I think that the most important for a new player is to get practical stuff like engine or gen, because they can already do many things with blue weapons :p
Vectors are not bad for beginners, but they are weak with low durability, so if you get hit by a cannon or shotgun you're not gonna be effective in the field. Defender is an alternative beginner machine for better durability and decent damage, but with limited shooting angles. Both are great and it prefers on the players style.
I beg to differ a little on the Defender. The extra health, especially compared to Chords and Vectors, is nothing to be discounted - especially at low power scores. And that's also the main reason I would actually recommend against Vectors. They're just too damn fragile and likely to get stripped off early in the game. As to canons I agree with your assessment but another hurdle to using them for new players is that they really need an ammo pack to be worth having. So that's yet another blue item you'll need as a support system just to make them viable. Another detail for new players, regarding autocannons: They might look good on paper but have some non-so obvious downsides. The first is their turning time is pretty sluggish and that's going to get you killed in a close-up battle. The second is that they have a pretty substantial recoil and that can throw off your aim (especially if you have a smaller vehicle or are moving sideways). And neither of these shows up as weapon stats. It's just something you'll have to learn the hard way. And if you try to stay back and snipe you might live longer but generally won't be able to put enough damage on target to have been much help in the battle. A great weapon in theory but, like the Emily, not so much in actual practice. Also something to consider: your computer's frame rate and ping. (Hit F11 to see your actual ping while you're battling.) Any weapon that relies on accurate shots is going to be very dependent on these factors.
I disagree with ranking defenders in this bottom 5, they’re armored Vectors, integrate easily with your bumpers and structural pieces, and you’ll be turning towards the enemy all the time anyway. I learned to raid with 3 then 4 of those, and have no regret.
Does the emily even count? its a non-craftable preimium item witch i dont belive a new player would have the coins to get. shouldn't the list contain weps the are accesible to new players?
Hmm... worst new player rare/special weapon? I'd prolly go with the... synthesis? I know it can be hard to land the burst fire of shots paired with sub-par projectile velocity.
Good vid. I think I would say the worst weapon for a new player to grind is one they have not tested to see if they like it, from the point of view of 'feel'. One of the best features of Crossout is the ability to test builds and weapons. No point grinding for a cannon when you just don't like the game play and drive style of them.

Worst starter weapon? i'd say Avengers, since they barely output any damage. This, of course, even makes them useless for veteran players. As for my previous comment before the update, now that I have my nova cabin, I can finally say that nova retcher dogs are insanely good! I put mine on exhibition, it's called NovaCat if you want to take a look at it, or even use it yourself!
I've got 2 new friends that just started playing last week. My one buddy is already almost level 15 engineers and level 5 lunatic. Another buddy I just got him to level 6 Engineers. The rapier actually was my level 15's starter blue gun. I told him he may not like it then every single game he was getting mvp lmfao gotta show it alittle more love mr. G
Defenders and Spitfires have their place, but they have to be paired with other weapons to be truly effective. For example, I have a low ps build that features a fused Defender that I paired with two Vectors and a Breeze radiator on a Wyvern cabin with a Hardcore engine; typical Nomads faction build. It's still pretty useful for something that sits below 4K power score, and I love using it in raids as well as pvp. I'll have to resubmit the build to the Exhibition, but the title I gave it was "Nomad Scout". Also, the in-game name to look for is "Warren_the_wolf". Should have it uploaded in a few after I've had dinner. Good luck out there survivors!

Yes! i would love to see vids on a new account, going thru the grind of te game and show how you gather materials and do raids, best build types and some PVP'ing.. perhaps a weakly upload with a summery of what you did and some highlights? so that new players can follow along.
Okay, finally doing some new player content means you get my subscription now. I've got a friend who swears by his autocannon habit, it's uncanny seeing him with one, but he's the exception to the rule I think. I'd point most new people to shotguns and machine guns. I will counter your thought on the judge though. Twin judges might be the best way to make 4k and start grinding plastic for a new player. Course, by the time your grinding plastic, your not that new.. so maybe that's not the stinging retort I think it is.
He's not the exception to the rule, I love autocannons at 4kish and I'd say with the build I get MVP at least 1 in 3 games and win 60-70% of games. They are so OP with point and click at mid-long range it's insane

I wouldn't count the boom.... it costs 90c (on PC) so a long long way for a newbie, but yea if it's something your thinking of grinding for..... The only reason to use these is to go in for a quick kill then suicide and leave the match for a quick XP hit. It is better for raids tho, run 3 and you can run into normal and some hard raids with it. Have to agree with the rapier, they are misleadingly bad.... AVOID!! There's no excuse for using this worthless pile of garbage. I went down that road when I first started, ended up running 3 on a growl cab with some noob coolers (I was lucky to drop a gasgen from the wanderer's crate really early) because they had good range and seemed to do decent damage.... Even then I couldn't even complete story mode with em. Can use them better now but still eww. Defender is interesting because actually its a nice MG to use and the firing angle isn't that bad, especially when compared with the rotational speed of the LB. If your doing raids (and even pvp) would recommend 2 of these as armor for 2 vectors behind them on a Growl/Big G chassis. DPS is great and you won't find a better 2x4 block to protect your vectors. Looking forward to the top 5.
Disagree massively with this list, as a relatively new player who's enjoyed the early days. Wasps are the worst. Can't protect them, can't maneuver them well enough to get consistent shots off, and suck at raids. I love the rapier. Click and shoot does more dps than machine guns and at better range, and they have more durability. Best weapons to have early game (except raids) by a mile.
Defender is an excellent noob weapon. Even after the nerf. It was my first "breakout" weapon that i still use on alot of my builds. Even noobs can look in a general direction and tap fire. Higher damage, higher dura and you can attach parts to it. Great for early game experimentation and they work well in raids too
Defender is actuly realy good weapon for new People because it has high durability good damage and good accuracy and i know what i am talking about with 4000 hours of crossout
Im a weekold newbie,I watched the enemies that killed me closely and found on ps4 the 2499ps max noobmeta is dual rapier or dual summator or dual bore, so i have both and triple bore , also a borewedge variant XD all on simple cabs some not even radar+radio , fueltanks always, 1big 1 small ofcourse...working on a terminator truck, its in the ps4 exhibition...my dream is a giant rolling donut XD
Sure nice to know I made it to lvl 12 using the defender, rapier and chord mounted to non pass through parts without radars or radiators and only 4 wheels. No wonder I suck so bad, I’m making all the wrong moves!
defenders are the best thing ever. I used to use them on hard raids, and pvp is also decent if you know how to use them. The hp is very welcome, you do more damage if the weapon stays alive vs the wet toilet paper hp of the rotating MGs
I've played at 4.5K-5.1K for so long, i swear its newbie land From crappy builds using trucker or sideways lances to people that just mashed battlepass weapons onto their build, this video should really open up their eyes And if anyone is asking what I'm doing at 5.1k, i run a quad sinus growl build with 1357 durability
On all weapons new player must lear how to play, all guns good but for situation, machineguns bad playes fast destroyed, cannons must feel crosshair, autocannons is best weapon for new players. Look on my last video, 8 kills on blue autocannons :) I play 13 months
sell stuff in the in-game market, the easiest is to sell resources like scrap or copper, but you get a bit of added value by crafting and selling. just seek the priciest blue and try to craft it, preferably with farmed materials.

I was mvp the other day with my 8900 PS build where the other players were between 11k to 13k PS - my party included. Got 2600 points with one defender, one spitfire, one mace. I used the defender over the usual 2nd spitfire because of the daily task and it's almost like a shotgun at close range. Even after the nerf I would still recommend it. It was my first blue weapon, too :)
@@Gabriel-bt7ix Maybe try quad spitfire? I personally prefer 3 plus 3 coolers/rads and doppler, cheetah, chameleon. The spitfire nerf is really not noticable imo. Spitfires have an ok range for shotguns, too, and weight, size, PS are the same as defender, you might want to try.

I'd say that Defenders where your first step out of being a new player, and being able to be a better player.
for a new player, in raids, defender could be the best, however in pvp need some skills for best use of it

If irrc I skipped straight to ac50 storm over rapier cause the perk seemed appealing when I first started.
Wasps are also very difficult to aim for new players, probably not the best option on wheels overall

Yes, but your not new, your good now, and are making a hard weapon look good. My friend was good with them, even when he was new and bad.

This was well thought out man. I disagree about the rapiers but i can see how new players might struggle at range or controlling recoil
They are also slow tracking at close range. A good fast build will cut the dps down by 75 percent if they eont stip it
I think storms are pretty good as an upgrade from rapiers
