in progress on the television. Seeing those bombs going off and knowing innocent people were being killed was quite the impression on a young kid growing up. My curiosity expanded as I watched the news with Walter Cronkite. Always felt compassion for those Vietnamese people who got bullied throughout history by the Chinese, the Japanese, the French, and the Americans. It's amazing that a country that is so small in size can even exist and flourish. Here I am wearing cloths that are made in Vietnam, shoes made in Vietnam, Samsung phone that is made in Vietnam. It's truly remarkable what those people have accomplished.

      Unfortunately I’m not going to the Philippines on this trip! I’m kind of planning to go there in future and do more of Indonesia / Borneo and Eastern Malaysia at the same time.

    Loved Hanoi and was so proud to cross the busy, busy, busy roads and survive. Happy travels! 😊

      @@eowynaldridge Reality is on a whole different level in Vietnam.... very intuitive, it's all about going with the flow.

    Do they have different dialects aside from their national language?

    • @eowynaldridge
      @eowynaldridge  Před 5 měsíci

      There are some regional dialects but I think they can still understand regular Vietnamese (in the next video I kind of experience this when I visit some indigenous villages)
