another fun fact: rocket knight adventures has 4 unique games. joel plays the original in this vid: there's sparkster on the snes and genesis (entirely different games in every way, levels/graphics/story/etc), and a pretty meh pc reboot.

Am I the only one who finds it odd a European calls a Mega Drive a Genesis? I mean, yeah, i'm an American, that's what I'm used to calling it, but all my life on the internet my mind has adjusted: everyone outside of the US knew it as the Mega Drive. To hear a thick Swedish accent constantly calling it "Genesis" is very strange to me indeed.
He probably considers that the mainstream name since the Genesis sold the most consoles in North America compared to other regions.

This is a tragic story about how Bubsy killed another game.
After Bubsy come out, everyone was trying to be the new sonic, and the people were tired of that, so they started to buy less and less "new plataform games with new characters", so, 1993, and Plok came out, and people started to acuse the game to be a copy of Bubsy... Yeah... a copy of THAT... and so, almost nobody played the game.
Now, it was a copy of Bubsy? of course not, it have NOTHING to do with bubsy, it looks more like Rayman, but 2 years before Rayman even existed, and it have one of the best soundtracks of all the SNES.
So, if you wanna play a SNES game and you don't know what game you should play, play Plok.

Twitch is different from CZcams, obviously because they're differemt websites. CZcams is red, Twitch is purple. Joel just archives his Twitch streams so that they're uploaded to CZcams for later.

Yeah I had Blades of vengeance, great 90s. Any Souls fan will feel right at home. The combat is great you can even shield attacks from other enemies, and the level design is great.
