Yes.. those “ Dollar General “ Stores are like a mirage in a desert BUT real ! LOL !!! They are everywhere which is nice while traveling .

Oh.. I knew you’d like those wooden balls. Since we have pretty much the same taste. But you know I’d love to find more of them.
Oh those DG are random.. yes .. deserted areas. I’m still surprised by how many I can go to in one day. We left one on Saturday that I was at a week before and all the decor items were different. I told Chris they are like mini Targets. You have to grab it and go. Or like target it’s not there the next time 🤗💕

I want to thank you for showing that black spray paint as a first coat works so well even with white! I just can’t believe how much easier it is to use with lighter colors
Everything is beautiful. Funny, the most ugly to me...the trays, turned out to be my favorite after your makeover. Great find and hope they sell. You deserve to be so successful. Another amazing set of projects!! The riser with the grain stripes turned out great. The mineral really pulled in those tones from the wood grain. Great paint choice. And the trays with the sun flowers, loved them. The wooden balls with the numbers are such a great addition to a vignette of decor. Keep the great videos coming!!

I love Dollar General, I have four in my little (rural) town of about 11,000 folks, yep, I know that seems like a lot of stores for such small town but... you are right, they don't all carry the same inventory. You're also right about them being stuck out in the middle of nowhere, but that's a good thing too. I love all of your pretty cottage core makeovers, I can never choose just one. I love your channel and manage to get a little inspiration from your ideas and learn a few techniques and tips too.
When I first saw the riser that you sanded, I thought grain sack striping would really look good on it. And then you did the striping on it, I was saying, "Nailed it! My menfolk thought i was going crazy, but I was excited to see the finished project.

Excellent and knowledgeable . You are an inspiration . I've been looking into other ways to make money. Living on So. Security sucks. So I also refinish furniture. 36 yrs experience with classes equal to 3 weeks . Learned stuff from all 3 husbands (LOL) I'm 67 now and gotta decide what I could generate money with. So I love your make-overs. Profitable enough when you do the numbers. Love your inspiration, Keep it Up!!

I’m new here- starting this week! I’m not nearly as cleaver. As you- but I wanted to share a cute thing I did to my birdcage! I too put a ceramic bird in my birdcage.. and I added a very tiny white feather in the birds mouth edge… 😮. I scattered a few more tiny feather in the bottom of the cage! Ta-Da! Makes me smile!

The best stencil brushes that I have found are by far the JRV (Jami Ray Vintage) Stencil Brushes. I thought I could not stencil for the longest time and I tried every single stencil brush under the sun. Someone told me to try the JRV ones and now I stencil a lot and absolutely love doing it. Those brushes make such a huge difference, it is unbelievable! You will not loose a single bristle out of them either. If you are looking to invest in a good stencil brush, I absolutely suggest those ❣
