This time tho, it'll be a mission run, and in TAS mode. I ran the last mission, "The Presiden't Run", because it's just made of WIN. :D

For real, this game blew my eighteen year old mind back in November 1999..
@@deezy81 Damn son, I wasnt born until a month later (October of 99), got this game with a ps1 bundle back in 2007 and absolutely loved it. Still have my copy somewhere

To be fair, this is the PC version of the game. The PlayStation version looked absolutely hideous!

This was one of the hardest missions ever. It took me a whole day, man did I go insane lol. I got to the end scrapping the wall with 2mm left on my bar. I was like NOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO but I made it thanks to the cutscene kicking in right on time.

Chih Kit Chung I never reached the final mission since my PS1 got stuck loading the first mission in New York. I always wonder as a kid if the last mission was like survival. To some extent it definitely was just that !
@@Dave_Albright the police are relentless and impossible to outrun I found one route that worked you had to work hard to outsmart them

This has to be the hardest mission in the history of the Driver series! there was a dodgy way you could finish this level! if you got the car right up against certain walls you could make the police smash you right out of the level and you'd be driving in that weird outside zone and it would automatically register as mission complete!

@@someguy8951 I can't remember that one off the top of my head. I have finally finished the presidents run properly on my PS3. I decided a few years ago to keep going until it was done and I repeated it again and again until it was done! It was a long slog but I got there in the end.
@@someguy8951 Yeah, that mission was in Driver 2. It was very hard but not impossible.

I'm playing Driver:SF and wanted to refresh my memory before playing the challenge 'Legal Troubles', which is inspired on this President's Run.
But the similarities are not convincing, it does not even have a road block!
However, Driver:SF is a delight. Brings back the sweet memories of Driver 1.
Best driving game ever... my friends had to get me to do the driving license , in the underground car park, at the beginning.... never finished the presidents run though....I'm gonna get a ps1 and give it another go!

@@Dave_Albright tool-assisted speedrun robot. Basically what it does is when your speed running any little mistake you made or a little minor mistakes using the tabs but you can erase those mistakes but still keep the gameplay that you had in there think about crapping out parts of a video that you don’t want. It’s sort of like that before video games any little minor thing you do you can you race but still keep waking play that you did therefore you can make a perfect speed run. I hope I explained that right

No hard mode os perseguidores manobram e retomam velocidade de forma absurda!

For some reason this mission was glitched on my PC version and so I driven peacefully, there weren't road blocks neither

When I do this on normal difficulty, all the police and criminal cars just smash into me with nitros turbo's and homing devices. And they appear on almost every road. This must be a quite lucky run

This is more expert than in a survival game mode of driver
i‘ve just finished this mission on my ps1 after 2hours. it runs terrible on it, like half the speed, it should be, but nostalgia kept it going. it took me like 15h to complete the whole game on medium. one of the hardest missions i‘ve ever played
It should have ran the same , a flatscreen tv is more likely what caused your issues , try pick up an old big back tv and it's a very smooth experience
This mission was so hard the cops are faster than you it took me all day to complete

Save states takes out the challenge
They're nice tips and all, but they just don't seem to work on my version of the game. I've spent an hour trying to play this level as you have, but it's not working. Is yours an emulation?

What dou you prefer? Deliver Tofu in a AE86 or...Run with the president in a Cadillac?

I never understood why the cops chased you through the level but then in the cutscene the cops talk to you like they knew you
the protagonist in the game is an undercover cop.he didnt communicate with the other cops for the most part.so they thought he was capturing the president.
Tanner's lieutenant put him undercover and took his police badge, nobody else in the police (or other cities) knew, though he does near that end start give a cop pal info. A misnomer is also that those black cars are FBI, but they're the Castaldi gang you betray

I’m currently practicing it without save states on Hard mode. I will get it soon without damage.

When you did this I must have seen around 5 cop cars and don't think I saw one black car which is after you, I have been stuck on this for ages when I played it when it first came out I could not pass this mission and finally gave up and I have recently played it again and still can not do this I am lucky if I last a minute. How have you done it you got to be cheating somehow. Any advice would be much appreciated. Many Thanks

Try that on hard mode. Completed it once. Many years back. Can't achieve it since.
This is the first ever game i seen on playstation when i looking at i feel what a reality but now i will laugh of this graphics anyway lot of nostalgia
so basically you just saveState every clear 10 seconds and when you crash you reload ?
the Cadillac is the slowest car in the whole game that's ridiculous this cars usually very fast.
probably its slow because its armored.
@@oguzhantopcakan9055 For challenge reasons, they put everything they could against you.
The car itself is slow, clunky, and heavy. Outside of this mission on say a dry day, its handling is horrific. The only reason it has any semblance of turning power is because of the sleet on the road.
The cops are hyperaggressive (depending on the difficulty it's set on, but they're still out for your head) you've got an immediately 90% Felony meaning even if you do somehow give them the slip, you're immediately spotted.
And the FBI are giving chase as well, so not every aggressive car is blaring a siren.
Yeah, the ONLY saving grace they gave you was the high health.
Course this was changed in the PC version.

This is the soft version of '' president's run'' in the real version cops are mad as fuck. This was the hardest mission of all the time

Update: I did and it was kinda a bitch but I got lucky towards the end and one of the cars made me fly thru the air almost to the end of the level and luckily I landed on my wheels and I passed the mission ahahahaha
