@@chill543 It’s also much more pleasurable to do work on Saturdays in my opinion. It’s much less stressful than saving it for the Sunday, because you know that if you don’t quite finish all of your work, you have the day after to wrap it up! (Also you can eat more snacks without feeling shame lol)

It's nice to listen to lofi music after putting on a mask all day, after working with no break. It's nice to relax and just let the beats thrum in your ears while the 2am cold air hits your face letting you breath again. No one knows this side of you, this gentle relaxed person they don't know her. It's just you and the music.

I just meditated to this, might some more in a minute. It’s helping me release my pent up anxiety and negativity i’ve been holding in lately. I can’t fully release it due to the main reason why I have it, but it’s allowing me to hold out and clear any energy that I am currently able to let free. Thank you for this, the loft community is so chill, calm, and relaxing. I haven’t been listening to my usual music as much recently because I’ve been listening to Lofi. It’s forcing me to be more productive and in a calmer state of mind.
As someone dealing with increasing anxiety/horrible insomnia in our complex world I appreciate your uploads.

She had never felt so peaceful in her life.
The early morning sun was peeking through the slit in her open shoji doors, a ray of sunlight splitting the room in half by a powerful beam of golden glow. The night had been cool, but the sun’s intensity was fierce enough that her room had instantly turned into a sauna the moment it had risen, as if she were being enveloped in the warm embrace of giant hands. It was just the right amount of warmth, too; she’d bundled up for sleep in her favorite olive-green sweater, and so underneath her clothes she felt nice and toasty, but where her bare skin was exposed-her hands, face, and near the tops of her ankles-the sun washed over her skin in waves of soft and gentle heat.
She blinked, staring through half-lidded eyes at her cat, Butters. The family pet had walked into her room at some point during the night and claimed its favorite pillow that she always kept on the left side of her _tatami_ mat on which she slept. Butters’ tail twitched lazily in her sleep, flicking back and forth as the warm temperature and the relaxing pillow produced deep rumbling purrs from the cat.
Her headphones were still on, plugged into her phone. She’d been playing her lofi hiphop playlist, one that Spotify had helped her create, to get through the final exams that had kept her up all night. The playlist was still going, pumping relaxing music into her brain, almost melting away any stress or anxiety she’d been feeling. Her laptop was somewhere behind her, the screen display showing the list of assignments she’d completed. Books were strewn across the floor, and the tea kettle she’d boiled was on the ground next to her mat, the green tea in the cup having long since cooled.
The year had been hard. With the COVID-19 outbreak, everyone had been forced into online school. She’d struggled with the switch, with not being able to see her friends or experience the social life school had given her before. Her grades had taken a hit, but she had committed these final weeks of the semester, and pulled through. The long list of green checkmarked completed assignments on her computer screen was proof enough of that. And now there was talk of a vaccine in development. Soon, she thought, things would finally be back to normal.
She couldn’t help but feel proud of how far she’d come, of what the year had thrown at her and she’d still managed to rise above. Now, basking in the afterglow of a week’s worth of exams and projects, she felt as though she could lay here forever, and finally relax.

You close the book and take a deep breath. The smell of old yellowed pages and warm coffee has started to lose their charm. Your breath ghosts the dark morning air and you rub your arms. You're done. Time to call it a night.
You head back inside, and your cat follows you, his soft fur rubbing affectionately against your legs.
Inside is so warm, it welcomes you with a hug and a kiss on the cheek. You head to the kitchen. Some eggs, some noodles, a bit of broth. You sit at the table with a glass of ice water and a bowl of hot ramen. It fills you and brings its comfort. It reminds you of someone very important to you.
You wash the dishes, enjoying the feeling of warm water on your hands and the soft sudsy bubbles that tickle your arms. You decide to get a shower and can feel the tension of a long night wash away. You change into some soft pajamas and enjoy their plush against your warmed skin.
Its surreal but the sun is up now. Your bedroom has a golden glow to it and your cat stretches across a few of your books. You sit down to pick up the mess. You plug in your headphones and listen to the soft repetitive beats.
Something like your childhood.
Something like new.
Such a beautiful balance as you sit here in this moment.
Your eyes grow heavier. The warm sunlight beckons softly to you.
Your eyes catch a passage of one of your favorite books. You pause to read it.
'Just for a moment.' you think as you lay down and enjoy.
You don't fight falling asleep. After all, you've earned this rest.
You more than well deserve it.

This lofi girl stuff just reminds me of my teenage years, spending mos of my time in my room, studying, listening to music, sleeping and reading. This image in particular is so damn beautiful and nostaligic, i've spent many lazy sundays sleeping with my headphones on while outside this pale but still warm afternoon sun would shine through the windows, just like this picture. Ah man nostalgia hits again, can't believe it's been 10 years since finishing high school

Why do I love this music so hard?
While I'm drawing, reading, overthinking, and so on, I let Lofi music play...
It's like a liquid run trough my body and fill it with love and make me calm down...

To everyone who's studying with this music:
Checklist:
• A bottle of water, at least 1liter. Your brain works better if it has enough water and drinking helps you to concentrate💧
• Your charger. You sometimes don't even notice that your device's battery is going down, so better have it plugged in all the time🔋
• Your headphones. You will be able to focus more with headphones, because it blocks background noises. Also, if it's a late night study session, you won't wake up anyone🎧
• a tea or coffee. Coffee keeps you awake, green or black tea can make you feel more awake as well.☕
• Your study/work stuff: your laptop/tablet/phone , a few pens, paper or whatever you need.⌨
•Anything else you could need, what about a heat pad, a blanket, a good lamp, your pet so you have a study buddy 🐈
Reminder:After an hour, you should stand up and walk a bit around. Better stop the music or put on different music for the break. Open your window, even if it's cold outside. Fresh air will make it better, trust me.
You could also lay your head down on your desk for ten minutes and listen to a podcast. Or, if you have to read a book, listen to the audiobook of it. You can also listen to the audiobook while doing another thing, that's even better than listening to music while reading the book.

I think what makes Lofi Girls so admirable is that she seems to bale to catch that one feeling wich is so hard to hold on to. Everyone would love to hold on to that feeling when you are peacefully sleeping and the sun is peeking trough you window. In real life it only lasts for about 10 min, but here it never fades. It is always gonna be that one perfect moment in an endless loop playing for us. Thats why we love watching her.
That's why we love Lofi. The simple minimalist beats, and minor imperfections magnify the music, and give off a sense of contentment that we're all striving for. It's a message to all it's listeners that YOU DON'T NEED TO BE PERFECT AND POLISHED to be an amazing person. In fact, a few flaws can make you even better, in a weird way 😋. Everyone's seeking that kind of inner peace, whether they know it or not. Lofi has done just that for me, and I hope it'll continue to do so for many more 😁
