Torque specs:
Bolts that hold the 2 halves together: 25 Nm
Bolts that hold the carrier to the tunnel brace: 19 Nm
Blue or red thread locker recommended on all bolts.
Just made it home after installing piece 👌🏽💯 went on great.
Definitely recommend getting the JBX tunnel brace, makes it much easier. I didn’t jack my VW up so it was tight conditions , but everything worked out 👌🏽
Just installed this brace this on my 957 gts, no more shaking or vibrating. I recommend this product.
Update on the Porsche: it is fixed. No more issues with the midget with a hammer, or a jackhammer. However, there is a squealing noise every time I take off. Lasts for a few seconds, then it goes away. Have y’all ever heard of this happening or what it could possibly be? Thank y’all so much for making this part! It is a life saver!
I first replaced the carrier bearing with a regular part. Then that went to hell and I bought a new rear drive shaft. That carrier bearing went to hell after only driving it down the road both times. Finally I got the JBX part. It’s fixed, just a small squealing.
@@jolynnemccarley4204 that's not something I've heard of before in relation to the carrier install. I'd check for any contact between the bushings and the spinning portion of the driveshaft. Any smell of burning rubber after driving? Usually when there's contact it would smell like rubber and eventually self-clearance itself.
@@JXBPerformance no no smell
Got a link that I can buy one of these?
Typo in the video: incorrect timestamp provided for OEM brace footage.
JXB Tunnel Brace installation starts at 3:00
OEM installation starts at 8:21
I've installed the center bearing support per this video, however now I get some NVH (booming/driveline vibration) between 40-50mph. I've gone under the vehicle and loosened the tunnel brace bolts to allow it to "re-center" itself and made sure everything is aligned but the behavior still exists.
Shoot me an email at jay@jxbperformance.com and I'd be happy to help you get to the bottom of it. There are some easy fixes for this; typically you have a case of a wild driveshaft that's throwing the carrier around causing it to tap on the tunnel walls. There are some easy ways to prevent it.
Das Mittellager muss genau ausgerichtet sein in der Horizontalen.
Auch nur 1 Millimeter in der falschen Position, erzeugt Vibration.
Perfect
most annoying is you bought these and not prepare to share the specification and where we can acquire to change the support system
Why have you changed the inserts to ones woth holes in them?
You don't need to remove your drive shaft to install it with the factory plate. I wish you guys provided nuts to install it with he factory plate.
If you purchase it without the tunnel brace it comes with nuts to install with the factory plate. The tunnel brace we offer just makes the install easier as you don't have to turn a nut in tight quarters in the center tunnel.
Hi, I have a 2" lift installed on my 2009 Cayenne. Is it okay to still use the driveshaft carrier install
yeah that isn't a problem
@@JXBPerformance thanks, I bought one a while ago at the same time as I bought the lift kit and just wanted to make sure
Is it correct that the bushings I received are different then in the video?
I received the street ones, but they they dont say front on them and dont have the guide ridge in them either.
Yes it's correct. We have revised the bushings on this carrier since it was originally created and this video is recorded. Your bushings should have the part number 95501B0 or 95501B1 on them.
Where we can
Where we can bought this can you send me parts order please thank
You can buy them here: www.jxbperformance.com/products/cayenne-touareg-driveshaft-center-support-bearing-carrier-upgrade
Will this product work for my 2008 Porsche Cayenne?
Yes it will!
Is there any way I could get y’all to send me the link to buy this for my 2008 Porsche? Thanks!
When I put all of my info in to purchase, for some reason, on the “does this fit my car” section, it says NO. I’m confused… the description for the part clearly says Porsche Cayenne 955-957. What should I do?
@@jolynnemccarley4204 I'm not sure which site you're trying to buy through, but if you purchase direct from the JXB Performance site there's no hard check of make/model to trip you up. www.jxbperformance.com/products/cayenne-touareg-driveshaft-center-support-bearing-carrier-upgrade
@@JXBPerformance thank you so much for your help. I got it ordered. I’ll let y’all know how it turns out! 🤞
are your products intended for off road use only?
Officially, yes; however, they are designed to not transmit NVH on smooth surfaces at speed.
